Our stay was absolutely blissful, from the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep to the gorgeous view, you really can't get much better. You have everything you could possibly need in the self-catering unit. Not to mention that the hosts are so friendly and helpful!
Hospitality is the order of the day, thank you very much Ankervas' people! The view is breathtakingly beautiful, and the unit is very spacious and equipped with everything one might need. It was nice to spend the night there, and would definitely like to go back for longer.
Ankervas is an incredible place. Here we could just rest and relax. The day bed in the sun in the corner was a winner. Here we stretched out, grabbed a book and lay and read while the waves broke in front of us. Auntie was so kind! She gave us a packet of cookies and crackers on our arrival and explained what the black sand on Morgan Bay's beach is and where it comes from. The lagoon was incredibly beautiful and so shallow that you could walk right through it in places. We didn't want to drive here. Ankervas will definitely see us again.

The most beautiful place to spend the night in Morgans Bay. Everything is of high quality. The view couldn't be better. So sorry we couldn't visit there for a week.

The view exceeded our expectations. Elsie and Johan received us kindly and helpfully. We enjoyed it so much we stayed longer. The unit is well equipped and the braai facilities were exceptional. The lovely beach is within walking distance. We hope to visit Ankervas again soon.
We were welcomed by the sweetest Tannie ever! She went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable, allowed for a late check-in and even provided snacks. We will definitely be going back!
Ankervas is definitely one for the books. Every morning when you walk into the living room, you gasp for breath at the view. The host and wife are so helpful and lovely and make you feel like family. Everything is where it should be. Clean and tidy and truly a place I would stay again.

The unit does not have its own braai area, we paid extra for a braai area and had to share with the other unit that was right next door. Place was beautiful, but privacy was not there at all. If you barbecue, the other unit's kitchen is right on the porch. I suggest maybe putting up blinds.
I have stayed at Ankervas twice before. Each time it was out of season and Ankervas 1 was not booked at the same time. The facilities are amazing, and I booked again for this past Easter weekend. I was aware that Ankervas 1 had also been booked out. It was only on our arrival that the twist in Ankervas became evident. One of Ankervas's most appealing features is the large covered patio with a built-in braai. However, people looking to book Ankervas 2 need to know that this patio is exclusive to Ankervas 1. There is no private outside area available for Ankervas 2. The website does not draw attention to this. I would suggest that only large families who can book both units out at the same time book here.
