My husband and I had a really wonderful time at Anandi Guesthouse Mariental. The place is clean, quiet and the hostess Rene was very friendly. Strepies, the house cat, made himself thoroughly at home on our bed which made it feel like home. Lovely garden with old mulberry tree. All that bothered me a little is the limited DSTV package, so we couldn't watch rugby. So they just have to mention on their website that they have limited channels with no sports. But Padstal which is barely a kilometer away serves delicious food and has a screen. Will stay there again for sure!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and tidy. Good mattress and bedding, but our bed had a "squeak" that was very annoying every time someone moved. Anandi Guest House's building definitely needs a coat of paint to make it more acceptable from the outside because the inside looks very good.
Offered everything a person expects from an overnight stay.
I booked a deluxe room, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The luxury was a hot tub, one of the jets of which did not work. It didn't bother me though. What bothers is the absence of attention to detail. In the roof were 2 dead lights. No provision is made for recharging computers and mobile phones. You have to choose: mobile phone or bedside lamp. A multi power plug will help a lot. The desk chair is lumbar and can be put down at any moment by a 120 kg person. The two easy chairs are worn and used and have seen better days. I will book a regular room in the future which may be better value for money.
It's a convenient place near shops, swimming pool for children and very safe. People also very friendly.

Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work. Staff very friendly and helped with pick up and drop off. The pool helped against the intense heat. Breakfast the next morning was tasty.
