Please take note that the second bedroom has a separate entrance from the main house leading from the verandah, which makes it suitable for teenagers travelling with parents or 2 couples. This house is not suitable for small children.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and has a microwave, stove, oven, kettle, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. The open-plan lounge area offers a dining table, comfortable seating, and a TV with a limited selection of DStv channels. Good speed wifi available.
Outside is a large verandah overlooking the garden. The house has its own braai area in the private garden.
The old water reservoir on the property has been converted into a communal swimming pool, which is for the private use of guests staying in the 5 houses on the property. Please note that the swimming pool is not fenced in and does not have a safety net.

Ahoy 3 is situated at the entrance to the Paternoster Village, so not near the beach, on a large property with other houses on, but they are all far enough apart to ensure privacy. There is a large, secure parking area behind a motorised gate. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, and the house and bathrooms in general are nice and clean. The kitchen is equipped with the basic crockery and cutlery, and there is a nice big fridge. The second room is accessed from the verandah. It does not lead into the kitchen or lounge area, but is completely separate. You will enjoy your stay at Ahoy 3.
Lovely place - clean, central, great bed. Being able to take our dog with is a win.
Rooms separated, so the family was separated. Globe not fitting in beside lamp, most doors had no handles, not enough toilet paper for a family of 4.
Lovely property - needs some maintenance and care. Alarms in town went off the WHOLE night on Saturday and Sunday!

The house is nicely furnished to be cozy, perfect for a few days away from home. Nice and private with a large lawn.
We stayed for one night and enjoyed the stay there. Very calm, very secure and clean!
It was also unfortunate that the hospitality was not great. Our experience with the hostess has put me off Paternoster as a whole. I think hosts/hostesses should be aware of the huge impact they have on a guest's perspective of a town/city.

I stayed at Ahoy Farmhouse 3 during the Easter weekend with my 2 children. It was within walking distance to everything. I never at any stage felt unsafe even though I was there as a female alone with my children. Would highly recommend this place for your next getaway.
We had a lot of fun with our friends. There is a TV, a large fridge with a large freezer section, a nice and nice swimming pool, you can walk to the sea, etc.
We loved the fact that there were fans, "braai bak" for meat, salt and pepper, cooking oil, sunlight liquid. the way you have set up your facility makes a short getway very convenient.
10/10 - ticked all our boxes and staff very professional, accommodating and friendly. We loved it so much we extended our stay.

It is a very nice place to break away, everything was neat. We did not lack anything because the necessary things were available. We would recommend any 1. We plan to go back again in the summer to use the pool as well.
The house is full of character, neat and well equipped and within walking distance of restaurants.
Hostess was friendly and provided us with information about restaurants and places.
The entrance was a bit difficult to find but Camile was very helpful getting us to where we needed to be. Our check-in felt a bit rushed. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and private. It had everything you needed except we could not find a mop and there were a few uncleaned spills on the kitchen floor when we arrived. Sat at the pool for a bit and braaied in the evening. It was only for one night but we could cheerfully have stayed a week. Close to shops, restaurants and the beach.
The first night I had hot water, second night there was not hot water. I was told that the geyser burst, and that I would be refunded for 1 day. No refund was made. I was given an option to move opposite the road to another place, but I did not accept. The inconvenience to pack up everything and move was not cool. Secondly also the fact that one can not get day visitors; not ayoba at all! The "house rules" did not mention anything about day visitors. I came all the way from Port Elizabeth, to visit my family in Paternoster whom I haven't seen for ages, just to be told that no day visitors allowed. That did not go down well with me.
This is the perfect getaway for a family vacation. It is safe. Near shops and the beach is close by. I would go there anytime.

Very peaceful atmosphere, house is clean and one feels safe. Comfortable porch with garden and swimming pool. Walking distance to beach and shops. There is only a shelf in the shower to put soap and shampoo on.

We were unexpectedly upgraded to Ahoy 2 - a beautiful, large 3 en-suite bedroom accommodation. Clean and bright and comfortably fitted with all amenities. Hop, skip and a jump to restaurants and the beach - whilst not on the beach, it is within walking distance and very centrally situated.

Great place for a summer break or for warmer days. Nice and centrally located, close to restaurants, shops and beach.
It's our second visit in just a few weeks to the same accommodation. The small negatives have been resolved. The last visit was lovely and this one even better. The bird life is amazing, the local tortoises amusing, the garden is quiet (note that this is right in the middle of town and you would never know it). The accommodation is clean and tidy,the kitchen is well equipped and we love the shutters. There was a problem with water pressure to the entire town and Camilla kept us informed throughout our stay.
The only complaint is the toaster was broken and the alarm is faulty. Otherwise, we both loved the whole setup. The large stoep has plenty of seating. The house has everything we needed. The surrounding gardens and pool area are well looked after and lovely for bird watching. Yes, we most certainly would love to go back.

The house was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful with a nice big shower. The grounds are very safe to leave your car. The houses are within walking distance of several restaurants and the beach. Will definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately, the hostess could not receive us, but we got the key from the restaurant next door and spent the night quite well.
Very tidy and everything you need for a weekend away. The house has a modern farmhouse feel and the location is close to everything in the center of town. The pool was especially a bonus. 2nd time we've stayed here and will be back again.

Ahoy Farmhouse 3 was a pleasant surprise. It was the ideal size for our family of 4, well equipped and nicely furnished, so that you immediately felt at home. We definitely had a good time. Camilla, the owner, is very friendly and prompt with advice. It's also excellently located - close to everything, but far enough to be able to move around peacefully. Will stay there again.

If the booking is for 2 persons - a couple - only the main bedroom and the bathroom will be set up. If the booking is for 2 singles - this needs to be mentioned during enquiry. A surcharge of R100 is applicable for the setup of 2 bedrooms for 2 single travellers. This is payable directly to the property.Amount of guests is strictly according to the number of guests booked and paid for.
