Bring your inflatables for fun on the river. The river is shallow enough for the younger kids to play and swim the day away, and parents can easily keep an eye on them from the campsite. Bring your mountain bikes and enjoy a cycle or a walk in the surrounding area.

6 guests' feedbackLovely campsite. Children had fun frolicking in the water and on the large lawn. The ablution facilities and kitchen are neat but sufficient for a medium group, one toilet and one shower.
Great location, grass was nice and green, but a bit sandy around the bathroom area. Lots of shade. Kids had fun in the dam area. There were a few sharp thorns in the dam, but some water shoes will help with this. Hot water was not working when we got there, luckily we only found that the gas wasn't connected. Otherwise, very nice braai area. The photos are out of date. They have a very nice braai area now.
If the rocks and slimy area of the dam can be made better the small ones can play better as it's very slippery. The fridge also leaks a lot during load shedding.
You are constantly surrounded with a calmness, except sometimes for the farm workers who drive by. But they are not troublesome at all; welcoming and friendly. Better than I expected.
This was our 2nd time camping here. The children, all between the ages of 3 & 6, played in the water and the field all day long. It is a safe area for children to explore on their own and move a little further from mum and dad than you would normally allow in the city. The campsite itself is beautiful and very comfortable.
Great campsite for people with small children. The river is shallow enough for 3-year-olds to swim comfortably with fins and chutes without an adult in the water. So much freedom for the children to cycle on the farm roads on their own. Beautiful campsite and everyone wanted to stay a few more days.
