53 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay, it's close enough to the town and sea that you can walk and enough not to be bothered by noise. It has 2 Alpacas there that you can feed that roam free, lots of bird life and very, very peaceful.

We just want to thank the host for a great and wonderful weekend. It was awesome. The friendliness when we arrived there and throughout the whole weekend was exceptional. The cottage is beautiful and cozy to stay in; we love it. The animals were so nice to feed too. That's really a farm in a town to go to. I have to say, the host will see us again. I will say, for anyone who wants a weekend or week away, that's the place to go to.
We had a wonderful stay and were exactly what we needed as a family. The aunt made a lot of extra effort to make everything easier with a place to sleep for our 4-year-old daughter. Our little girl couldn't wait to feed alpacas morning and night, and the aunt made sure that the carrots didn't run out.
Out of the books, hostess very helpful, friendly. We will definitely go again. Lovely.

Hanelize was absolutely wonderful and hospitable. She and her husband went out of their way to help and assist us when we lost our stroller keys. The whole week with them was wonderful and they went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We will definitely go back to them again next year.

As I said in my ptevious review. The bed in the main bedroom needs to be replaced. It is really in a bad state. The kitchen cupboards have a smell ike mould. . The hostess waz very helpfull and friendly. Everything you need is there.

It's a great place when having kids that love the outdoors and animals. The alpacas are kid-friendly and Hannelize was always there to give them carrots to feed the alpacas. Definitely, a place to revisit.

I had a beautiful time with my teenage son. Hostess went out of her way to make things easy. Gave bikes to ride, took us to the beach, and just very considerate. Animals on the yard so beautiful, gardens beautifully laid out with many sitting areas to write or meditate. Go back again anytime.

Alpacas and other creatures are adorable! Hostess was friendly but never intrusive. House is cosy with all the comforts and equipment you could need including a gas stove and lamps for loadshedding. Definitely recommend and will return for another stay. Kleinmond is a lovely area.

We had a really nice stay and the tranquility is just what one needs. Our little girl enjoyed it there, especially the swing, walking and feeding the alpacas carrots. There was always carrot to feed. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back next year.

I only see positive reviews, but think they only post the positive ones and not the negative ones, but here is a negative one that everyone should read: I would like to pass on our disappointment regarding our 3 night stay at Alpaca Cottage on Kleinmond. This is probably the most unsanitary accommodation we have ever stayed at. There are cobwebs everywhere, there is mold, the shelves are dusty and the glasses are sticky and dirty. The master bedroom has a horrible sweaty smell that hangs in the air. It feels like you have to wash your hands all the time because everything feels dirty. It's really unacceptable and creepy. I am considering notifying the Department of Health as it is truly a disgrace. The kitchen is completely inadequate with stale coffee that has already soaked to the sides of the container. So we had to purchase our own tea/sugar/coffee and barbecue salt. Something that was still available at all the other self-catering units, but not here. We were mostly out and literally just slept there because we didn't want to be there for as long as possible. The animals were cute, but that's all. I feel people should not be allowed to rent out places and do so in such condition.
Our children really enjoyed the animals and all the activities. We are already planning to book for next year.
My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back one day. Our daughter was crazy about the alpaca's and bunnies and was very sad to leave. Our host, Hannelize was friendly and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the games that were at the cottage, our favorites were Ludo and Rummikub. The cottage had everything we needed. The area is very relaxing and peaceful and brings you back to nature. We enjoyed a nearby hike that we started from the cottage and the views from the top were breathtaking. We would recommend this destination to anyone.

Very cute accommodation that feels like farm life within the town. Huisie has everything to make a stay comfortable and the alpacas, guinea fowl, bunnies, hedgehogs, peacocks and the large and small turtles give it a real farm atmosphere. Had a quiet time. We had a great time. The kitchen is tiny, but there is everything you want. Big TV (not important to me, but maybe to others). Nice outdoor area. Plenty of room for kids to play with alpacas, rabbits, turtles and lots of birds. There is plenty of silence and tranquility, which is important to me.

Accommodation is great and everything around you within a 20 km radius.
The big attraction of Alpaca Cottage is the three tame alpacas that roam freely on the premises and eat carrots from one's hand. There are also turtles, bunnies, chickens and lots of guinea fowl. The accommodation is cozy with everything one could need and Hannelize is more than willing to help with anything additional if needed; even extra guests. We extended our original booking and had a lovely peaceful stay.
They will definitely see me again.

We had a wonderful, restful stay and enjoyed the hospitality of the host who was friendly, kind and generous. The alpacas were delightful.
We went down from cape town for our 15th anniversary. The couple who owns the place are very friendly people. We had one of our kids with us and she really enjoyed the animals. The property is big and we could roam freely. The bathroom and kitchen is very small and I spent as little time as possible in there. In the microwave there was a bit of a smell but we cleaned that. I'm also not used to carpets anymore and the cottage has mats and I think over furnished. Besides that it was enjoyable. We might even go back.
