Airy Industrial Loft is a self-catering apartment located in the Crescent View complex situated in the suburbs of the coastal town of Amanzimtoti, just south of Durban.
The unit is located on the fifth floor, can accommodate up to 6 guests, and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom which is built as an open plan wet room and a separate toilet. There are 2 main bedrooms, both with queen-size beds and louvre doors opening onto the enclosed veranda and viewing room. The third bedroom has 2 single beds with three-quarter duvets for comfort. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms.
The loft has a large open-plan room with the kitchen as you enter, with 4 stools at the kitchen island and a living area. The funky spacious kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area has seating space for 4 people which can be extended to a 6 seater, while the lounge has comfy seating and a TV with the local channels and a DVD player.
The industrial loft has magnificent views across the Manzimtoti River and the Indian Ocean. There are 3 director chairs strategically placed at the large picture window to take in the views with a mug of tea or a glass of wine. A wonderful space to relax after a day out and about on the South Coast.
There is a communal braai in the front garden of the complex. A grill is required if you are wanting to braai.
There are drying lines on the basement level of the building. The apartment block is accessed through a gate via remote control. A private lock-up parking garage, number 504, is available for use by guests. The front door is secured by a Trellidor for guests' safety.
Amanzimtoti is a popular tourist destination, particularly with surfers, and divers visiting the world-famous Aliwal Shoal just off the coast. There are lovely beaches in close proximity to the Loft, our favourite is Warner Beach, a 4 km drive and one of the best beaches for a nice long walk at low tide and if you are feeling energetic you can walk all the way to the Illovo River Mouth. All along the South Coast, there are many options for a day at the beach. The fabulous Galleria Mall, Arbor Crossing and Makro are nearby and Amanzimtoti features several other shopping malls, entertainment venues, and a variety of nature reserves.
Durban's restaurants, shopping, markets and beaches are a 30-minute drive on the highway north of the Loft. King Shaka International Airport is an hour from the loft.

8 guests' feedbackThis was our second time staying at Airy Industrial Loft and yet again we had such a lovely experience! The caretaker of the property was as kind as always, and we were also contacted by the owner who welcomed our second stay. They really do go out of their way to accommodate their guests. We were blessed with an extra night, and they even accommodated a personal request we had. Airy Industrial Loft is well equipped, spacious, has an amazing view, and it's by far our most favourite place to stay at in KZN.
We expected the unit to be further away from the sea, but were pleasantly surprised to find it was only a few minutes away from the main beach. The unit has a very nice view and was big enough for our family. It was very nice and clean and we enjoyed it a lot. We also occasionally saw monkeys visiting the main gate. I can recommend this unit, and will definitely use it again.
Wow, wow, wow! We had a wonderful experience at Airy Loft. My husband and I still can't get enough of the view, the comfort and the tasteful style that has been put into the place. Dayle, the caretaker was awesome, she was so helpful and friendly. I would recommend Airy Loft anytime!
The loft is neat, comfortable. Quiet complex and safe. The owners as well as their manager really go the extra mile or more to make the stay easy.
This is a home (not a guest house). The kitchen is very well equipped. 3 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Decent size lounge. Large wraparound balcony with spectacular views. The lock-up garage was a bonus. The eccentric architectural style grows on you.
Well received, very neat and safe. Well located, peaceful atmosphere. Driving distance to all the beaches. Helpful and friendly owners. Caretaker of building somewhat grumpy.
Airy Industrial Loft is spacious, airy, modern, comfortable and secure. Although it is not exactly right on the beachfront it is still quite central and everything is nice and close, and the view is spectacular. Because of its location we picked up on a nearby restaurant / sports club namely Lords and Legends which offers real value for money as well as good entertainment. I would recommend Airy Industrial Loft to a family or few those vacationing with friends.
Even before our arrival we had communication from the owner themselves, the lady looking after the place communicated as well. I have been on holidays for over 34 years of marriage and never had this personal service! The owners even threw in a extra day at now extra cost, not requested for. The place it self is awesome! The view exquisite. The place itself is just what one needs. Thanks to LekkeSlaap and the owners of the Loft for a memorable holiday!
