It was an amazing destination, we will definitely go again. We would just have preferred the dubbel bed to be one and not 2 single beds against each other.

The suite was absolutely spotless. Closer to the sea you cannot stay. No problem with load shedding. Definitely back on my list.
The view over the campsite and the sea was breathtaking. Peaceful people. The beach is walking distance from where we camped. Very nice beach and the waves make you sleep well. The famous Enrico's restaurant is around the corner if you want to eat a little Italian. In one word, breathtaking.
We had a great time and relaxed. The bins and braai areas are cleaned every day and the staff were very friendly. We could go for a leisurely walk in the evening and feel safe.
Nice area, only the last few days the sea was rough. The staff assisted everyone during the storms and no days without power.
Lighting around stairs to ablution block poor during 27 April to 1 May. Stairs dangerous and poorly planned. Braai broken at allocated parking. Stands very small. Was there with "tented trailer", lovely Melkhoutboom takes up a quarter of the parking space, vehicle and buggy cannot stand together.
No power point available on plot 17, could see others have. Shower facilities were very dirty.
An amazing place. Views to die for, right on the beach. Accommodation in both studios and chalets are fantastic. The hosts thought of everything, from inverters with backup battery power, to warm water bottles for chilly evenings and Nespresso machine. They literally thought of everything. By far the best self-catering accommodation I have ever seen. Friendly faces with great service. Worth every cent. Go treat yourself, ArchRock Resort won't disappoint.
Very clean and spacious accommodation with a beautiful view over the ocean!! The kitchen was well equipped and if there was loadshedding you didn't have any trouble because there was back-up power so we were never without any power. You walk a few metres and then you are on the beach, which was very quiet. we've walked to the Arch Rock which was very nice!! We recommend this place!

Wonderful accommodation on an unspoilt coastal strip with many attractions in the surrounding area.
Our weekend there was endlessly enjoyable. Would love to go again in December holiday 2022 to visit longer. And to show our other 2 children how wonderful it is there.
The accommodation was perfect for two people - the sea view with dolphins that swam by daily as well as a whale with calf directly behind the rocks was an exceptional experience. One can really relax here - long open beaches and safe surroundings are a winner.
The unit is the closest to the beach as can be. Amazing unit with everything we needed. Provided we win the Lotto, we will definitely be back!

The unit is located opposite the sea and if you turn around you are staring into the native bush. So close to nature! There is a nice swimming beach between the rocks and a delicious restaurant.
Place exceeded our expectations. The lockdown prevented us from going to the beach but with the sea view from the veranda it was not necessary. The porch is nice and private and the apartment has everything you need, from a beach umbrella to chairs you can sit on the beach with. We will definitely stay there again.

The unit (Melkhout) has good quality kitchen utensils. Knives, forks, plates etc are the best I've seen at self-catering accommodation. What I did lack at a 4 star place is a bigger fridge, or at least a separate bar fridge or wine cooler. If you stay for 6 days and with 6 people you need storage space. We had to live out of cool boxes with ice packs that we changed every day to keep everything cool. That fridge is enough for 2 people alone. Hooks for dish towels are needed, had to hang them over cabinet handles in kitchen and they don't dry like that. Towels were only changed on day 5 (day before we left).
There is almost no sun that can make rooms a little warmer, and with the cold floors it feels even colder. Laundry doesn't want to dry - you probably have to get used to it, but not on vacation, time is too short.
We were booked in a suite. Bathroom not at all like on internet photos. But that wasn't the worst. The noise of the water pipes when the guests in the suite above us used water was deafening. I went to complain and they moved us to the chalet. Which was everything we expected. Very private. Quiet. Beautiful and neat.
Unit well equipped, missed barrel patches. Grill for Weber grill was not clean. Had to arrange to have braai cleaned every morning. Linen was good quality.
Good location and neat but lacking personal touch/atmosphere and check-in was rather complex. No grill either, just Weber.
Excited to celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime 50th birthday, we made the reservation. Our unit had water damage and furnace did not work and bedding was stained and dirty. When reported, we were informed staff had their own water damage and could not help. We were initially compensated with a few bags of soaking wet wood. The next morning we had to move everything to another unit. No water damage, but once again a non-functioning furnace. We then made the best of a bad situation and asked to vacate just a few minutes later only to be told both units with all their problems were already booked. How do you put someone else in with this knowledge.
Unit was clean and tidy with a beautiful sea view.
We really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. I'm not someone who loves a Weber, but not even that could spoil the stay and sea view. I do have one suggestion to Archrock. If you book people in the luxury suites, of which there are 4 suites, and there are only 2 couples there at the same time, try to book them next to each other, or diagonally away from each other. Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed it. The sound of the waves was absolutely soul food. Hope to visit you again!
We only stayed for 3 nights but it should have been longer. The units are newly finished and positioned right on the beach. I suggest a long stay as it is an amazing spot.

One could not get a better location if you love being by the sea, one almost feels as if you are on a ship on the sea. The views with the rocks and sea are magnificent especially at night with the full moon and clear sky.
The location is excellent, stoepie can be cool in winter but must be nice in summer times. Very neat.
Just far enough from Plettenberg Bay to be peaceful. We saw a beautiful display of a large school of dolphins. Will definitely come and camp here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is very close to the beach and the amazing restaurant Enrico's (both 1 minutes walk). The sites and ablutions were clean, the other campers was friendly, and the staff very helpful. It's a very small campsite (roughly 15 sites), which makes it quiet and peaceful. Just take note: The closest shop is 10 minutes away in Plettenbergbaai. Also, the power points few and are quite scattered. We stayed on site number 11 and required a 15 m power lead to get power at our camp form another site's power box. All in all it was an amazing stay and I would love to go again!
Everything was well organized. The place was very neat and exactly what we wanted. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

The beach was so close, you could almost touch it from every room in the cottage. The sound of the waves was unreal. The cottage was clean, spacious and had everything needed for a great care-free stay. Have already booked for next year. The perfect time place for the soul to rejuvenate.
We stayed in one of the luxury units and what a privilege it was. You cannot accept nature and view better. Places like this, if any, are not available much in our country and I will definitely go back to Arch Rock Resort again. The surroundings ensure that you are actually away from it all and that you are in your own paradise, but there are also so many places to visit in the area. I love the sea and packed heavily at the end of our week. Beautiful.

Arch Rock is one of the best destinations I have chosen. Very quiet and family oriented. Literally by the beach, with the most beautiful hiking trails. Sorry their campsite is not available over December.
It was really one of the best places I've ever stayed. The beach was beautiful. The place itself was also beautiful and clean. Will definitely recommend it. I will also definitely stay there again if I'm in that neck of the woods in the future.
A nice, relaxing getaway at the beach, couldn't ask for better.
The entire unit is beautifully designed. The beautiful floor tiles, the spacious bathroom, the narrow upper window at the back with a view of the woods, the large corner windows, the porch with its braai, the oneness with the sea, all packed into one package, that's what you gain! And then you just walk around the corner to Enrico restaurant which is great in its own right! All we can recommend is that there could have been a big shower instead. Even if one tries, there is still water that splashes out from the bath shower and does not get out as conveniently as from a shower.
