Acacia is situated close to the Rosepark Hospital, and has 2 large shopping centres within 1 to 2 km of our lodge. We will also be happy to assist with travel arrangements to and from the airport and other local destinations in and around Bloemfontein.

The lady who received us was so helpful and friendly, and she made the most delicious breakfast! The fried mushrooms were top notch. The room and bathroom were super clean. I would have just put a small fridge in the room as well and also fresh bottled water. One has to draw water for the kettle in the bath for coffee. So in the heat there was no fridge to keep drinks and snacks cold. Also friendly, safe, clean and a beautiful garden and pool. Bed linen spotless. We were spoiled with 2 small glasses and a strong sherry. Thank you.

It had been a very pleasant surprise. Surroundings made me doubt, but from the moment we drove in everything was excellent.
It was a lovely 2 days. Just here and there you have to pay attention to small things. E.g. shelves in shower that nothing can be put on, they fall off and then maybe just make sure that Doom is put in rooms for spiders. The breakfast was delicious, there was just no cold meats and variety of yogurt huts etc. placed on the serving table. Other than that, my stay was fantastic as always.

Nice stay. Would have been nicer if there was a wider variety for breakfast. Full DStv would also be better (good sport missed from channels that weren't available - understand it's "guesthouse package", but it's insufficient). A microwave in the rooms would also be better.
When we checked in at 14h00, 25/3, we found a group of young people at the pool. They occupied the entire covered seating area, smoked and consumed alcohol. We wanted to grill our meat there, but the young lump occupied everything. We're going to eat in town. When we return, the youngsters are more and so is the noise. That's how we found out that it is actually the manager and his group of friends who are taking over the place. The noise only got worse and by 00h30 I had to ask that they please consider the paying guests. (This after when we signed in, the company itself had to sign that we may not make any noise after 9 o'clock!). The next morning we wanted to go for coffee by the pool, but the covered area and furniture were littered with empty drink bottles, cigarette butts, clothes etc. We were deprived of enjoying our time at Acacia Lodge due to a young fellow (manager of the Lodge) and his friends who, as one of the other staff found out, were not paying guests of the lodge. If it wasn't for this, our stay could have been top notch.

Was kindly received by Percey, he did not hesitate once to respond to a query. The rooms are extremely comfortable, we only stayed the one night back to Gauteng, and will definitely stay here again on the route. The ladies who made the breakfast were just as friendly, and an asset here.

We slept over in Bloemfontein on 1 Jan 2022. Acacia Lodge was the ideal place to sleep. It was a long drive to Bloemfontein and the Lodge was a welcome resting place. The pool was refreshing, and there were braai facilities that we could use. We did decide to go out to eat instead. The rooms are nice and tidy and the air conditioner definitely helped.
Acacia was also a good choice for us as my mother and I could also enjoy our dinner on the premises. Breakfast included. People very friendly and helpful.

The information as advertised is as we found it, which includes a very friendly reception, parking behind security gates, plenty of space inside, swimming pool, a beautiful living area with an excellent mattress to ensure a comfortable night's rest, a garden to enjoy and even kitchen facilities should we need them. The breakfast on the morning of our departure was also top notch. We appreciated the quiet and peacefulness, because one does not fancy a lot of noise of any kind after a day on the road. Acacia Lodge can be confidently recommended to travelers who crave tranquility and luxury before traveling further afield.

My reception and communication was incredibly cordial. Beautiful gardens with roses and you just feel at home. My unit only had a bathtub which is quite deep, and would definitely not be suitable for older people. I had an incredibly delicious breakfast, made by Martha. Complimentary sherry and also DStv. People don't need anything more.
There is lots of potential, but the floors were not clean, the breakfast was dull. I'm sorry but I expected more for a place with a 4-star rating.

After a long drive we are greeted with Santjie's big smile. The room is luxurious, beautiful, clean, provides enough privacy and provides for everything the guest would need. Breakfast deserves full marks! Big bonus is that you are walking distance from Rosepark Hospital. Acacia Lodge is definitely recommended, especially for patients or hospital visitors. I booked the self-catering apartment under the impression that it was on the same site as the lodge. It's not, and at first I was worried about the security. It is very convenient except that the bathroom has no place to hang towels or clothes. Very friendly service and helpful staff.
It was very disappointing. What is indicated on the website does not correspond to what is actually delivered to the customer. The pictures are very misleading. The accommodation is actually quite old and not modern at all. Address also does not match what is indicated on website. It's down the road in an abandoned house. Parking also not clear or safe. It feels like you are going to park with the neighbors. Deposit paid was also not confirmed with owner, had to provide proof very quickly on arrival.

We experienced Acacia as a very comfortable overnight guest house. The surroundings are peaceful, you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the beautiful gardens with the most beautiful Iceberg roses it feels like a homecoming. The right place to charge one's batteries.
The rooms are very clean and tidy and the breakfast was delicious! The location of the lodge so close to the hospital is ideal.
The facilities are of a very high standard. The stocked bar fridge was appreciated and units are modern, clean and spacious. Secure parking. Only observation there is a need for towel rails in the bathroom, as presently wet towels have to be hung over the shower partition.
A pleasant change to find efficient staff, a well cared for facility, a spacious room and bathroom. The pool was a pleasant way to relax. Close to the hospital, walking distance so you can avoid parking charges, etc. All around pleasant stay.
When I arrived, the guesthouse had me booked for the wrong night, but fortunately, they had a room open in another affiliated guesthouse and they accommodated me there. Otherwise it was a very good experience.
