11 guests' feedbackOur visit to Uvongo and Uvongo Beach Front (Standloper) brought a few disappointments. We specifically asked during the discussion if the water quality in the area was acceptable, and we were told yes. However, it is sad to say that this is not true at all. Our entire family of 5 was seriously ill, and it was clear that others in the area were aware of this problem. We bought water and even brushed our teeth with it, but we couldn't escape the Natal germ. Four other families (and friends) in the area between Manaba and Ramsgate were also all ill. I realize that this is not the fault of the accommodation, but when one pays almost R50 for 11 nights' accommodation, I would think honesty about this situation is important. The apartment itself was spacious with an air conditioner, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer which was a big plus. The lounge sofas were not very comfortable, and one sofa was even broken. The caretaker changed it, but the "new" couch was also in bad shape. The furniture on the porch, including the table, chairs, and couch, was rusted. This can be understood because the seaside atmosphere, but we would still like to sit comfortably outside. The location of the accommodation is ideally close to the beach with easy access. Riki, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful. She allowed us to leave later that day when we had to rush to take my son to the doctor. I really hope that Natal works on their infrastructure in the coming year. shall we go again I'm not sure, it's a very sad situation.
We had such a lovely holiday at this unit. The pictures don't justify the beautiful views of the sea, the sunrises and the sunsets, the magnificent sounds of the ocean. Absolutely relaxing atmosphere, we had great times on the patio which is larger than we expected and we had some fantastic braais with an overwhelming sea view. Our little one also enjoyed and loved every moment! We will go back anytime!

Really enjoyed. Safe and beautiful. Just take your own towel and toilet paper. I expected these basics to be included in the booking.
Was fine except for the fact that my deposit was not refunded. Contacted them several times.
Nice and clean but flat not properly checked before we moved in. Remote for gate did not work and neither did the toaster. Front door lock needs attention and keys were not at the garage on arrival as directed. Ample safe parking which needs to be repaved and shade netting should be re-installed. Access to beach and sea views excellent. Uvongo beach has no sand on the beach and we had sewage spill and spring tide which forced us to go to other beaches. Main bedroom only has limited cupboard space as the other cupboard is locked as is the case in the children's room. Some form of a fan in this room (bunk beds) is necessary.
Had a wonderful time with family. Beautiful view of the sea.
