2 guests' feedbackThe service was excellent. The view from the lodge is breathtaking. Sam and her staff are friendly, helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed a private dinner and the chef outdid herself. The lodge's decor is top notch. The photos in their advertisements give a true version of the lodge.
Alkira was a lovely surprise until we had to book accommodation at the last minute for a wedding in Knysna. We actually had to be there earlier to be able to float in the pool that hangs high above the lagoon. But sitting on the porch very early the next morning, with freshly ground coffee, was just as good. Reception was warm and friendly, breakfast with other foreign guests was top notch. The view in all directions is phenomenal. Because it is located in a private reserve, we slept with room doors to the fynbos wide open - the shower is also built that way. At Alkira you pay more than a few rand, but you are warmly received, like old friends. This is the way the hospitality industry should be.

As a service to guests, dinner is reserved for them at the Lodge on the night of arrival. Guests should please let Alkira know if they prefer to make other plans or if they have any dietary requirements.
Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the establishment. Guests are required to enquire about the condition of the road, before arrival, as it could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Description
This 3-bedroom villa accommodates 6 guests and is available for guests' exclusive use, but also includes an optional breakfast as well as cleaning service on request. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen which includes a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and utensils. The spacious living area features a stylish lounge suite, fireplace, as well as a TV, and a 6-seater dining table. The villa opens onto a patio which boasts a dining table, built-in braai area, outdoor seating area, and access to a private pool as well as a hot tub with stunning views of the town below.
Accommodation at Alkira Lodge comprises a choice of 5 en-suite rooms in the main house or the free-standing Shufflers' Villa which is available for guests' exclusive use.
Each bedroom in the main house is furnished with a king-size bed which can be converted into twin beds, and each room features an en-suite bathroom with bath or shower facilities. Some of the units have a fully equipped kitchen and living area.
Shufflers' Villa is perfect for a discerning family or group of up to 6 guests. All rooms have a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The villa offers a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area, which leads to a patio with a private swimming pool and a hot tub.
Guests have access to an infinity pool with sun loungers, a hot tub, and a dining area on the patio. Inside the main house, guests can unwind at the bar area, library and in the guest lounge areas. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi and secure parking.
The lodge is within driving distance of the beaches, Knysna, and activities offered in the Garden Route area.
