Our time at Amper Plaas Cottage was short as we only stayed overnight, but I will use the cottage again and stay longer next time.
Definitely a must! You wake up to the silence and chickens crowing. The place is very farm and was definitely a unique experience. It feels like your home away from home, the cottage is very nicely equipped and you immediately feel at home. I would recommend it to everyone and on top of that the owners are very friendly. The sunrise over the mountains is definitely a bonus.
If you want to break away from the hectic life, this is the place to come and take a breather. Enjoy the farm atmosphere. Cute people! We will visit again!
It was so quiet, away from all the city noise. My kids enjoyed all the animals.

The visit on Amper Farm was very pleasant. The environment is what we expected surrounded by nut trees and nature. Free running farm animals and the tranquility is what we wanted. our little kids really enjoyed it too. No power outages and just farm deliciousness.

We were welcomed very kindly and immediately felt at home! The apartment was very spacious and so nicely decorated with windmill and "antiques" theme - lots of charm! And then of course the goats, geese and chickens captivated the children's hearts and it was a wonderful experience for them to be able to rub and feed them - and the large lawn in front of the unit made for a nice place to play! The unit was neat and clean - the beds slept like a dream and the fine lavender sprigs in the bathroom and around the packet of biscuits were so charming and the Salted Caramel treat on the bed was delicious! We woke up on Sunday morning to a crimson sunrise that glistened beautifully on the pond in front of the unit - a very peaceful and refreshing atmosphere! We were really very impressed and satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you very much again!
The reception from Marnell really makes you feel at home straight away. She and her entire household were soon part of us when we sought rapprochement. We rested wonderfully and enjoyed the farm's silence. Our guests were also very welcome to visit us.
There are security gates and dirt roads with multiple turn offs to adjoining farms so be sure to arrive during daylight if it's your first visit. We were assisted to navigate by calling the owner who talked us through to the cottage. Additionally fly/mosquito screens would have greatly enhanced our stay as White River is a very hot area with safe ventilation a definite requirement. With all windows and doors closed, nights were hot even in April/May.
We were only there for one night but will go back again. Amper Plaas Cottage is "off the beaten track" and was very peaceful and quiet - the perfect place for a getaway! This cottage was very neat and clean, with an old farmhouse atmosphere. And the view is breathtaking. The owners are very friendly and welcomed us like old friends. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend Amper Plaas Cottage.

The farm road is just very bad.
Almost Farm Cottage is exactly what it is. Lots of amenities, clean and tidy. Located between orchards and stables on a farm. Very peaceful and quite safe. We were hospitably received with the most delicious fudge. Would recommend for someone who is happy with basic amenities and doesn't expect luxuries. Thank you, we slept well and it was sufficient for our needs.
Nothing for kids to do. WiFi advertised is very bad. Road to accommodation is almost impassable with my vehicle. Place looks very nice, but is only clean in front.
Will refer other people to stay there. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Nobody bothers there. You can come and go as you please.
Wonderful to experience real farm silence, and to wake up with a cockerel's cordate crow. Seeing Boerbok standing on its hind legs to reach for nice green leaves. Far away from the hustle and bustle of towns or cities.
Really on the farm. No street lights or lights around to keep you awake. The sound of silence is deafening!

Almost Farm is exactly what its name says...you are on the farm with all its natural beauty and tranquility. You have to brave a small piece of dirt road to get there, but if the road was tarred, it wasn't a farm. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. This is the type of place where you can relax and just rest, but also so centrally located that you can ride the entire Lowveld. The host and hostess are approachable and very helpful, without intruding on privacy. It's definitely the place where I will stay again if I go to Lowveld again. Oh yes, definitely value for money.
We had a very friendly reception. They packed a delicious picnic basket for us for the Saturday. The Saturday afternoon they walked with us. When it looked like it was going to rain, they pulled their bakkie away so that we can park under the roof. On Sunday morning they made a delicious breakfast. If we have to sleep over again we will go and stay there.
We really enjoyed it and will go back!

Pleasant. However, the road was not so nice for a regular sedan car. Perhaps this could be part of the information passed on to customers.
We enjoyed our overnight stay in this quaint, country cottage. Although not far from town, we felt as if we were out on a farm in the country.
