Ond spent the night in Ceres after a wedding in the area. It was great to visit places like Ceres, Tulbagh, Piketberg and Montagu. It was the first time we paid more attention to the interior, and we don't regret it! Yvette was very friendly and helpful.
Spacious, clean, tidy. Ceres was just incredibly hot with lots of mosquitoes, loadshedding didn't make the fight very fair. Mosquitoes 1, us 0.

Where do I start? We were received like old friends, the place was spotlessly clean, the linen and towels excellent quality, the biggest, most comfortable king size bed I think I have ever slept in. The tranquility was fantastic, it felt like we were on a farm, the wonderful mountains around and the beautiful hiking trail nearby naturally contributed to this. There was complete privacy, it didn't feel like we were sharing the yard with anyone else at all, I would recommend the place 100 times over.
Large room. Great attention to detail including load shedding self-powered light bulbs, full DStv package, a little jar of rusks etc.

I wanted to get away from Cape Town and be in the Ceres mountains whilst doing some remote work for a few days. Apple & Pear was the perfect solution - a comfortable flatlet for staying and working, in a very quiet part of Ceres, close to the mountains. Good wifi, peaceful streets to walk in when I took breaks. I felt a little bit unsure at night as I was a solo female, and there was only one door (no security gate or trellidor) - but Ceres is perhaps safer than Cape Town. All in all it was a wonderful stay and if I need to do remote work again in the area, I will be back!

We had a very comfortable stay at Apple and Pear. Reception was very warm and friendly. Accomodation was very easy to find. The accomodation has mostly everything one would need for self-catering, although a small cooking top of some sort (induction hob or other compact solution) would have been handy as we could not cook anything with only a microwave. Parking was off street but no security is provided and not knowing the area and how safe your vehicle and contents are overnight I was a little nervous but we had no trouble. There is also no lock to prevent access to the private use courtyard from the road.
