Value for money, was really surprised. There is absolutely everything you need, you literally only need to take food and chargers for your phone if you take the self-catering option. There is also a dine in option, you won't regret it.
For the summer it is the ideal vacation spot. Large front patio and rear patio. There is unfortunately not a living room inside the cottage.
Friendly reception and very helpful, neat equipped room with bathroom, secure parking and free Wi-Fi all make it worth going back again. Close to the airport, Red Berry Farm, gas station and eateries. Herolds Bay is only 12 km from this peaceful spot.

My daughters and my husband really enjoyed their stay at Alpine Inn. Thanks Helena and the 2 ladies that cleans for a wonderful stay. Only problem was the Wi-Fi was limited to 500MB per guest. So we had a lot of expenses for buying data for 2weeks stay.

Very friendly welcome and Sommer quickly given the WiFi pin. The bed sleeps incredibly well and everything was just wonderful. The WiFi did not want to catch up in our room and there were still foods from the previous person in the small fridge. Otherwise it was very nice.

One expects more for the price you pay. Not the ideal location for a holiday. Braai facilities very impersonal. Kitchen was equipped with the minimum utensils. And not in good condition either. Insufficient cutlery for the 2 bedroom accommodation in which we went home.

The place was clean and our self catering unit had everything we needed. I would recommend that the owners have DSTV connected though, that was the only problem we had.
The full kitchen was very nice, but the bathroom was again so small your legs are under the sink when you sit on the toilet and you climb out of the shower over the sink. According to the description there should have been air conditioning and there wasn't. We also expected from the photos and description that we would be in a single room, but it was not. The venue was very nice and the cleaning services every day were very convenient. At least there had been a ceiling fan, but this time of year one needs more than that. Would still recommend the place, definitely had worse stays.
The room and bathroom was clean and neat. The kitchen not so much. The bin was dirty, there were only a knife and fork, although we were two guests. There was a glass bowl with a lid. The bowl broke at some point and was glued back together. I refuse to dish food in that - it is unhygienic. There was a gas stove next to the basin. In the cupboard under the sync is a gas bottle which looked bad as well. There was 1 frying pan with a lid and 2 pots. I took the frying pan out to wash. I cleaned it with Chemico and it looked good. I could use it. When I took out the first pot I felt sick - it was black/burnt inside. I left everything and didn't open the cupboard after that. Parking was a problem - not enough space for everyone.
There is a lot of room for improvement. Our biggest problem was that we struggled with hot water as the apartment above us which can take 6 people and we, also 6 people, only had to share 1 geyser! Funny smells in the living room. Remotes did not have batteries in them. Trash was broken. There was more wrong than right and for that price per night you expect a 3 star to be a 3 star, not a 1 star.
Quite cutely furnished in the kitchen. I was worried about my car and the gate was open on a busy street. There is then another customer (or at least I hope so) who repeatedly opens and closes his car door and later leaves. It was at about 3am.
We stayed there for two nights. The service was very impersonal and some of the basic facilities like the boiler were dirty and the second boiler we got was broken and on top of all that the toilet was clogged. When we informed them about the toilet being blocked, they questioned how we were using the toilet. For the price, it was not worth it and we would not recommend this place to anyone.
The room (20) was very dark because there was a cupboard in front of the teller. The room is very small, and if you put in an extra mattress for a baby there is no space.
It was a very nice surprise to see the layout of the guest house and that it is like a small town inside the guest house and very pleasant. Very neat and comfortable. Our reception was friendly and professional and very good value for money, exceeded my expectations.

Our room was on the main road so sleeping late was out of the question. Very noisy. For the rest it was value for money. There is a pig farm nearby that gives off a bad smell depending on how the wind blows.

It would be great if they could provide bed sheets and get the restaurant up and running again. The dishes stored in the cupboards were dirty and I had to wash the pots and pans myself again to use. They mentioned that each unit is only cleaned every other day, but there are no cleaning supplies or brooms.

We arrived late in the evening and were kindly received. Easy access with own remote control for the gates. Beautiful, neat and just right for our needs. Very comfortable, tidy and everything you need is there, even a washing machine! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and we could go for a walk in the evening. There is a strawberry farm just around the corner! Will do so again!

The place was ok, but I expected a little more. The refrigerator and microwave oven could not reach the power point and therefore one could not use them. The curtains are also so thin that there is light in the room all night. The size of the place is perfect (and if these two things were right we would have had a very nice stay).

The location opposite Fancourt was excellent. Whilst it is obvioulsy not a 5 star hotel Udo the owner was extremely friendly and accomodating, and we had a good time.
Alpine Inn was a good fit.
Interior of main buildings look cozy. Cottages need some maintenance e.g. non working sliding doors and skew toilet seats. need some additional bedroom side/ coffee tables. Rooms are small but clean.

I want to thank Travelground for a hassle free booking service which was prompt and quick. Our stay at Alpine Inn was one of the most enjoyable weekends we spent in years. The service was friendly, efficient and they went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even ironed our clothes! I would highly recommend staying here as it is only 6km from George Airport and very centrally situated when wanting to take daytrips to Knysna, Mosselbay, Hartenbos, Oudtshoorn and very close to the CBD of George. Will be going back soon! And total value for money!

We found that the pool side cottage we initially requested rather small and we had a problem with hot water (water shortage in George) however Udo quickly moved us to a self catering room, much better, that is the room we will book next time. The breakfasts were fantastic. Udo is a great host.
