Affi Plaas Gastehuis is a real gem on the West Coast. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this beautiful spot offers a peaceful break from the hectic city life. From the moment we arrived, the hostess welcomed us with open arms. Her warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The stay itself was excellent. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with attention to detail that one rarely comes across. It is clear that a lot of care and love is put into keeping the guest house in such excellent condition. Affi Farm Guest House is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and invigorating break. We can't wait to return here again and can confidently recommend it!
Our stay was very nice. The host is very good.
Jan and Nolene, the host and hostess made us feel very much at home from the moment our booking was confirmed. It wasn't even necessary to ask them to prepare meals for us, but every time we got there they were ready with the most delicious food you can imagine. The most delicious lasagna, watercress stew, home-baked buns, filled pancakes, home-made jam, curry beet etc. Eat as much as you want and all for a fixed, very reasonable "pocket size" price. Not licensed, so take your own alcoholic beverages, but there is a liquor store literally across the street if you forgot something. Rooms are well equipped with electric warm blanket for the winter cold. Thank you Jan and Nolene, we had a great time with you.
We would definitely recommend Affi Plaas. We were welcomed very kindly - small town hospitality at its best. The rooms were clean and tidy and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and the bedding fluffy. The children had fun frolicking in the garden while we hung out around a fire. Nothing was too much trouble.
Bitterly cold in the area. Really enjoyed the electric blanket.

Jan went out of his way to make our stay memorable and comfortable, to the extent of providing a home-cooked boere kos dinner at an affordable price, which was well worth it. Overall, it was a most enjoyable stay, so we will definitely return in the not too distant future.
We were warmly and kindly received and felt very much at home during the weekend. We will definitely be back for a follow-up visit with wonderful heart people.

Convivial host who made me feel very welcome and comfortable at the establishment. After a very hot day on motorcycle, refreshing dip in the pool was welcome relief and cooling off in the garden decorated with indigenous plants and some interesting pets (springboks and tortoises). Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Better than some of the hotels that I have stayed in on the West Coast.
Received very friendly service. The room was very neat and clean. Was nice to spend the night here.

Pleasant getaway experience.
We booked the Houthuis which is rustic and tastefully decorated but small. We booked for a group of 4 adults, but this unit is more suitable for a family with 2 children not 2 couples. Lovely friendly hosts though that go out of their way for the guests and make you feel very at home.
Geyser was out of order. Bedside lamps didn't want to work either. Had to use extra cable. Room door not closing.
Will go back.
A bubbly, passionate hostess and masterchef host who carries their guests on their hands in an extremely creative environment and discoveries by Redelinghuys that will always stay with us with a smile and a heart full of joy.
I was warmly received and made to feel at home. The hosts have a wealth of knowledge about the area and give excellent advice when it comes to route suggestions. Hopefully I can pay a return visit someday.
Nolene and Jan are very hospitable, and we and the children really enjoyed it.
I have stayed in many guesthouses and hotels but this gem of a guesthouse was simply amazing. Jan and Nolene are absolutely fantastic people and made me feel so at home, they went out of their way to make it delicious for me and did so much extra for me that I didn't expect. The place is very neat and I simply love the beautiful furniture. I came as a guest but I left as a friend. I can recommend this place to anyone and believe me Nolene and Jan your place deserves 4 stars!! Thank you so much for the amazing service! I ate deliciously!
The hostess was very friendly and immediately made you feel at home. The hosts were very accommodating and prepared a special vegetarian meal on request (this was very kind as they did not have vegetarian meals on their menu but went the extra mile to prepare it especially for us). Rooms were well kept, clean and had all the necessities. Not having a television and WiFi was not a problem as the real farm experience was absolutely surreal.
Dit was 'n wonderlike ervaring. Baie netjies en rustig en die gasvrou en heer was amazing. Hulle het jou laat voel asof jy by die huis is, maar tog was jy weg. Jou huis weg van jou huis. Kan regtig Affi Plaas aanbeveel. Dankie vir 'n heerlike wegbreek.
Affi Plaas is one of those places to stay where the owners play just as crucial a role as the amenities. One lives well, chats well and eats well here. Sandveld hospitality at its best.
