What a beautiful view! The apartment contains everything needed for a nice stay. Unfortunately we had a nightmare experience with the ramp. Because we had my elderly parents with us, we were forced to venture up the driveway with a trailer. That was not a good idea at all! Perhaps it would help to mention in the description of the accommodation the steepness of the ramp, as well as the fact that the parking lot is not pram-friendly. Otherwise it was a wonderfully peaceful few days.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very tastefully done and has the most beautiful sea view. We were very grateful for the lovely fireplace, nice warm blankets and full DStv package in the freezing weather. I would suggest a loose rug or two, as the floors do get cold in the winter.

For sure a unique house with a beautiful sea view. Very neat and clean with everything you need to have a comfortable holiday. The uplink wifi and gas stove are a big plus during load shedding. Was pet friendly by prior arrangement and very comfortable. Both owner and agent very friendly and helpful. Recommend it with confidence.

It's a beautiful house with the loveliest view, but it was raining and our car couldn't get over the hump. So only a 4x4 will do it and if you might have a walking problem, you won't get out of that hump! Maybe just mention it.

It is everything we were looking for. Modern open with all the glass allowing the view in on one side and letting the sun in from the other. Very private even with all the glass. We only closed the large bedroom blinds. We were lucky to have very good weather and were able to open the view side doors to the fullest. We had a lovely time.

Amazing Modern Beach House is exactly what the name says, great location with a festive view of the sea with big waves. The house is extremely modern with great decor taste of durable linen and peace and quiet in the mind. Driveway is very stylish and no garages. Three different outdoor braai facilities, durable braai grid, large outdoor table and small splash pool. Created with creativity and comfort in mind. Highly recommended in Jongensfontein, a real gem!

"Breathtaking views from a glass house"

I had the pleasure of staying in this amazing, brilliantly cleverly differently designed architecture house where every room has a spectacular view. En-suite bedrooms on either side of the house with a fully functioning kitchen, lovely long dining room table and comfy couches with the most beautiful decor and finishing touches. Because I'm not tall I, however, had to stand on the stepladder to reach the crockery because the cupboards are very high - but there's a big variety of lovely crockery! There's a Weber braai at the back but with the long list of restaurants recommended - I didn't have the pleasure of braaiing. Time was spent exploring Jongensfontein and Stilbaai and of course sitting staring out of the windows taking in the beauty of the sea. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. The driveway was very steep and I was too scared to attempt to drive my 4x4 up there. The walk up and down the driveway is quite a mission - but well worth it and great exercise! I loved everything about this house and in the words of the Terminator - I will be back!

The Modern Beach House is exactly that. Very modern with a large living area between two bedrooms at each end. Sliding doors open completely so you can sit in the living room with an exceptional view of the sea! Everything you need is in the house to make it a nice getaway - dishwasher, gas grill, WiFi, etc. I can definitely recommend it!

Excellent view of the sea and the accommodation is top notch. The driveway is very steep to the house. We stopped our car below. But in wet weather, walking up and down the driveway is a challenge for older people.

Very modern and beautiful view. The steep ramp is indeed a nightmare and carrying all the luggage up is quite a challenge. The fact that you may not grill on an open fire with wood/charcoal is not ideal for a seaside holiday. The fact that the bathrooms do not have doors makes it uncomfortable. It is beautifully equipped and the service was great!

We were kindly received upon arrival. The house was spotless, the rooms are spacious and our children had a lot of fun playing around the house. The view every morning from your room was my favorite aspect of the house and sliding doors that slide all the way open to invite the sound of waves into your home! We see you again.

What a pleasant experience this weekend has been. The house has an incredible view from inside with even a better view from the roof. It was lovely and refreshing being constantly reminded of the ocean's magical effect right throughout the house. We greatly appreciated the minimalist effect of the house, avoiding unnecessary clutter and making it easy to relax, especially if you want to escape from the everyday rush. The house is built on a steep slope, but any vehicle can easily reach the driveway. You certainly don't need a 4x4. The courtyard is very private and you can even enjoy a high degree of privacy while being on the roof of the house. This was definitely money well spent!

"Indoor camping!"

We arrived to find that the agent was unavailable. His father informed us that he had left his mobile. Only as a result of us knowing people locally were we able to track him down so that we could obtain the keys to the location. This is completely unacceptable. It was dark, raining and this made for a very poor introduction to the property. The house was unlit and is up a very steep incline. Only a 4x4 would get up this. This was not made clear on the propery description. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The property is sparsely furnished. For example, no bedside tables. The furniture that is there is however of good quality and the beds were clean and comfortable. It felt as though details had been missed though. There was no mirror above the basin, no toilet roll holders and no door on either of the toilets (which had only one brush between them). Cleanliness generally was poor. This is especially annoying when you are being charged extra for a cleaning fee. There was dirt and hair in the window runners, fingermarks over the fridge door, the shower had the previous occupants sponge and old socks in the (very limited) wardrobe. There was no instruction book for the house which made discovering the obscure light switches a challenge and when the gas ran out, we had to figure out how to reconnect it. If you are coming from SA with a pickup full of your own things, this might be okay. If you are coming from abroad, you will find that there is simply too much missing.
