There is also a 3-bedroom house that has a full kitchen and a lounge with outdoor braai facilities.
There are an above ground pool and lapa area. The cabins are self-catering but breakfast can be supplied on request.

Amperda Log Cabins is a real place to go. Away from noise and people. Service was fantastic and we will definitely use their hospitality and accommodation again. Even my 2 teenagers agree. Thank you Tan and Bianca for a wonderful time.
The location of Amperda Log Cabins is fantastic, just off the N2. It is located on a neat, clean farm and the owners are helpful and I would recommend it if you are looking for accommodation in the area.

We were there for the Otter Trail event, so we really only slept there. Enjoyed the swimming pool, very chilled vibe.
Lovely log cabin, rustic feel, lovely, lush flat lawn to play on or relax right outside with parking right there! Beautifully decorated lapa and sheltered braai area. Awesome night skies. Very attentive service - always going the extra mile. Great hot showers! Close to tourist attractions and hikes.
We had been in unit 1. It is well equipped and the environment is peaceful, almost like a peaceful farm with the presence of farm animals on small holdings. Hostess was helpful and welcomed us kindly. There is one complaint, the master bedroom double bed needs to be replaced. The bed is not at all the quality one would expect at such a place. We each had to sleep separately on single beds.

The host was very friendly and helpful. We were 4 friends who cycled from Storms River to Port Elizabeth. We had a good night's rest and the facilities were such that we didn't have to struggle at all with space for our bikes, luggage or necessities. The host was very friendly and helped us with directions as we had to leave early the next morning. The house was clean and tidy and the lapa, where we could braai, was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely visit Amperda Log Cabins again.

It was delicious. A nice farm atmosphere but still close to attractions
The place is small, but comfortable and met our requirements. The owner is friendly and we were well received.
There are only three log cabins on the property making it very private. The cottage we stayed in for two nights has two large bedrooms with comfortable beds. However, no attention was paid to the little things that make guests feel special. The bottle of hand soap was empty and there was only half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Although we had a nice stay in a very beautiful environment, we feel that the accommodation does not justify the high price. It feels like one is mostly just paying for the location.
We would have liked more storage space for clothes. The rest of the unit was well laid out. We had a very nice stay. Service was friendly and helpful. Information about the area was shared upon our arrival which made our planning much easier.
We used Amperda Log Cabins as a halfway station on our way to the Cape. It worked really well and will do it again.

The property is not up to the standard of the guesthouses we have stayed in. There is no door between the master bedroom and the bathroom. The door to the master bedroom cannot close at all - it looks like the lock has been painted over. So, if someone takes a shower or uses the bathroom there is no privacy. There are no burglar bars on the windows of the room at the front of the property. So, if you want to open your window, any person can get in there. The idea that one gets is that you are going to stay in a log cabin with a view. This is not the case at all. The cupboards in the kitchen are old and need updating. The gate does not have a monitor that picks up when there is a car driving through, so our son's car was damaged when we entered because the gate did not stop. Fortunately there is no major damage, but it becomes a big problem.
The cabin is particularly neat with a peaceful atmosphere and you feel at ease.

Just 2 thing I want to suggest: 1) put a sign up somewhere that warns people that the orange wire shocks you. 2) The duvets move around in the duvet covers a bit, that's not fun. Otherwise, it was a very cute place.
Amperda is very well located in the Storms River and Tsitsikama areas. It is very easy to get to various attractions.

The place is nice neat and value for money, Barbara was not there when we arrived, but her assistants checked us in, on her arrival she came to see us. We had a family crises and had to leave a day earlier and she was understanding in that regard too.

The accommodation is approximately 5 km off the national road. Situated on a smallholding. The one-bedroom cabin with a bunk bed in the kitchen area, looked exactly like it does in the pictures and had all the accessories needed for a family of four. There was a bar fridge, microwave and a two plate. I particularly loved the joint braai area, and there was also an above ground pool. Plenty of space for kids to play on the grass in front of the cabins. Storms River Village is approximately ten minutes away, where there are a few small shops and eateries. The Tsitsikamma National Park is another 15-20 minute drive away. Barbara was a very sweet host; we appreciated the invitation to sit and chat. Good place for a good night’s rest as it is very quiet.
What a lovely two night weekend! Our daughters immediately made themselves at home and had fun playing on the grass in front of the cabins. They loved the bunk beds. My husband and I were very comfortable in the adjoining room (we had the family cabin). The cabins have everything you need despite the small space. We felt safe (although as city slickers, we were initially a bit nervous because of the proximity to the road). Our hostess, Barbara, made the girls feel very welcome and free. She was helpful and willing to help with whatever we needed. The cabins offer a sense of privacy. Loved the cosiness of the braai area. The night sky is amazing! It made the perfect ‘home base’ from which we could easily explore the region. Will definitely be back for another visit.

Very friendly owners and great hospitality located on a private farm in the middle of nowhere, best mountain views and a great place to unplug from the world. A must stay in you on the garden route.
If you don't want to do anything, Amperda is made for you! Because of the good location we were able to explore the area properly - Stormsrivier Village brimming with activities, Storms River Mouth (especially if you have a Wild Card) also the hiking trails at the big tree. In the evenings we made a nice little fire and enjoyed ourselves - away from the noise. Barbara and her team wil definitely see us again!
Lovely clean spacious 3 bedroom 2 bathroom farmhouse with an outside area to braai. There is an occupant in the granny flat attached to the house. The noisy hadeda birds got us up at 6 am on two mornings unfortunately. WiFi access would have been a bonus. Road access from Cape Town is via a Tollgate. We however enjoyed our stay as it was reasonably priced, comfortable and in a beautiful area.
We had a wonderful stay and Barbara did not hesitate for a moment to help when we needed help. Some of the friendliest and most hospitable people we have ever met.

I was under the impression it was a separate room for me and our boys, for me and my husband and two boys it was a double bunk which was very uncomfortable, I would never recommend it to anyone else. We didn't get any sleep and had to cancel our plans for the next day because we were all too tired.
The owner is very helpful.
I didn't like the place at all. We were received by the gardener who also insisted that we give him the balance in cash. Two days later he came again and said we had to pay (again). Barbara van den Berg never received us, but she was with the other people. She didn't even bother to call me about the money. They don't seem to have a card machine. The place is not well maintained. The front door has trouble opening and the door in the bedroom's key is broken so you have to pound the door open. The deck has a hole in it. It was a nasty experience and we stayed 2 nights. I have never been received so badly at a place.

It was a godsend when we needed accommodation. Only one towel available. Beds rock hard. Location good. Well received. Kitchen and workplace inadequate.
This dollhouse was perfect except for the fact that we were 4 adults which made the toilet facilities a little difficult while the 2 sleeping in the bunk beds were not awake. But that was the only inconvenience involved there.
Loved our stay, it felt like a home away from home, just more peaceful and quiet. Like my 13 year old son said " this is the life". It's close to all attractions. Thanx Barbara for an awesome weekend!
The surroundings are beautiful, but the cottage is very basic and had a musty smell.
The location is directly on a tarmac road. It could have been so much better 100m away in the trees. There are also many flies due to the cattle on the farm. The owner is very willing to help.
