Aloe cottage is a real gem in Darling. Over and over worth the money. Everything you need with the nicest stoep for visiting and barbecuing.

Disappointed that I couldn't find anything to complain about. Even sitting on the stoep for the evening braai, a show of a full moon was nothing less than spectacular. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I'll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aloe Cottage in Darling. It was part of our road trip and a luxury after the hustle and bustle of busy Cape Town. A lovely stoep overlooking the veld made it feel much more like a farm retreat. There was a complimentary bottle of Darling Wine and a box of Evita's Toffees waiting on the table. Recommend for sure.

We had a lovely stay at Aloe Cottage. There was a lot of attention to detail that made our stay comfortable. We especially enjoyed the books, board games and bicycles.

Nice to stay with friends and everyone has their own bathroom facilities. The dishwasher is also a plus.

The cottage should have proper details typed of how to operate the TV etc., as there were 5 different remotes with no proper instructions, also the geyser which we switched on when we arrived with no further instructions with regards to the heating instructions panel which is separate to heat the geyser, we had to call the company on that heating device to assist. The main bedroom shower is blocked which I brought to Paul's attention. The kitchen cupboard below the sink needs a good cleaning and I also took a picture to show Paul a dead cockroach which was not removed. He should also add to the list where to find the mop and bucket just a few going-the-extra-mile kind of thing for guests instead of calling him each time and he should also add that and the "first aid" kit we later found inside the main bedroom cupboard which we required during the time of our stay there - that is something good to have at hand especially for the overseas visitors. Because we had animals (pet-friendly), we needed to mop often and also because of rainy weather, the floors were actually quite dirty after mopping, sandy. A lovely cottage that requires a little more cleaning, checking on cleaning staff. Thank you for the wood supplied, however, the wood was placed in a corner where it got wet, why not in a corner whereby rain cannot reach? A little more TLC. We loved the privacy of the unit, very peaceful and well-equipped. The one frying pan should be replaced. I will be back.

We have travelled quite a lot - however, I must say the amenities in the cottage was just amazing. We basically just had to bring ourselves and food, everything else was provided - even doggie biscuits! The thoughtfulness of this people managing this establishment is wonderful. A definite return with my partner/wife is on the cards. Thanks a million for an amazing stay - what a gem of a place!

Darling is a good location for all the activities in and around Darling. The cleanliness could definitely be improved, only a few points that were so. The house has everything you need and makes it very comfortable to stay there. Each room that has its own bathroom is also very comfortable. The porch is amazing.

Exceptionally well stocked, and a beautiful little place, loved every moment and will go back in a heartbeat.

It's a cozy little house on the outskirts of Darling. The house is fully equipped and has a lovely fireplace that heats the entire living area in the cold. However, the cleaning service leaves much to be desired and so does the maintenance team.

Well equipped with everything and anything else. Spacious en-suite bedrooms with a lovely veranda overlooking the panoramic Swartland. Our dogs really enjoyed it too. The neighbors' corgi came to say hello. At night one can appreciate the star dome.
