Arendsnes is definitely not a resort. Single caravan pitch. Would not recommend for families with children. Great for anglers.

Wrong information on the web page where they say you can fish on the river, can't fish at all only flyfishing, please. can you fix it because that is the reason why there wanted to be fishing. Furthermore, a very nice place to just relax.
Arendsnes is perfect for if you're looking for a place to sleep quickly and drive on. Not at all equipped or comfortable enough for more than a day and evening, although the location is very nice.
We had a very nice and peaceful stay. All the amenities were there. They definitely see us again.

The children and I wanted to take a break after the death of my husband. We couldn't ask for a better place. The house was clean, service was great and the whole resort was well taken care of. We will definitely visit there again.

The venue is well suited to fly fishermen and had a lovely clean swimming pool.
The place is peaceful in atmosphere and feels welcome upon arrival. The place is clean in all areas. My only complaint is that the site is not well lit at all in the evening, although one still feels safe. My suggestion is a small solar panel for lighting in streets etc.
I am a camper and used to camp with the minimum luxuries, but at least with the necessary equipment / necessities. At least, I expect that there will be sharp knives, steak knives, glasses, serving spoons, casserole and braai tongs (also for hot coals). The visitors need to be informed in a way what to expect, so that the simplicity of the place does not catch you unexpectedly.

Arendnes is well cared for and tidy.
The stay was not what I expected. There were not enough utensils. No cleaning services. A R200 deposit was asked and if the dishes were washed and the place was clean, then we got it back. No outside light so we could sit outside in the evening. Had to go buy my own light. No barbecue at the chalet, it is across the street. Had to go and buy my own braai. No lawn in front of the chalet for my animals. Had to take the animals to a suitable lawn all the time. Had to throw out blankets for my animals when we were sitting at the chalet. The TV was not what was expected. It is an OpenView that only has the basic SABC programs with others that we did not know. The more expensive chalets we took are all stuck together which we and our neighbors placed 2 meters from each other without canopies or umbrellas. No decent parking. Finally, if we had seen the place from outside, then we would not have taken it.
