I'm over the moon with the service received here, I even loved how you kept the lights on during load shedding.
No, upon arrival we waited 10 minutes for someone to open the gate, after calling and ringing the bell. When we got into our room there was water damage and dirty marks on the wall. The pillowcases still had makeup from the previous guests on them. Not a single pillow case was clean. When I decided to collect the demolition, I was startled at first by how dirty it was. There was no toilet paper, and no staff available, even though they are open until midnight. Had to get a roll from another couple. Coffee cups were dirty and little plastic spoons that look like they're going to melt in your coffee. There is a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, and because it is a sliding door, you cannot close it. There was something open on the roof that looked like a camera above the bed. If it wasn't that we had to check in so late due to we didn't flee - we went to sleep somewhere else.
Had a very unpleasant experience. Didn't sleep there at all.
There is no air conditioning in the room. Also no fans which makes it pretty awkward with load shedding. No fridge. We had to throw away all our takeaway box food because it was full of ants. There is also no microwave in the room. Not even teaspoons.
We really enjoyed our stay, everything was good and the service was excellent.
Slept with one set of linen for 4 days. Not happy.
Hair dryer needed in the room. More hot water and remote for gate needed.
The value for money was not there. Unfortunatley my colleague had a room right next to the generator, which was appeceiated because we had load shedding, but the noise was a problem.
On arrival just before 15:00 the car gate was broken and only after the fourth time I informed reception that the gate would not open, someone came out to open the gate. There was also uncertainty about our reservation and the 1 room for 3 people did not yet have a third set of towels. The hot water to the unit was also not turned on until later. The grounds and exterior of the buildings need attention. Rooms were tidy, but bedside lamps and blinds have seen better days and blinds need a duster. DStv signal is very unstable. There was also no coffee at all and tea bags were lying open in the van. When we left, the gate was still not fixed. It is clear that the lodge once had a very good standard, but in my opinion the owner lost interest even before Covid and let the place deteriorate.
The broken chair and lampshade make one think the place is deteriorating and not well managed.
The guest lodge itself is very nice but management is a nightmare. We made arrangements that we would arrive at 21:00 because we landed at 20:30. No shuttle service had been offered by the guesthouse so we used an Uber. When we arrived at the address there was a closed gate and we had to drive all around the block coming in from another access gate, not being informed prior to the booking and costing us an additional fee on our Uber. When arriving at the guest lodge, the host was not even available and we had to wait for 30 minutes to get booked in. We were then informed that the electricity is down but on a generator which is understandable, we are dealing with loadshedding all over SA, but then the electricity went off until the next morning after 07:00 it came back for 20 minutes and went off again. We also had no hot water at all during our stay which was so inconvenient especially during winter time so we are very disappointed in our booking with this establishment.

We were very happy with the room, cleanliness etc., but there are several issues we encountered: First, the GPS takes you to a gate from the security area, but you can't get in at all and have to go around the whole area drive and at the entrance gate of the security area they send you again to another entrance! Luckily we got there in daylight otherwise we would never have found it from Pretoria. We were at a function then and when we came back and wanted to drink a glass of wine in the room there were no glasses! Not even for water, and we couldn't go into the kitchen to get glasses. When we wanted to make coffee/tea there was not a single teaspoon to remove the tea bag from the cup or to stir.
Unprofessional receptionist. The remote for the gate didn't work. The neighbour played his drum set until midnight - could be heard very loudly in the room even with doors and windows closed. No air-con and the mounted fan could not reach the plugs and no extension cord to plug it into.
Got wrong rooms. Booked single bed rooms but got double room. Only got towels at 16:00. TV not working, had to be fixed first. Was a bit disappointed.
Net recipient.
The guest house is not worth the photos on your page, nor the money, poor is not the word, no reception. We stand at the gate for half an hour and longer, would not recommend to anyone, waste of my money.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The transport service was on time. The breakfast tasty and exquisite. Beautiful background music.
I was pleasantly surprised with the comfortable room and friendly service! I also got a discount. Their burgers are yummy.
The guesthouse is neat and well located. The breakfast and organizing it must improve. The water in the shower was very weak, but overall it was a good stay.
