Accommodation is offered in 4 self-catering chalets which can sleep a total of 22 guests. The self-catering chalets comprise 2 or 3 bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, quality linen, and en-suite bathrooms, as well as a kitchen and a big verandah with a built-in braai and fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with an oven, a 2-plate gas stove, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a fridge, cutlery, and crockery.
Affi Lande has a beautiful wedding venue and the uniqueness of the Belofteberg Bergkerk on top of a sandstone mountain is the main attraction. They also have a fairytale forest set up for ceremonies and catering. The venue caters for small intimate weddings with up to 80 guests.
The hiking trail on Affi lande offers a 5km, 10km and 21km hike. The breathtaking scenery and mountain ranges will have you in awe. Hike or drive to the spectacular water tunnels which will be a memorable experience or enjoy a picnic on the mountain in summer.
There is a historical site on the farm, known as the Rebel memorial site, a marble engraved stone where 2 rebels got shot in 1914. You can climb to the cave where they hid and experience history. Bird watching is a very popular activity on the farm and we have a list of over 150 different species. We are home to a Secretary bird couple that breed here.
Activities such as 4x4, canopy touring, fishing, a dinosaur route, and a visit to a fairy-tale castle are only a few of many. AfriSki Resort is 80 km away and is ideal for a day's visit where you can enjoy a day in the snow.

If there were 10 stars for location I would have chosen it. The farm is very beautiful, the hiking trails surprised us a lot. Service was also great, every day came to see if we needed anything. I will definitely visit here again.
Breathtaking surroundings, the Berg Church was definitely a highlight. Very clean and tidy accommodation with everything you could possibly need available. Uncle and Aunt immediately made us feel at home and we would visit Affilande again anytime.

The guest house is rustic, with charming decor that captures farm life. We enjoyed the cozy porch, where a nice fire kept us warm. It was really a pleasure to relax and enjoy the nature around us. The children had fun playing in the garden, and they often went to see the chickens and geese. The owners received us kindly and we immediately felt at home. They were very helpful and made sure we didn't lack anything. The hospitality was truly outstanding.
Great time and fun to explore the jewel of the Eastern Free State from such a hospitable and beautiful place. Lovely walking routes, and a visit to the Forest Church is a must! Get still within and let your soul heal. Adri's artistry shows in the stylish decor and original way the units are furnished. And the bliss of only farm sounds and nature, despite the road being conveniently close (we were there during weekdays and out of season). And conveniently close to surrounding attractions! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Guest Farm! It's absolutely perfect and I would not change a thing! You arrive a stranger and leave as family. The owners, Leon and Adri, are such amazing people. The gardens are beautiful and the accommodation top notch! It's super clean and the units have absolutely everything a person could possibly need. We stayed in Margrietjie and loved the cosy indoor fireplace and braai lounge. The sherry was an unexpected but welcomed treat. There was tea, coffee, sugar and milk available to us on arrival. They have plenty candles and lamps as well as a 2-plate gas stove available for load shedding. Everything from the kitchen cloths to fridges and oven were absolutely spotless! The bedrooms have heaters and electric blankets. The beds and bedding are top quality and incredibly comfortable. The flower posies and chocolates on arrival were such a lovely touch. The bath is the perfect size, the shower has lovely water pressure. The towels provided were also top quality. The plugs are all in the right places, a hair dryer provided, the chalet decorated beautifully and everything just works so well. We went on a hike around the farm which was stunning and the food at the restaurant on site was amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous, Leon junior and staff were friendly and the service great. You have to try the pap and kaiings! To say that they were amazing is an understatement! The prices are really affordable too! We fell in love with Affi Lande, Fouriesburg and all the people we met along the way. It is impossible to get better than this at this price and let's not forget the stunning scenery and views! We will most certainly be back very soon. Thank you Leon, Adri, Leon and all the people we met along the way. Fouriesburg will be in our hearts forever!
Very friendly people, the place is very neat, we could braai outside and there was a stove in our place, wonderfully warm for the cold. Everything was there that we needed.
The accommodation is located in a beautiful setting and surrounded by a beautiful garden and mountains in the distance. A beautiful place to find your soul. Our reception was very hospitable and the unexpected soup surprise was just the right medicine for the cold wet weather.
It was a lovely restful weekend. With comfortable accommodation, comfy beds and luxurious linen. The Beer Garden was a hit with delicious food thank you so much Adri. Burgers and milkshakes are winners.
Although the weather was very, very bad and it rained all the time, we stayed so cozy and warm in house Magrietjie. There was the nicest fireplace and porch and the most delicious warmest duvet. We couldn't get up, everything was so nice and warm. the rain caused us to be forced to 'quiet' and calm down, we could read, relax, light the fireplace, listen to the rain on the tin roof, drink Milo and just relax. everything was perfect and I wish everyone could discover Adri's gem of a place. Very definitely worth it, and a weekend to remember. With the most beautiful garden too of course.
Very friendly owners. They immediately made us feel at home and the cottage with the sea and beach theme met all our requirements and was comfortably furnished. The small fireplace/anthracite stove warmed the room wonderfully and was cleaned and packed every day, just ready to light.
The place was very nice and clean. It rained in a few places. The units are assembled (I thought they were detached). We could hear what the neighbors were doing.

We stayed in the Strandloper chalet, and it really felt as if we were in a cottage on the West Coast. Out two young daughters thoroughly enjoyed playing in the “beach sand” and as they enjoyed this so much, we did not do much exploring in the area. The chalet was equipped with all that we needed for our stay and the bedrooms are spacious (just watch your head in the upstairs bedrooms if you are tall) and the beds were super comfortable. We will certainly be returning in the future for another beach holiday in the Free State.

Adri and Leon are fantastic people and made us feel very welcome. The farm has an incredible view of the beautiful Eastern Free State landscape. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas, including a visit to Clarens and Meiringskloof. The farmhouses are very beautiful and well equipped. Would recommend Affi Lande to everyone!
We enjoyed our stay at Affi Lande immensely. The house we stayed in is beautiful and Adri's incredible garden is a loop court to walk in and for the children to play in. Everyone was friendly and made an effort to make our visit special. We will definitely come again!

Attention to small detail with beautiful decor
Everything was great. The rooms (cottages) are nicely clean and tidy and very nicely decorated. Adri's warm, friendliest personality made it all worthwhile.
The hostess has the thoughtfulness to warn us in advance of a bad road and recommend another route. We were overwhelmed with kindness and good service. The cottages are extremely tasteful.

Strandloper chalet's 2nd floor may not be quite suitable for adults, roof very low. Would work well for kids though.

There is not much more to do other than walking on Affi Lande itself, but it is very beautiful.

Beautiful place and can take the most beautiful photos. Adri and Leon are very hospitable and happy to help about nice places to visit that we would never have known about on our own. Kitchen a bit small for cooking, but braai is convenient. The road is a bit noisy. Still lovely place to walk and explore. Would definitely recommend.

Affi Lande is very beautiful and tidy. Only 2 things that happened to us, which Affi Lande management could not control. First, there was a rattlesnake outside our door in the tree. At least they quickly contacted a snake catcher to remove the snake. Second, there was water leaking through one of the lights on one of the beds. To come up for Affi Lande, it rained abnormally that evening.

The owners are friendly hosts and more than willing to give advice and suggestions on activities in the surrounding area. We stayed for three nights. Visited Katse Dam in Lesotho - need to depart by 09:00 to make it back before nightfall. 6.5 hour drive there and back with half an hour walking dam wall. Camelroc located about 14 km away.

We stayed in the Studio and it was beautifully clean and tasteful. We were received very warmly and told about everything we can do on the farm and in the area. A late afternoon picnic was one of the highlights of our weekend.
We had such a great time at Affi Lande. The autumn nature was so beautiful. A few special activities are available on the farm and we really enjoyed it. The area and the the towns close by provide more than enough activities if you need to stay busy. The long weekend wasn't long enough. Will definitely visit the farm again.
Leon and Adri welcomed us and made us feel at home on their beautiful farm. We went on walks, took pictures, and just had a great time on the comfortable patio in the company of Ceasar the dog, he immediately found a special place in our hearts. The well-groomed garden was also beautiful. Can't wait to go again.

The Eastern Free State is so beautiful and there is lots to see and do. Leon and Adri's farm has a great locatio - nature, rest, hiking, history. You can have a picnic in the mountain with a basket full of delectable treats that they prepare for you. Excellent accommodation and different options available. They also gave us a lot of information about the attractions and activities in the area. The farm is close to the picturesque and interesting Fouriesburg.

We were looking for a place where we could relax and take a breather away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where we could hang out as friends and sleep comfortably with room for everyone. We could find everything here. Full marks!
The beautiful guest farm Affi Lande lies so neatly between the clean and clear Rooiberge, Witteberge and Lesotho's Maluti mountains. We relaxed there as a big family for my brother's birthday and as soon as we arrived it felt like life's stress was slipping off our shoulders! Adri and Leon were great hosts and made us feel very comfortable! We are already planning as a family to return to it again in the summer!

My husband and I recently went to Fouriesburg/Clarens for a short weekend break and decided to stay at Magrietjie on Affi Lande. Adri, Leon and dogs Ceasar and Miley are wonderful hosts and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make our stay enjoyable. The facilities are fantastic, neat and clean and the units contain everything you need and more. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful, especially the route between Fouriesburg and Clarens. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much Adri and Leon, you are wonderful people! Magrietjie is in our hearts!
One problem is that it is self catering but there is no stove. The only way to cook or cook food is the microwave oven. A bread knife and bread board were missing.
Was wonderful. Pets was a bit of a nuisance, but nothing serious.
Our kids enjoyed the farm a lot. The wonderful views made it even more special! The unit was tastefully appointed and we will miss it a lot.

We were warmly welcomed by Adri. She went through so much effort to send us info about the farm, town and area and close by villages beforehand. We appreciated it a lot. The huts were clean and neat, but it would've been nice if we could park closer by. We were a bit scared of snakes when we went walking, but the visit and the bush church was definitely worth it. Adri welcomed us with open arms and we immediately felt at home. We were also assisted in arranging a tour to Destiny Castle which was a wonderful experience. People were very nice and made us feel at home, unique place. Close to tarred road which is nice if you're traveling on a gravel road. Traffic quite terrible. Noise will probably disturb people looking for a quiet place.
Affi Lande is a place where we could rest very well and enjoy nature. A nice getaway from the normal daily hustle and bustle of the city. Had a really nice stay, made a fire and just had a good time.
Wonderful stay on a farm in a peaceful environment with a very pleasant host!
We enjoyed the stay at the Glamping spot, but it wouldn't work in rainy weather, kitchen and veranda not covered. No fridge, the donkey water boiler is difficult to use and it can be cleaned every day and be packed by the owner or help. R300 per person per day (40% discount advertised) really is too expensive for the facilities available at the camping spot.

The downstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and the upstairs bathroom is separate with a shower. Egyptian cotton linen and luxurious towels are used throughout. Accommodation is offered in 4 self-catering chalets which can sleep a total of 22 guests. The self-catering chalets comprise 2 or 3 bedrooms, each with queen-size beds, quality linen, and en-suite bathrooms, as well as a kitchen and a big verandah with a built-in braai and fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with an oven, a 2-plate gas stove, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a fridge, cutlery, and crockery.
Affi Lande has a beautiful wedding venue and the uniqueness of the Belofteberg Bergkerk on top of a sandstone mountain is the main attraction. They also have a fairytale forest set up for ceremonies and catering. The venue caters for small intimate weddings with up to 80 guests.
The hiking trail on Affi lande offers a 5km, 10km and 21km hike. The breathtaking scenery and mountain ranges will have you in awe. Hike or drive to the spectacular water tunnels which will be a memorable experience or enjoy a picnic on the mountain in summer.
There is a historical site on the farm, known as the Rebel memorial site, a marble engraved stone where 2 rebels got shot in 1914. You can climb to the cave where they hid and experience history. Bird watching is a very popular activity on the farm and we have a list of over 150 different species. We are home to a Secretary bird couple that breed here.
Activities such as 4x4, canopy touring, fishing, a dinosaur route, and a visit to a fairy-tale castle are only a few of many. AfriSki Resort is 80 km away and is ideal for a day's visit where you can enjoy a day in the snow.
