47 guests' feedbackVery neat and good, WiFi was however very bad in room. I had to go outside to use it. The neighbors next to the guest house have dogs, but the barking was disturbing, especially at night and when I open my bedroom door, I hear the barking from the other side of the wall.

It was good although in room 7 where I was the WiFi is extremely bad. I had to stand outside around the corner from the room. Also dogs that bark terribly, but it's a residential house next to the rooms so the guest house has no control; it's just a bad disturbance at night and when you open your bedroom door, dogs barking terribly on the other side of the wall.
It was a pleasant surprise to discover this place. Very friendly service and the stay was definitely worth the money for me.

Comfortable accommodation, nothing 'fancy', but everything you need. WiFi works well. Air conditioning made the cold evening bearable. Environment feels safe and it is close to town. I initially struggled to find gate 1 because there are no good indications, but after they explained me over a WhatsApp call, it was actually quite simple to find. The bathroom's extractor fan is a bit noisy, sounds like something terribly abrasive and it automatically turns on with the light, so no way to turn it off. That's really all I can complain about. The rest was good.
This time I was somewhat disappointed. We made a reservation for 2 people, but we only received one cup, so the other person could not drink coffee or tea. There were also no teaspoons available to stir the coffee. The guests in the room next to us were talking and making noise terribly, even after 00:00 until almost 01:00 the next morning.

Geyser had fault during stay and no hot water on second night, ladder was left in the room by plumber, had to take it out. trap door left open on an evening of -3 degrees. no alternate accom offered besides room next door which didnt have hot water either. Establishment has other b&b's so this was dissapointing. no parking inside which is a concern for equipment i had in my vehicle.
Slept very well. Clean and tidy. Pizza we ordered was very tasty. Took take away, didn't want women driving alone in that village at night. Didn't feel safe.
Rooms are clean and tidy, the trash in the bathroom was not cleaned after previous guests slept in the room and 2 bottles of water in the fridge for a double room would make the stay better.

We had a delicious meal at Celtis Gastehuis, which is part of the group.
Directions and instructions on signing in were very complete. The reception was friendly and prompt, but instructions on how to enter the premises in the dark and find the room were missing. The room was comfortable and clean, but the layout on the premises is cramped and there was no garden view. The meal at the Celtis restaurant was delicious and good value for money.

The only negative thing is the shower. It's very cold in the bathroom when you close the door, there is a terrible draft through the door when the roof fan is on. The shower head does not spray well at all either. Furthermore, we cannot complain about the facilities. They might consider putting in a single-plate gas stove for times of loadshedding for if you want to make coffee or tea.
Check-in is unfortunately at another far, guest house. Guests must drive an additional 3 km to register as well as collect keys the next morning. This information is not contained in booking/ Lekkerslaap App.
Wifi didn't work but was sorted when I called. Restaurant is 5km away which was not communicated well. Ordered takeaways and food was excellent though!
We were so lucky to find accommodation here. Would definitely go through Middleburg again on a road trip and will stay here again. Really important to have the owners involved with guests and staff. Well done!

What I saw could be a lovely stay. I literally just slept, not exploring the rest of the premises or town. Do recommend it.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean with working aircon which was a great bonus in the Karoo heat!
Sorry about the power being out the time we stayed there. Suggest battery operated emergency lights in place of the paraffin lamps which are a fire hazard. Regards.

Good accommodation, perfect for a quick overnight stay.
No name on any walls, drove around and asked afterwards! The lady who received us was not friendly or professional at all. The TV remotes do not work. No place to hang towels. Only 2 hangers available on the wall. Toilet seat broken. Not enough parking, guests have to struggle themselves and plan to fit everyone in!

The ladies were incredibly friendly. Good service and rooms nicely clean with best fresh linen on incredibly comfortable bed. Was only disappointed because there was no power which meant we couldn't take a hot shower or make coffee. Would be good if they could procure a generator to use in such situations. Eskom problem had nothing to do with the guest house. At least we were rested to face the rest of our way.

We booked 3 rooms and all 3 rooms were far apart, not ideal with children. You have to cross a road to go to each other's rooms. There was no hot water, my son (20)'s room didn't even have any water. I made a request over WhatsApp and was ignored. Middelburg's power was out (no one's fault), but the showers etc. working with solar panels and even when there was still power there was no hot water. We were there for two nights and until we left there was no hot water. It's not the cheapest accommodation for 6 people, so I expected a bit better.
I feel that the accommodation gave me everything that was needed to make my stay comfortable.
