We were traveling from the Western Cape to the Eastern Cape, so we only spent a night, arriving late and leaving early-ish. The hosts were amazing. We left Cape Town late and realized that the ongoing roadworks will cause quite a delay. We telephoned ahead and advised them that we might not make the 10pm check-in deadline. This was not a problem, and the host could not have been more accommodating - even checked that we had the directions as we would arrive late and in the dark. They left the key in the door and left lights on for us, and we only met the hosts the next morning.
We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The owners even texted my wife to say we were safe there.

Our stay was short but pleasant. The view is breathtaking.
Unit was nice clean and tidy. Private and secure. Sea view is beautiful. If you want to go to the beach I would recommend you drive because it is a bit far for walking. Dolphins in the waves and clean open beach for walking.

They can upgrade the bathroom and also the mattresses were a bit hard so I didn't have a good night's rest. There were also too few kitchens, e.g. pots.

The view over the sea was breathtaking. The staff and owners were mostly all friendly and helpful. However, I recommend that guests travel to Bokmakierie in strong vans or 4x4 vehicles instead as the steep ramp to the parking lot can be very challenging for regular sedan cars. The venue is well maintained, very stylishly and tastefully furnished and very tidy. The garden is very professionally and tastefully laid out. The venue is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and is ideal for people who just want to switch off and relax after a hard working term. Breakfast is an option for guests and is offered in a cozy atmosphere in the venue's spacious dining room which is very tastefully furnished. The hostess and host are themselves involved in offering the breakfast. However, I booked a self-catering unit and therefore prepared my own breakfast. Although I myself did not enjoy my breakfast in the dining room in the morning, it was very pleasant to listen to the soft, soothing, classical music that could be heard from the dining room in the morning during breakfast. For the type of traveler who likes quiet, stylish holiday venues, Bokmakierie will definitely appeal to them.
Comfortable and quiet. Safe and easy access to the N2. Delicious, big breakfast and Koos was a very pleasant host.

The house is filled with antiques, takes you back to the old days. The breakfast area incredibly colored with white and blue old pieces. (Breakfast itself was nice). Places very quiet and you can also invite your pet along.

This is the first time we as a family have used a guest house that accommodates pets. It was an excellent experience and Koos and Ria, the owners, really went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience for us. The guesthouse is highly recommended!

Everything we needed was provided. From the moment of our arrival we felt at home with warm welcome by owners. It felt like family we hadn't seen in a long time. Our unit was equipped with everything and there was a lovely view of the sea from our balcony. Dana Bay's beautiful beach and everything in town you need is nearby and it's also only a short drive from Mossel Bay's beaches and attractions. Thank you very much Koos and Ria for your hospitality!
Clean and tidy accommodation at a reasonable rate. Spacious self-catering unit with four bedrooms. It's comfortable for a family of four (4). Daily cleaning service for vacationers. Driving distance from Mossel Bay. Nice view of Dana Bay and surroundings. Can recommend it.
