Wonderful place with peaceful atmosphere and clean and tidy.
Arendsnes is well located close to the river but still feels like you are in the woods. It is very comfortable and has everything you need.
Thank you for a lovely weekend. The location is near the river, you can hear the manatees from the river. Everything you need is there. From indoor braai to a boma/outdoor braai with camping chairs too. Sent all the details through and helped where needed. Will recommend for sure.

Gorgeous location and house, Secericon in the area were also spectacular as we had a medical emergency and they were extremely helpful and friendly.
The place is very nice. It is very peaceful and quiet, and the hostess was very helpful. There is basically everything you need. Another thing, the rules: I understand all the rules, but all the rules make you feel like you have to be careful using something or that you're going to do something wrong. Like I say, I understand why there are rules, but they're not always fun either. One example, at the sink in the kitchen there is a rule that if you don't wash the dishes, a fine of R250 is charged, and if you don't throw away the dirt, a fine of R150. I think it's a bit ridiculous. Cleaning services are normally included in your total accommodation costs. Throwing away your rubbish is also not convenient, there is no place to throw it away at home. You have to take it with you when you go out and throw it in the main garbage dump, which I don't agree with either. I'm not complaining at all, I'm just saying. But apart from that, we really enjoyed it and really enjoyed our stay there.
We had a wonderful stay in Arendsnes. Ideal location. Well equipped.
Had a nice stay. We understand the function of the partitions which are for privacy, but they obstruct the view. Kitchen was just very hot. Freestanding fan not very effective.
What a fantastic place it was. Arendsnes was so clean when we walked in there. Everything was neat, tidy. Terribly neat. What we needed was there! I especially liked our wardrobe and kitchen cupboard (from then until now)! You really made our whole year. There had been many animals, bought a whole 40 kg from Marlothp's cooperative. Animals have everything. We had such a good time and all the animals that arrived there also enjoyed us so much. Thank you for an unforgettable week.
Well-equipped cottage for two people. Close to the Crocodile River which offers the opportunity to see waterfowl and watch animals that come to drink water.

Space outside by campfire is very nice. Shower floor is particularly slippery, one must hold tight to arrangements.

From the time I booked Arendsnes, to the day we left, Matilda was in constant contact with me about the ins and outs of her cottage and Marloth Park. What a stunning well-equipped place we arrived at. Everything that we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay was supplied including visits from all the animals. We saw more at our cottage than we did in the Kruger Park. We tried a couple of restaurants but mostly spent our time doing a braai or a potjie around the fire. Would definitely recommend Arendsnes to anyone and will definitely make use of it again.
I think the positives outweigh the negatives, but I'm not going to tell you if it's positive or negative. I'll just make a few observations and then you can decide for yourself depending on what you're looking for in a getaway. Indoor and outdoor braai facilities. Limited kitchen counter work areas. Wifi and air conditioning if you feel like relaxing at home. Good linen. All the stars given before I got to the description. Nearby houses most of the time under eyes. Within earshot of the house to the west's braai area and swimming pool. Nearby house's "floodlight" partially illuminates your braai area. Don't expect to be able to sit outside and muse in the woods and get lost in your thoughts, instead walk down the boundary wire and find a quiet bench. Walking distance from boundary wire and couches overlooking KNP.
Perfect for two people. The house is well equipped and has everything you need for a great holiday. A splash pool would be ideal.
What particularly impressed me is that the grills are in good condition and clean, just ready for use.
Arendnes' location in relation to the Crocodile River and Kruger National Park are perfect. Rates are reasonable compared to the Kruger National Park. Arendsnes is fully equipped for any visitor.
Rain made roads in Marloth Park treacherous. It was scary and I had lucky lucky escape even in my All Wheel drive car. Heat in accommodation even at night in the rain was unbearable. The air conditioning did not help. The kitchen dining room was so hot even at night. I think the excrssive heat inside was caused by the tin roof in an already hot and humid environment.
The cottage is very neat and clean. Will definitely go there again. Thank you Mathilda for your hospitality.
The unit is very neat and clean and just big enough. Everything you need is there. The animals came to visit often and the cute cats came late afternoon/evening for their treats. Very close to the river and the couch to just relax and appreciate the work of God's hands. Thanks Matilda for everything - I will definitely book again, sooner rather than later.
Do yourself a favor and book any of Matilda's places, Arendsnes or Meerkatgat. You will not regret it!

Matilda's places, both Meerkatgat and Arendsnes, remain a winner, our first time in Arendsnes and it was lovely, very neat and clean, comfortable for 2 people, more than enough animals and the night monkeys come to visit every night, it's nice near the river. Can't fault it, excellent accommodation.
It was a lovely place to work from, very neat and quiet.
Lovely, short stay near Kruger. Very nice room and bathroom. Criticism will be that the forest experience of Marlothpark is lost a bit and the process of getting and returning the keys is quite lengthy.
The place is awesome, we had a great time.
