Had a great stay. The facilities are very neat and well maintained. The surroundings are very peaceful and it is the ideal place for a quiet family weekend. Even though the power is down due to loadshedding, the free WiFi remains on. The units are very quiet and private.
The cottages are perched high up on a ridge with stunning views of bits of Loskopdam and the surrounding hills. The main house has a pool and several seating areas that are great for viewing the sunset over the dam. The pictures make it seem as if each cottage has a full dam view - this is not the case, but it doesn't detract from the atmosphere overall. Sonia is a lovely host, very warm and friendly. The cottages are not luxurious but have everything you need. The outside shower is a huge bonus!

On Friday when we arrived we had a nice rain. The scenery is straight out of the books. The sunset over the pond is like a pot of gold. The cabins are very neat, clean and comfortable. Our visit was only for two nights but at the end of the weekend it felt like you rested for a whole week. Thank you Nic and Sonia for the friendly reception and your care. We enjoyed it so much. Will definitely visit again.
Fantastic view of Loskop Dam with the most beautiful sunrise and breathtaking sunset.
The log cabin is neat and clean, the owners were very friendly and hospitable, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
There isn't really anything to keep teenagers busy.
The moment you walk up to the cabin it feels like a welcoming hug. It's beautiful and quiet, very clean and with amazing owners. 100% going back for a longer visit and would recommend to all my friends.
Can walk around safely and also hang out at the top, the mountain view is nice there and the place clean and will go back again for a weekend.
Houthuis is very neat but gets very hot. Floors rattle and everyone hears and feels when you walk around, but it's acceptable. Beds comfortable. Owners very pleasant. Grill is not sheltered, so if the wind blows or it rains you can't really grill. Of course it's like that for the view, but if the wind picks up in the late afternoon it quickly becomes unpleasant outside. View is nice, but one can see little of the dam. Mountains are very beautiful. There really is nothing to do, but that's what one is looking for to rest. We had a nice time. If it is loadshedding, then there is neither water nor signal, unfortunately.
We stayed in Viserand. Check in was handled well, the entrance is just hard to see in the evening if you don't know where to look. The road up the mountain is a little steep, but it is in good condition. The cottage has everything you need for a weekend. There is a gas stove so load shedding and cooking is not a big problem. The bedding is clean and the beds comfortable. Just bring extra blankets in the winter because there is only a blanket on the bed and one light blanket in the closet. The braai place is very well equipped and you can see thousands of stars while you sit and braai. Just note that the cottage only has a bath in the bathroom so you have to shower in the outdoor shower, which can get a little cold in the winter. We had a great time and the two sausages who came to get acquainted were a bonus.
The log house is fully equipped! Problems include telephone etiquette from owner, completed form at other venue, only one warm blanket per room, misperception regarding wood provided and that costs are summarily recovered from deposit. No inventory list so we are anxiously waiting to see what else is deducted from deposit. Peaceful environment!

What a wonderful long weekend in complete peace and quiet.
We enjoyed the weekend, the accommodation was great and everything was clean, with everything you need. The owner went out of her way to ensure we got wood and ice without having to drive to the shops ourselves! So we also want to thank you for the special permission. I even enjoyed the path up the mountain. The forest shower is absolutely cool and was perfect for me as the tub is definitely not big people friendly. If I can recommend anything, it would be that you will be able to turn off the large moonlight right in front of the veranda at night, it spoils your night vision ever so slightly when you just want to gaze into the mountains and experience the night.
Would love to visit there longer next time.
Sonia and Nic were wonderful hosts. Whilst there was a localised water-shortage/drought that affected the area we were largely unaffected. The views (especially at sunset) are quite spectacular.

Beautiful sunsets and view of stars at night. Outdoor shower is spacious and affords a view over the trees while showering. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
There are only three chalets, but located on the summit of the mountain. Neatly maintained and the chalet is clean and practically laid out. The area around the chalet is nicely laid out and the braai area comfortable. No TV, so very relaxing if you want to get away from the everyday, ideal. Low suspension vehicle should preferably not hit the mountain road, steep but not insurmountable with a regular sedan car. Recommended, with good friendly hosts.
Als was right and as it should be. Was very very hot especially during the night so suggest maybe replacing roof fans with aircons.
A pristine en special place to spend the night, but a poor show by our host Sonja spoiled the party. Had to wait in front of a locked gate for her to arrive from somewhere. She claimed she was not expecting us and blamed the website. Yet the website reconfirmed the booking to all parties concerned the day before. Sonja also suggested we slipped up by having failed to complete two forms we knew nothing about. And it took her a good 10 minutes to find the key to our cabin. Not exactly a show of hospitality.
The location is at the best place.

Cute place with very friendly hostess! Beautiful views! Their new restaurant's pizzas are the best under the Loskop sun! The children's meals are enough for adults and had some more on the way home the next day! Will definitely want to go again!

It was a very pleasant stay - lovely, well-equipped wooden chalet on the very top of the mountain overlooking the dam. The access is not suitable for sedan cars. It was only an overnight stop for us but would be lovely to spend a couple of days there. Hosts were very welcoming - would definitely recommend.

The accommodation is well located, beautiful surroundings and well managed and maintained. There is a lot to do in the area and the owners are on site and very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the positioning of the units which does not make optimal use of the wonderful views.
