I was treated very kindly and hospitably.
Very good. But did not have WiFi. But was given a room with TV.
The Staff were very pleasant/friendly and made sure that every facet the stay was great.
What a lovely place! The best hospitality. I would recommend it anytime.
There was no soap, milk or sugar in the room. There was no top sheet on the bed. It was as if no one had inspected the room beforehand. The place inside is nice, but when I arrived I first heard that it would cost R100 extra if I wanted to use the aircon! It's not acceptable. It's very messy outside. Too much "clutter".
Very friendly service from Marietjie and her colleagues who are always willing to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend it.
The owner is particularly friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. There is also on-site parking behind a manual gate, so your car doesn't have to be on the street and is out of sight (an unexpected bonus). Rooms have everything you need for a basic overnight stay. The only thing that slightly puts me off is that everything except the bed and the TV is in the bathroom (including the cupboard, fridge, microwave and kettle) because available space.
I travel a lot and am a guesthouse owner myself, I'm not full of nonsense, but a place needs to be clean. Soap, water and cloth do not cost much. There was no kettle although coffee and cups were provided. The pane in the window was completely missing. The cobwebs weren't even removed and it wasn't from the day before, the mirror wasn't even wiped down. I am really disappointed. I will allocate the value of the accommodation no more than R500/night. Would be too embarrassed to ask people R1700. But now one also realizes that it is a big weekend for Porterville with all the visitors who come to attend the annual rugby tournament and they want to earn as much income as possible in the time. Just a pity that your poor service will be the reason that people will not use your service again.

Neglected. Dirty hall to rooms. The second room we booked did not even have a light. They had to move us. Dirty ashtrays full of stumps in front of our room. It was raining. There was no place to eat except in a bar where people smoke.

It would be nice to indicate the name of the guest house more clearly/visible. The receptionist made an effort to receive us, solve a power problem (electric kettle) and prepare dinner.
Wonderful breakfast received and friendly service. Accommodation is good for one night only. Will not sleep over for more than one night.

Very friendly staff! Large and neat room. Having breakfast in the mornings a true bonus. The ideal place to stopover if you need to be in or near Porterville.
Homely, friendly and basic.
Staff is a bit 'absent'. Had to look them up to book. Directions are also unclear.
We booked our breakfast in the evening for the next morning, but there was nobody to be seen the next morning, no number to dial. I ended up dialling the number on my booking printout. Only after the third call did somebody come and make breakfast after a long wait. This was the reason why the other places were full and Akkediskis empty. I talked to some other people afterwards who agreed that their service is poor.
No lighting. Single bedside lamp shorted out (unsafe - bare wire). Microwave oven in toilet area. Toilet connector leaks, supported with butter dish in which water runs out (unhygienic). In night disturbance, we make e.g. awake because the power grid in the bathroom after power went out, I wished it would be morning. It was obviously a terrible experience.
Would definitely stay there again.

Very cute guesthouse with a wonderful hostess! Rooms were neat and we had such a nice dinner that night! The only thing that was bothersome was the trucks driving through town.
We were welcomed with a personal name board in front of our room before the friendly Marietjie came to greet us personally! The unit was fresh, clean and quite large and on the quiet side of the main road. Everything we needed was at hand and the breakfast was quite good. One will definitely return.
The hostesses were friendly and received me warmly. My self-catering room was neat and clean and although it is located on the main road, there are also rooms on the side. Was surprised that breakfast was included as the overnight price was already so affordable. Plekkie unfortunately doesn't have their name on signs anywhere but luckily my GPS took me to my destination. Although vehicles were locked, a shade net might have cooled my car a bit from the Swartland sun. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you Marietjie and team.
