Very good value for money. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The breakfast was tasty, I did not expect such a special meal for the price I paid. The owner was nice and professional.

Acorn Cottage is perfect for a break from the city. It is conveniently located close to all the attractions in Grahamstown. Netta and Rob were very hospitable and the breakfast was fantastic! We felt very at home and would definitely stay there again.

I stayed 3 nights at Acorn Cottage BnB, rooms were very nice with a huge pool just outside our room which was perfect for the heat. Breakfast served was great and Robs hospitality topped it off.

Rob and Neta are very experienced in catering and the hotel/accommodation industry. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-decorated. They provide a relaxed, family atmosphere, are incredibly helpful, and cook a delicious breakfast. Rob braaied for us and made everything look effortless! Our daughter had some friends for her birthday and what an amazing time these girls had! A memory for life!

We arrived quite late & eventually was able to park our car inside the premises. The room itself was clean/tidy however, the pool was filthy/green and the breakfast below par. The whole outlook of the establishment was untidy.
Very frustrated as there was no one at the b&b on arrival to let me in. I had to find alternate facility to prepare for a function. Parking was a problem aswell.

Very convenient and had a great stay.
The hosts are pleasant company, a large delicious breakfast was served, comfortable beds with electric blankets were provided and in the lounge there is interesting decor. The place also provides quiet surroundings.
It's a neat self-catering cottage with everything you need. There is WiFi, parking, TV, table, free tea and coffee, towels and soap! Hostess very friendly and happy to help. Nice electric blankets for the winter evenings and hot water for showering. Everything in the town itself is within walking distance, but it takes a good 20 min walk to get to Rhodes, for that a car is useful.

Received a very friendly welcome. Everything was explained clearly. Room and bathroom facilities were very clean. Place is very safe.
Despite the gentle and kindness of the owner the place would need substantial renewal.
The shower needs a thorough scrub. Please don't place a bathroom mat by the toilet ... unhygienic. The bedroom was clean but the bedcovers, curtains and light shade are very old fashioned. A duvet is preferable. The bedroom is large but does not have a chair. The only place to sit is on a bed. Block out lining necessary on the roman blind at the door and the outside light kept me awake. The property requires major maintenance.
Although clean and neat the cottage is a converted garage lacking style and finesse and over priced for the service rendered.
No TV, no complementary coffee in the room. The room was not welcoming at all. The pillows did not have pillow cases. Awful to say the least. The gate is manually locked. It was raining and I had to get out of my car and unlock the gate padlock. If I had know they didn't have TV I wouldn't have booked it considering I was travelling alone and I don't know anyone in the area. It was not good value for money. I would not recommend this place at all.
