Had a wonderful stay and the host and hostess were friendly and helpful in making us feel comfortable.
The house exceeded my expectations. It was honestly more than what we paid for. From the warm welcome and the exceptional assistance from the hosts during our stay. It is beautiful and cost-effective, especially considering our current economy. The hosts were excellent; they were responsive and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place.

This was the second time staying here for a business trip. The guesthouse is in a lovely area. The guesthouse was spotless and very welcoming. The only thing I would have liked is a few basic amenities like tea and coffee. Otherwise, we had another great stay.

Drove the Durban Amashova race.
It was a lovely stay, lovely week spent with family relaxing and not being affected by loadshedding for the duration of our stay. The parking was a nightmare, especially with the reserved parking as the occupant(s) were not very considerate of how their parking would affect other people. Perhaps they could also consider getting new couches for the sitting room, the ones that were in the unit we rented were old and uncomfortable to sit on. Maybe also upgrade some of the kitchen facilities like the kettle and the fridge. The air-con in the other room was not working which was not too nice on the hotter days, perhaps also consider an aircon in the lounging/dining area. Despite that, it was a lovely stay. Would definitely come back in the future.
The stay was awesome.
Room was very damp with waterlogged walls. Parking is a nightmare as the house is on a hill with very narrow parking. Only provided towels and toilet paper. We had to cut our stay short as the room smelt so bad, struggled to breathe.
The apartment has everything you could need. It's host is friendly. It was quiet and peaceful. A few minutes from all Umhlanga's attractions.
I just hated the room service command at 10 am without any consultation if I would like it and by that time I was still in bed.

Everything was pretty neat and clean. Secure parking. Nice and quiet.
On arrival, we were informed there was no water which would have been much better if forwarned so that I would have taken my own water instead of standing in a queue for 3 hours in the rain to purchase water an expense which was not budgeted for.
The kitchen sink was blocked and had water in it when we got there. We couldn't wash the dishes, which was not acceptable, you could see the water had been standing in the sink for a few days.

The place has secured parking. It has all equipment needed for a 'Self Catering'. It is convenient for a family. It is also located near established shopping complexes. Located near the freeway to easily drive to anywhere in Durban.
Quiet area in a beautiful location. We had a great stay.
The king size bed was a plus.
The shower could be cleaner. The bathroom mat is old. The towels where not changed out daily. The towels also had visible wear and need replacing. The fridge is old and too close to the stove - there is fat/oil splatter down the side of the fridge closest to the stove. The windowsill behind the main bed was very dusty. In the second bedroom there was a pair if shoes left over from previous guests - worrying as if this area were being cleaned these shoes would have been removed.
The house is neat and the owner is friendly. We had a very nice stay. The house is close enough to Durban and you can visit the north and south coast from there without driving too much.

Quiet environment. Spacious, except for the kitchenette. We were housed in the 6-person unit even though we were only two. A little renovations are needed.

Gochas ligt midden in de rode Kalahari zandduinen. De weg naar Gochas voerde ons door de mooie groene canyon van de Auob rivier. We hebben genoten van de rust en de stilte in Gochas.

We can confidently recommend Annie's Self Catering. I was there on business and my wife accompanied me. My wife was unexpectedly surprised with a pair of slippers that Annelien crocheted herself which was very welcome. A baked cake was also brought just for us. The towels were replaced every other day with clean ones and it was thoroughly worth the price. It's comfortably close to Durban and many places to eat that you can choose from. Will definitely stay there again and if anyone wants to go the self-catering route, Annie's is definitely recommended. Annelien went out of her way to make everything pleasant for us and invited my wife on a shopping trip, which unfortunately she couldn't attend. Highly, highly recommendable.
Warm welcoming by Annelien who went the extra mile to make ensure our family's comfort. The house was clean each day, so were the braai grids after a day on the beach. Lovely!
Nothing drastically wrong, but nothing that was fantastic either. The place is a bit old and tired, so some maintenance and a good cleaning is needed, e.g. the shower door, cracks on the walls and tiles etc. At least it's quiet, peaceful and the beds are comfortable. The hostess is also very friendly. However, there is no coffee, sugar, tea, milk or anything like that. Yes, it is self-catering, but I feel even self-catering places should provide at least one cup of coffee or tea per person per day. Would not recommend for holidays, but for a quick weekend away or just a night's sleepover, quite adequate.

Arrived late and left early, so just needed a bed for the night. Great value, central and safe. Unit is fully self-catering, with a proper fridge/freezer and not a just a bar fridge like most places have.

I had to go to Durban for work and had to go to no. 99 a night's sleep. So I was looking for something convenient and affordable. Annie's was ideal and more (WiFi included)! I was extremely well welcomed (with sleeping socks included)! The hostess was lovely! I will definitely use Annie's Self Catering again in similar circumstances.

I was in Room 2. The room and bathroom are clean and suitable for overnight accommodation. The patio that is in the pictures is not for this room so there is no space for you to sit outside.
This unit has so much potential. Can definitely improve. Not even coffee or something put out for us. Kitchenware old. Oven pan too large for the oven - the oven door can't close when you put the pan in it. The lady did, however, provide really cute socks which she knitted herself.

I was very impressed with the place, it's always nice when you're a little nervous, but you're impressed beyond your expectations. We had a lovely stay, absolutely excellent for the price. It was perfect for us for one night's stay at home.
We enjoyed our stay at Annie's. They have large rooms and it is very comfortable with secure parking and friendly hosts. It is also close to all major routes and attractions.
Annie's Self Catering is very comfortable. I know it's self-catering, but I wanted to at least be able to make coffee before I left. There was a kettle, but no coffee etc.
Anellien and James were fantastic with everything and made sure I enjoyed it, friendly and helpful, place neat and clean, great service will definitely go again.
We were very excited about our weekend away, but our stay left a lot to be desired. The duvet sets were faded and very "old." The cutlery and glasses were not complete sets and very old. The unit did not feel clean, and it was dirty under the beds. The unit we stayed in definitely needs a new leaf and "update" to make it more modern.
