75 guests' feedbackIt was absolutely amazing.
Great stay for fishing in the ocean as well as the bass ponds and exploring the rock pools.
Incredible place. So beautiful, well equipped.
The host is very accommodating and helpful. The accommodation is very neat and very well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed not clocking out exactly at 10:00. The grace that was given was so much appreciated as we had really wet weather on Saturday but could take the 5-year-old fishing on Sunday, and it was the highlight of his weekend. Thank you so much. Will definitely recommend your establishment. The view was spectacular.
Cottage was very clean! Absolutely stunning views. We recommend this accommodation and will definitely be back. Thanks for your hospitality.
Anglers Paradise felt like a home away from home. With its beautiful views, cosy and clean cabin, we just didn't want to leave. The host was amazing and greeted us with a warm smile, and made sure we had everything we needed and knew of everything that my partner and I could do in the area. I would recommend this to anyone who just needs to get away and wind down from life. I promise you will leave a happier and well-rested person.
We were a group of 14 friends that rented out houses 1, 2 and 3. We had the best weekend at Angler's Paradise - the views are to die for, the houses well kitted out and spacious with lots of space to entertain and lots to do and explore around the property.
Lovely stay, beautiful place.
Angler's Paradise is very neat, a breathtaking view. Very neat and well equipped, everything you need. Cell phone signal is very bad, but there is WiFi at your disposal. It's just not mentioned before you book that you have to drive an 8km dirt road, but it wasn't that bad. Will definitely go again. It's everything we were looking for. Thank you.
It is probably one of the most beautiful and unspoilt places along the coast. Very beautiful with views over the sea. There is a nice swimming hole also by the sea. The log house I stayed in was very good and fully equipped. I didn't need anything.
Great and caught some bass in the dams.
Beautiful location. Break away a thousand!
Calm sea breeze with fantastic view.
My wheelchair-bound wife and I stayed in House 3 for a week. Our friendly host really tried to make everything as comfortable as possible. We had a great time and if my wife's condition permits, we would definitely like to go again.
Beautiful surroundings and view. This place is a gem near us. We will go there at least once a year. Host is hospitable and helpful. Thank you very much!
Angler's Paradise is a beautiful place with the most beautiful views! Noël went out of his way to accommodate us. We will come again!
Accommodation is very well appointed, good service, definitely worth it.
The location is far from the sea, but has a breathtaking view of the ocean. House was particularly well equipped and tidy. Owner goes out of his way to help and you feel safe there.
What a beautiful, peaceful spot with nature all around. This is the perfect spot to recharge your battery. The view is stunning, the situation totally unspoilt. Being dog lovers, it was an extra bonus to be able to take our 2 well behaved dogs with us. They enjoyed it just as much as the humans. Friendly, efficient service and neat and clean unit.
The bass fishing in the dams added to the enjoyment of our stay. We also liked the small tidal pool and picnic place at the camping area. Fantastic, breathtaking view!
We went to visit for my husband's birthday this weekend. The children enjoyed the tidal pool and sea air so much, my husband was in the clouds over the fishing spots and I enjoyed my glass of wine on the most beautiful veranda in the country! Many thanks also to Noël who called the Dr op Kareedouw and kept the surgery open for us on Saturday when our youngest had an accident with a finger in a car door. Great service, indoor and outdoor braai facilities and the most incredible view. Even when it was rainy Friday afternoon, the view was stunning!
We used houses no 1 and 2 and the log house. Most beautiful sea views, well equipped and Noel's service to us was great and accommodating. Good WiFi too.
Amazingly beautiful views, absolutely worth the trip, very well priced. One of the most beautiful places I've seen.
Will be back for more.
We had such a wonderful stay at Angler's Paradise. Noel makes sure you feel welcome and taken care of. The accommodation is clean and spacious and it's equipped with everything you need. We loved swimming in the tide pool and the coastline is just stunning. The views are spectacular. We'll definitely be back.
We booked in for 4 days over the long weekend. The accommodation is excellent and the whole place is very well maintained and is particularly neat, safe and ideal for a few days' break. We were very well received and the log house is ideal for couples and families and newly built. The campsite by the sea and tide pool is nice and note there is not a beach, but the tide pool is good for cooling off in the hot summer heat we have had. Each unit is private and quiet. Very pleasant stay for quiet and privacy. The WiFi is excellent and there is also full DStv. I would recommend the following: The log house is new and there are no mesh/screen sliding doors in front of the glass sliding doors. The property is in an intensive dairy farming area with thousands of dairy cows in the area, so flies were a big problem, with the glass sliding doors open you are literally swarmed by flies even late at night, if you keep the glass sliding doors closed it is in the summer particularly hot in the log house. So mesh/screen sliding doors in front of the glass sliding doors to keep flies out and in front of the windows will solve the problem and make the accommodation then top class.
This is a beautifully equipped chalet with an awesome view. Peace and quietness form part of your day. A host that is always available, friendly and helpful.
Noel was extremely helpful. Incredible view of the sea. There was everything one would need. Very neat.
We arrived late at night, Nols turned on the lights for us, and unlocked. When we stopped there late at night, we could only go inside. Made a nice fire in the fireplace. It was very cold.
Beautiful location and a spacious unit. Will go back again for sure. The units look exactly as pictured, for once.
We were so well received and really enjoyed the weekend. The house was neat, clean and well equipped and has a beautiful sea view, away from the noise and hectic life. We will definitely visit again!
None but the best.
Can highly recommend Angler's Paradise. Incredible view. Just make sure vehicle has enough ground clearance.
The photos do not show how beautiful it is
We were received very kindly. Place is well equipped. Clean and tidy.
Beautiful views, lovely interiors, very intimate with the perfect host! We loved everything about the place! The weather was just perfect. Place so safe!
We were able to fit in a lot of things in 10 days from Plettenberg Bay to Jeffreys Bay. The weather was good for us and we were able to make the most of every day with 2 days of golf included (Fynbos and Hankey). On the inland side, we also did a bit of Baviaanskloof. Nice walk on the premises by the sea and also to the dams. The birds at the ponds are special every day and there is a White-backed Duck that has made the second pond its abode. Red-breasted jackal birds operating on either side of the accommodation kept us busy every day as they were actively hunting. Photographers will enjoy the opportunities to photograph birds. On the last day, a large school of dolphins came to greet us. We have in house no. 3 stayed and the indoor braai was very handy for the days when the wind bothered.
Beautiful surroundings with great accommodation. Everything neatly clean and taken care of. Friendly, helpful service. Accommodation thoroughly equipped with all appliances for a comfortable stay, plus pleasant surprises such as the telescope. Most beautiful view and swimming area imaginable. Weekend is far too short!
Had a great weekend and will definitely return - very kindly received by Karin and Noel.
Very quiet and beautiful quiet place that is well equipped. Very nice braai area. The open-fold fold-away doors give more space to the room. Great views.
Had a great time. The host also made it very pleasant and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. We even received mattresses for the 2 small children who came along - we were just planning to make a bed for them on the ground. There are now a few things here and there that need attention. If I can recommend: The kitchen top where the zinc is got water and is very ugly swollen, the glasses are few and quite thin, there are only 2 steak knives. Other than that we had a great stay and will definitely return again and again.
The place is great and would love to go again. A little renovation is needed for house no. 1. The roof leaked, but was not an inconvenience. The caretaker was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even brought us Lightning when we forgot it at home.
Anglers Paradise is a gem of a holiday home. Whether you just want to relax for one night or for a week, this is truly a place to keep in mind.
We chose Angler's Paradise because it looked breathtaking. It really delivered!
We were very impressed with the stay at Anglers Paradise. We had a wonderful rest and everything was incredibly neat and clean. The place is food for the soul and my wife rested wonderfully with a book on the deck with a breathtaking view while my son and I fished from morning to night in the ponds and off the rocks. Noel was incredibly helpful and friendly, helped us a lot and even brought lighters and matches that I had forgotten. We are happy to recommend and will come again soon.
Extremely friendly owner and such an awesome place, we all loved it. Will return again.
What a beautiful, private place, with such awesome sea views! The hosts were so accommodating with everything and we had a wonderful Christmas stay! Will def stay again and have already recommended other people to come stay!
Will recommend this place to anyone. Everything was clean and neat. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you.
This place is food for the soul! View, rest, hike, read and a fire! What more can you ask for.
We received a warm welcome from the host. He is ready to handle any "problem". The location and views are beautiful and the house is comfortable. Little things are lacking, such as an egg lifter and a plug at the sink that seals well, but all the other good things make up for it. It just might be something that can be rectified. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to other guests. Next time we want to try the lovely campsite right at the ocean.
We were surprised that the unit now also has WiFi. It was really the most beautiful view. The road to the sea has been upgraded and we could easily drive down to the tidal pool, where there is a lovely table where you can have a picnic. Noel went to great lengths to ensure that everything was in order and was available full time to solve any problem. My children also really enjoyed it, especially fishing in the ponds. I can recommend the accommodation with peace of mind.
Great! Breathtaking! Safe!
Perfect escape, so comfortable, absolutely beautiful, veritable paradise.
We had a fantastic time at this spectacular 180° view unit.
We were pleasantly surprised with the gem of a place. Cottages have all the basic facilities and were clean and tidy but the nature, beach, tidal pool, walking area and view were incredible. We will definitely go again.
Here you can switch off and forget about everything that bothers you. Incredible view of the sea.
Will return for sure and have already discussed with family and friends as they asked where the hell are we, from the Facebook photos that we posted.
There is a dirt road from the main road to the farm. The house is very comfortable and nice. Remember to do your shopping before you arrive at the farm. The view is stunning and looks exactly like the photos. Noel is a very helpful host and there is also a laundry on site. The road to the private beach is quite steep but good exercise.
Excellent location to get away and enjoy the views and outside light. Suitable for couples and families with small children. Lookouts and own private swimming spot by the sea. If you want to get out it is 30 min from Storms River and Jeffeys. We will definitely come back again.
Angler's is lovely - we will be back again.
We really enjoyed our time at this stunning place. The view is unbeatable and the house has everything you need. We can't wait to come back.
It is a fantastic place for tranquillity, nature and the untouched coast. Will recommend light for bugs for the moths and the gravel road is a little bad but we survived it. Will definitely come again and recommend it to anyone who likes beautiful views and scenery!
Beautiful view with a wonderful fishing spot.
Beautiful views with tranquility.
As we had been here before we knew what we were letting ourselves in for when travelling the first 4 km on the public gravel road to Eersterivier before turning off towards Angler's. We were surprised to find that there had been some improvement made. Noel made us feel welcome as usual and we were soon able to relax and enjoy the wonderful view. The cottage is very comfortable and has an indoor braai/fireplace if the weather turns foul. We had a lovely time up at the dams where the guys caught some bass and I enjoyed the bird life and amazing sunsets. We also enjoyed the walking trail along the sea edge. All in all it was a wonderful "chill pill".
See star-rating.
Plesant, neat place with a friendly host. Beautiful view. Unfortunately we spent too little time there. Would have liked to stay an extra day or so. Will definitely return.
The view and scenery are phenomenal and the house beautiful. It is difficult to walk to the sea (steep up and down!) and there is not exactly a beach. The rock fishing was difficult because it was raining and the wind was blowing strongly. One day we could not return with the vehicle from the sea because the steep road was too wet. My son enjoyed the blackbeard ponds very much and rode his bicycle between the ponds every day. Cell phone reception very bad, but WiFi bundles for sale from the caretaker (very helpful and occasionally on your doorstep). Make sure you buy enough groceries in advance - decent shops are far away. Broken tumble dryer quite a frustration as it was raining and we struggled to get wet clothes dry.
Had a great time. Unbelievably beautiful view. Private. Road there was in poor condition
A unique experience of having unspoilt coastline to yourself.
We were received very hospitable, due to the very poor road surface (7 km long) due to a lot of rain, the owner lent us his 4x4 car. He even went along to show us the way into the town before our dinner, super! And what a beautiful location, right by the sea with an enormous view over water and rough coasts. We even saw dolphins swimming. In the evening we used the barbecue in the house and the next morning we had breakfast down by the sea, great!
We had a wonderful rest. The time is always just too short. Many thanks to Noel and Karin for a VERY relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The sea was truly a pleasure and the view makes you realize just in advance how blessed you really are.
AP lies after many kilometers of gravel road right on the coast at about 100 meters height. There is one well-passable road on foot as well as by car to the coastline. There is beautiful nature. The location of the three houses is really beautiful. There is little to experience in the surroundings, the town of Kareedouw has everything but offers little else. The cottages are neat and fully furnished. Our house did have some overdue maintenance, but not to the extent that the vacation was deficient. You can also wash and dry in the shed behind the cottages. A very beautiful place, which you must have seen during your holiday in South Africa. The owner is very enthusiastic and helpful. He doesn't live around the corner, but if there is, he comes straight to the spot. If you want sea fishing, everything is available, only the necessary bait. That is not widely available. That was indeed dissonant, the owner made a commitment that could not be fulfilled. He gets on with it. The cottages are fully self-catered.
Outstanding and very well presented accommodation.
Our stay was so relaxing that we wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage was extremely comfortable and we just loved the glass folding doors that invited the outside in. I could have sat on the deck all day enjoying the stunning views as well as the bird life. As if that wasn't enough, we then took a drive down to the tidal pool. What a special place. I had an awesome time and took many photos of the waves smashing themselves against the rocks. The guys did some bass fishing in the late afternoons and were rewarded with a good number of catches that they released again. All in all we had a most enjoyable time. We want to thank Sakkie and Janet once again for their warm welcome and for all the "special little touches" that they provided, like the chocolates, biscuits and wood. It was really appreciated. Hopefully we will be back soon to enjoy your beautiful piece of paradise once again. Regards, Andre, Terry and Gareth de Ridder
