The cottage consists of 2 en-suite bedrooms with king-size beds that can be converted into twin beds on request, a bath in one and shower in the other. Bath and swimming towels are provided. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning, fans and mosquito nets for summer, wall heaters and mohair throws for winter.
The cottage is fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen which includes all cooking requirements, a large oven, gas 5 burner stove, microwave, large fridge and a choice of teas, coffees, and rusks. There is a washing machine and a cleaning and laundry service can be provided upon request for an additional charge. The open-plan living room has a cozy wood-burning fireplace and woolen blankets are supplied for chilly winter nights. The unit is solar-powered during day and during load shedding. It has strong Wi-Fi, but no TV.
The verandah provides for al-fresco eating overlooking the fields. A large and small portable braai are supplied with a “braai basket" with braai equipment. There is a swimming pool and a shaded area with chairs.
There is an automatic gate between the street and the property and off-street parking is available.

77 guests' feedbackGreat accommodation. Walking distance to town. Friendly and helpful host. Had almost everything we needed. Few slight negatives. The shower in the main bedroom is not nice. The taps are right up against the curtain and the soap dish is actually outside the shower. This shouldn't be a big job to fix and will just make the accommodation more perfect. The pictures show a washing machine. We planned our trip around having access to this. There is actually however no washing machine, but a dishwasher instead. Was nice to have the dishwasher though. The fireplace doesn't really heat the room. Would have been nice if there were more wood.

The cottage is very well furnished with everything one needs. The cottage has a lovely veranda with braai facilities. Quiet environment and very safe. The accommodation is very centrally located and is walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Host was pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The house was clean and well-equipped. There is an inverter and solar panels in the event of load shedding, and the rooms are very comfortable. The WiFi was much appreciated, especially as one guest had business to attend to. I would readily recommend this accommodation.

I returned to Acacia Cottage because it was previously a memorable stay. This time the standards remain high, and we loved the simplicity, light and spaciousness of the cottage. Di's friendliness and helpfulness are an added bonus.
Di received us very friendly and professionally. The house was crisp and clean and everything was there. She even provided a map of the town with the places to eat and places to visit pointed out. Two of the beds did not have a warm blanket, but there were hot water bottles. Delicious hot water, fireplace with firewood and braai wood available. I would gladly recommend it. Very centrally located.

The house is all that one needs. It is very private, quiet and peaceful. The pool is great in the heat. We had a great time and will definitely do it again.

Cottage is very well furnished and equipped - we appreciated that there was a bath in the 2nd bathroom. Although we only slept over, we could spend up to two full days in Prince Albert. There is a sense of security and our vehicle's parking in front of our door was a plus.
I would recommend Acacia house anytime and use again.

The cottage is well-located and well-appointed with everything you need. It's down a panhandle so is completely private, with a view looking out onto paddocks and good bird life in the garden. We loved all the little touches like the fresh milk from Gay's Dairy and delicious rusks to enjoy with our morning tea. We also enjoyed the cosy fireplace and the lekker stoep where we could catch a bit of winter sun. Being there felt like a home from home.

Is a very cute place. For the teenagers, a TV was missing, but soon enough they occupied themselves with the puzzles and books that were provided. We had a great time staying there! Would definitely recommend it.

The stove does not have a button that switches off when the oven has reached heat. The beds were uncomfortable for us. The washing machine rubber was black inside the door. Old furniture to sit on. For almost the same money, we could have stayed in the village in better, newer quality. Would say they had asked for cheaper.

Our accommodation at Acacia Cottage was excellent! We received a very friendly welcome and the place was very spacious and clean! Acacia Cottage is well equipped with enough space for two couples with two separate bedrooms and each their own bathroom. The lounge is nice and spacious and there is a big bookcase with many books to read. Just a pity our time was so limited!

This is a jewel full of surprises, from the fully equipped kitchen to many magazines and books, and even firewood. It has everything you need for a great holiday.
Acacia Cottage is the ideal place to "get away". Set in a small farm environment yet easy walking distance to shops and restaurants one can really relax. Buy a bag of carrots to feed to the horses and watch the chickens scratch in the grass while you sip a sundowner on the stoep. The place is spotless and there are dozens of books, magazines, puzzles and games to keep one occupied. A super friendly and helpful but not intrusive hostess completes the picture.
Acacia Cottage is well located for exploring Prince Albert. The cottage is very neat and clean with completely separate sleeping, bathing and toilet facilities for two married couples. Di Steyn received us kindly and immediately made us feel at home. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs, which mainly focused on grilling meat on the grill drum outside. There is a nice seat on the stoep to read your newspaper. We had a great time.

This is a special place to just pack up and enjoy the countryside! It is located in Prince Albert, but also "on the side of town". It offers more than value for money: it offers an opportunity for relaxation, for becoming part of nature, stargazing at night and simply resting! The animals also make it a pleasure. The hostess really went out of her way to make our stay more pleasant for us. The house itself is very comfortably furnished with everything needed. We will definitely come back here again! This is a gem!

Acacia cottage gives one the feeling of being on a farm out in the Karoo. The quiet and peaceful environment allows for complete relaxation and well-being. Customer service is excellent and the quaint cottage has a homely and ambient atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay.
Quiet with a nice view. Only one drawback: the TV has already become such a part of our life today, and there is no TV or radio.
Acacia Cottage is located in the town, yet it feels like you are on a farm with the big field. The whole house is well equipped for four people and you feel right at home. Would like to go and rest there for a week.
