The house has been divided into 3 separate, self-contained units sleeping up to 10 people in double bedrooms. Units take their names from the history of Machadodorp, BaKoni, Geluk and EnTokozweni. Machado House is elegantly furnished in the old Victorian style of the late 1800s, and each bathroom has both a legged bath and a shower for the convenience and comfort of our guests. The whole of Machado House can be booked for a group get together, and the locked doors separating units can be opened to make a 10-bed party venue.
Just One More Cast Cottages is a complex of 4 cottages accommodating up to 16 people. This complex offers 2 couple cottages, 1 family cottage and 1 4-bedroomed cottage with 8 beds. Interiors are country style and each cottages’ name is derived from a local fishing fly like Duckworth's Dargle Delight, Wickhams Fancy, Blue Dunn and Cats Whisker.

15 guests' feedbackThe town was without water when we arrived. However, Trina provided enough bottled water to see us through the crisis. So it had been a lovely, peaceful relaxation.
Absolute Leisure Cottages' friendly and professional staff welcomed us safely in the Covid era. Everything was spotless and tidy. Comfortable accommodation that we will want to enjoy for more than just one night next time.

The only recommendation I can make is to replace the living room set with a more comfortable set.
My husband was spoiled for his 50th birthday by the owner and management. Thank you very much. The only thing that struck me is that the roads are in poor condition. Looks like no maintenance is done.
It made my Num-Num Trail Challenge worth it. A big thank you to Trina and Sylvia for their hospitality. Next time we'll book the whole house and bring friends along.

As a history buff, the beautiful antiques and antique furniture that decorate the rooms in this Victorian home was a special treat. Furthermore, it has everything required to fill a quick business trip with the "comforts of home".
R36 in very bad state, should rather note on website to use R38. Advertisement was misleading: cottages very close together, you can actually hear neighbour on his phone. Had trouble finding the entrance, a lot of people at gate with a dozen empty beer quarts on table. That was upsetting and disconcerting. The staff however was very friendly and welcoming - that is Samson and cleaning ladies. Cottage clean and tidy. Not as private as we would have liked but overall nice stay. Town falling apart and roads almost non-existent.
Our stay experience was comfortable and it felt like we were at home.

Was at a wedding, only slept there and left early again. Breakfast might be a good idea because we had to drive back to Benoni and thus had to stop on the way to eat breakfast.
