37 guests' feedbackStaff is very friendly, food is top shelf. Road is a bit bad to drive there, especially if it rained, mud. Must have proper car for the roads. View is incredibly beautiful. Game drive's roads are also unsafe to drive on your own.
We absolutely love our stay. Monwa went above and beyond, even though we were almost two hours after check-in time, he made sure we had a lovely hot meal and a drink, and settled us right in. The next day, he got up early to do the cave drawing tour with us before our onward journey. Fantastic man! 5 stars for Monwa.
Tucked away between fynbos, the most beautiful scenery, warm hospitality. Where you can only breathe. Neat accommodation. Jewel in the Little Karoo.
My wife and I's weekend getaway.
Very nice stay. It was a very beautiful farm!
Very peaceful and relaxing.
If you want to get away from everything and everyone, this is the perfect place. Far away from the noise of the city. Most beautiful stars in the evening to look at. Very neat. Will go again.
Very neat and well-equipped chalet, with a lovely patio and beautiful view. Beautiful scenery and surroundings. The private campsite is fantastic, with "attention to detail". The lodge facility with the Wifi and relaxation area by the pool is top notch! Monwabisi was very friendly and helpful. A great addition to African Game Lodge.
Very nice and peaceful atmosphere in nature with the necessary facilities to make the visit special and comfortable.
One experiences the tranquility of the Karoo with the beautiful starry sky at night. Units are spaced far apart and are well equipped making them ideal for self catering. Braai is at hand and fridge has enough space. Recreation: pool table, darts and a lovely swimming pool. Game drive was also handled with interesting narrations by competent guide. Delicious breakfast and dinner were also available.

Had a great time. Will recommend to friends.
See stars.
Our visit was nice and quiet.
The journey to the lodge is uncomplicated. The staff is very friendly and professional. The premises are well maintained, clean and safe. the game drive is spectacular, it’s not big 5 but still wonderful to see wild animals in nature.
This is a very nice place to rest and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the fresh air. Only slept for probably 12 hours the first night. I stayed in one of the luxury tents a bit away from the main lodge, so it was even more secluded and peaceful. The tent has all the basic necessities you could need and the braai area is nicely furnished. Would have liked to have bought a shirt with the logo on it as a souvenir, but when I went to reception at 10 in the morning there was no one to complete the transaction.
Despite the fact that we were the only guests we were made very welcome. The cottage was clean and comfortable with wood supplied for our evening indoor fire. This is winter in the Karoo and we also enjoyed a roaring fire with our meal in the cosy lodge restaurant on our second night. The food was excellent both for the meat eater and the vegetarian. Our game drive offered amazing views but the game kept its distance.
The following could be improved: The guest in the unit was up one night and due to the fact that there is no mobile phone reception, we had to drive to the units where the staff live and try to find someone who can help us. I would suggest that each unit be equipped with equipment such as a two-way radio, to be able to contact reception after hours. The hot water is provided by a gas geyser - we had to shower in cold water both mornings (winter time) as the water does not reach sufficient temperature or stay hot enough for long. The bathroom is beautifully equipped, it's just a shame that the hot water comes and goes. One night we wanted to contact our relatives, but when we got to the restaurant, 20:00 in the evening ─ the only place with WiFi ─ it was dark and locked. That area must be available until at least 22:00 in the evening.
Personal are very friendly, help where they can. The bedding was clean and the unit we stayed in was well equipped with the necessary kitchen equipment. All that bothered me a bit was that the unit we lived in was in serious need of refurbishment and repairs (loose and broken tiles, kitchen equipment a bit old etc). I can't comment on the other units, but guess it's the same with them too. At the moment I don't feel it's worth 3 stars, but I'm not negative about the place; otherwise we slept well.
We had a lovely time. It was nice to see the animals so close. The perfect place if you want to get away from the city's hustle and bustle. The people are very friendly and helpful.
Incredible not to be able to be bothered with a cell phone. We relaxed 100%, had a nice stop and drive around. The roads were very good as well. We were crazy about the Karoo and these views and sunset didn't disappoint. We will definitely go again but then for at least two nights.
We can recommend the resort and want to single out Monwabisi for his knowledge and service.
It was incredibly nice there - the owners go out of their way to make it worthwhile for you and it's incredibly beautiful there!
Lovely stay, with silence and good service. Will visit again anytime!
African Game Lodge offers excellent value for money. Is not too far from the city and easily accessible by any vehicle. Saw a lot of wildlife (moose and kudus). New management Morne and Xanet are very hospitable and plan many things for the future. Will definitely go there again!
We had a wonderful stay at African Game lodge. However, there are two things to mention: if you like your 'creature comforts', remember not to leave your mobile phones etc. can't recharge, and the hot water is low. With a family of three we got by with a half bath but when you look past that everything is beautiful and we would recommend it to friends.
We really appreciated the peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the city. Saw little wildlife but the accommodation was very good.
Very comfortable accommodation. The cheetah feed was a highlight. Delicious food and friendly staff!
It was nice to be able to drive around with our own car for wildlife viewing. More game on the farm would have been nice, but being able to see how the cheetahs are fed and the tranquility of the surroundings made up for it.
See the stars below.
Peaceful and beautiful! We had a great time, but saw little wildlife.
We will definitely come again. The bush camp was just what we wanted. The staff and owners are friendly and accommodating. Thank you!
Value for money from the Staff, Management especially, Wildlife viewing, Housing to the tame Mongoose that comes to visit every morning and evening. We saw 50% of the Farm, were there with a car, and it was fantastic I can only imagine how much more we could see if we had a Bakkie but next time we will definitely go with a Bakkie so that we can explore the whole farm. (Game Drives are also offered) Do yourself a favor gather your friends and relax at AFRICAN GAME LODGE!
Nature in all its glory! Absolute peace and quiet - we had a fantastic time!
Many thanks to Len and Mandy for an unforgettable time at your beautiful place. We can definitely recommend African Game Lodge if someone wants to get away to fresh air and silence.
It was great, in nature, friendly people, nice place, and lots of tame animals. Will definitely go again.
The clean Karoo air, the silence and the wild animals made it truly a wonderful experience.
