On arrival, the swimming pool we were looking forward to was closed due to the fires in the area. Despite the ash and dead material blowing into the pool, the staff did open the pool for our convenience. It was so special. Two things that can contribute to a pleasant stay are a drying rack and cloth for dishes, as well as a corkscrew if you want to open your own wine. The place is beautiful and comfortable at a very reasonable rate. Congratulations on great service and a hit place to stay!
The atmosphere that was created was wonderfully peaceful and calm. The highlight was the pool water which was perfect.

Room was tidy, friendly host. Surroundings were peaceful and we were able to have a peaceful night's rest.
They are currently building and this definitely affected our stay, although they really did their best to clean the site at night. We slept in an outside room which has a lot of potential, and which is now also going to be restored. The mattress was great, bedding clean and suitable. The shower over the bath was adjustable in height and that wins 100 points for me because I hate water on my little crown. There are quite a few improvements to be made to the room itself, but I believe they are going to do it now. The breakfast was only cereal and yogurt (with a croissant on Sunday morning). It was suitable and enough, I just would have liked warm milk (I then went to heat it in our microwave on Sunday). The location is fantastic up the hill with a lovely view, which we didn't have due to the location of our room. The other rooms will be able to enjoy it. The owners are two young people and I wish them much success.

Very hospitable welcome. The room is very neat with old-world charm that I enjoyed a lot. The area is incredibly quiet and peaceful. No early morning disturbance from the traffic. It is the ideal place for the person looking for quiet and peace, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is very close to the shops and restaurants though.
We had a short trip and it was perfect for what we needed. Was very private. Was able to get in and out easily. Wonderful hospitality. Beautiful on the mountain and next to the vineyards.
The guest house offers a safe, peaceful, friendly place to sleep for someone who just wants to feel safe and rest undisturbed with open doors and windows. We got delicious coffee and cereal the next morning, which also makes the whole stay even more special. The bed slept great and everything was clean and tidy. Good value for money, no one can complain about the dryness which plays a big role that a luxury like a swimming pool can't look good because the water that evaporates so quickly. The place has a lot of potential, but it's old and dilapidated. Needs maintenance. No coffee/tea/water or ice in the room. Safe accommodation.
Upon our arrival in the Paarl, we were kindly received by the owner. Upon entering she asked us if we were informed that our room does not have an en-suite bathroom, but we have to share a bathroom with someone else. We were surprised, but then she said that she also had another room with its own bathroom that we could get for the same price as the other one. We then went to look and decided to take the one because we wanted our own bathroom. The room then consisted of a bedroom which must have been a single garage before. The double bed was an old-fashioned bed consisting of a headboard and a steel base with "coil springs". Furthermore, there was a small bathroom with a bath/shower sink and toilet. Then another room which is supposed to be the kitchen. There are no washing up facilities and no water. Just a microwave and an old small fridge that wasn't even on when we got there. Everywhere were extension cords lying around which was definitely a safety risk. One connector of the extension cord was attached where the headboard and base meet, 20 cm from the head pillow. If a short circuit should happen when one is sleeping, a person can get burns. Sleeping on the bed was also a nightmare. It was an old mattress that had been laid out. The day we left, we looked under the bed and what we saw was a shock. There were bricks under the bed - in the middle - to strengthen the bed and to keep the base level. It was no wonder that we had to sleep on the sides of the mattress to be able to sleep properly, The swimming pool shown on the internet page was also not as clean as desired
Very weak. Not at all clean bathroom that had to be shared with other guests which is not advertised clearly enough. Won't go there again at all. I suggest someone go see what's going on there so the database can be updated. You cannot pay the rate for that location. Didn't get the rooms that were booked either!
Kitchen facilities not up to standard. Grilling is broken. Old fridge that doesn't cool properly. Pool is lovely but doesn't look good. No sink in kitchen. No indoor parking although there are cameras. Other than that, it was nice and the kindness is appreciated.
More a family home than a guesthouse. A few doors could not lock and there was no hot water in the kitchenette. The manager was not present or reachable. We expected more for the location and the amount paid.
Three rooms share one bathroom without a separate toilet. It is advertised as a family unit with shared facilities, but that is not accurate. There were other guests who brought dogs and the dogs did their "business" around the pool. The pool is not blue at all as in the photo, and I suspect the paint is already weathering. The carpets are worn and do not create a good impression. My car was parked in the street next to the house and I was not comfortable with the safety of the car. General impression and experience not good
