Very friendly hostess and a neat place. Will definitely stay there again.
Very nice stay.
Location perfect and clean and tidy.
Had a wonderful stay. It's a fantastic place to sleep. We were kindly received by the owner.
Thank you very much for a lovely 2 night stay. Friendly hostess and beautiful place with everything needed to relax, even for longer than just overnight.
Very friendly host, well situated with a user-friendly indoor braai area. Very well stocked for a 2 or 3-day stay over.
Neat place with everything you need. The owners are very helpful and friendly.
Nice people, they made an effort to make our stay better. We had a good time and enjoyed the beauty of the flowers.
Very nice stay at Arendsnest.
Had a wonderful stay. Clean and tidy and the room was beautiful.
Very nice, thank you, and always great to chat with Andrinette.
Short time was very good. Hostess very friendly and hospitable.
Comfortable, neat and well equipped.
Perfect. Suited our holiday.
Yes, had a great stay.
Great place to sleep over. Clean and comfortable, and the hosts were lovely!
Got there late from Luderitz, but we slept well.
Everything was very nice and we especially enjoyed the dog.
We stayed in Goue Arend, which was ideal for a family of 4. We would definitely stay here again. They provided a small gas tank stove for us to use during loadshedding. The lounge, kitchen, and dining area are spacious. There is a fridge/freezer and hob stove, and cutlery and crockery are provided. The apartment has 2 bedrooms: one with 2 single beds and a sink, and the main bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, bathtub, and sink. Outside, there are 2 friendly small dogs named Bella and Cody. The location is good, with Checkers just a 2-minute drive away. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, and there is a coffee shop within walking distance. It is also centrally located for traveling to Geogap Reserve and Kamieskroon, as well as the Namaqualand National Park to view the Namaqualand flowers. The only drawback is that you have to go through the main bedroom to use the bathroom since it is en-suite.
Hostess pleasant, accommodating and friendly. Go the extra mile for guests. Will definitely stay there again.
Hostess received us personally and very friendly and helpful. Very neat place and had a great stay. Also very centrally located and very close to shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
The hostess was very friendly and the place was very nice and clean. We only stayed one night because we were traveling, but received good service and slept well.
We stayed in Goue Arend. It's a comfortable place to visit, but not for 4 elderly adults because several stairs and access to the bathroom only through the master bedroom.
Well furnished and everything is there that is needed.
Friendly owners who were willing to oblige with a braai stand when there was unexpected electricity outage.
Well located. Very neat and clean and very good hostess.
Nice place and nice rooms.
My second time there would definitely recommend them to anyone who might be considering spending the night in Springbok.
What a beautiful, spacious place. Beautifully clean and tidy. We had a great stay!
It was very pleasant to stay at Arendsnest and the customer service was excellent. I can recommend it to anyone.
Andrinette received us very kindly late at night and made sure we had everything we needed. We left early again. She also delivered my child's slippers that she forgot there to me when we were on our way back. We slept very well.
Everything was excellent. From the arrangements to accommodation and amenities. Andrinette and Micheal were fantastic.
We were very warmly received and the two houses we stayed in were very neat and clean. However, there was a water problem that the owners couldn't help with (pipe burst), but they were kind enough to fill us with quite a few 5L water bottles before we got there so that we could at least get through to water was on again. They also put in some light bulbs for us with load shedding (thanks Eskom) which at least give us light when the power is off. They were so friendly and I would definitely recommend Arendsnest.
Neat and centrally located. Friendly reception.
The hostess was surprised that we were accompanied by our two small Yorkies. I always stipulate this when making a booking.
The enamel sink in a simple brick and cement counter was very cute to me. Hospitality and friendly welcome and farewell. Unfortunately, load shedding wasn't on our side and the WiFi stayed down, but we can't complain about anything. Parking is in front of the apartment, with no lockable gate. For us from the city, it is quite something strange! Bella, the dog, came to welcome us to our car and led me to where I got the key. We had a great time and next time I want to climb the klipkoppie behind the house!
Main bedroom needs a source of fresh air.
The unit was spotless and very tidy. Really very nicely furnished and everything you need is there. The hostess also went out of her way to help us. Cool people!
We could enjoy the tranquility and it is ideal for an overnight stay. Owners are top notch, friendly and professional.
Would just like separate bathroom facilities for 2 ladies who slept in separate room and have to walk through master bedroom to access bathroom.
Good friendly reception, slightly more expensive than similar places to stay. Very helpful, all facilities needed, tidy, excellent location.
Parking not sufficient. Safety of vehicle unrest.
Received a call from the owner, "they had to clean up after we left". Would rather not inconvenience them again.
The service is good and friendly. Neat rooms. Would really recommend. The view is just as beautiful.
We have stayed here several times. It's a convenient overnight stop between Namibia and the Cape and very reasonable.
I enjoyed my stay here, the owners are such kind people with the warmest reception. Their hospitality is top tier.
After a very bad experience, it was great to settle down for the evening with people who know how to handle their guests.
Nicely arranged. No noise. Neat, clean. Close to everything.
Very spacious and neat.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was neat, clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend!
Stayed quietly against the hill. Nice to go for a walk.
Neat place and friendly people!
Host and hostess very friendly! However, pictures on web page offered more than reality, for example. Two rooms with double bed. One room had 2 single beds, pool? etc. Unit's bathroom through bedroom, and that bedroom had no window. Otherwise unit was very clean and tidy!
Group of 5 people had to share 1 bathroom, which is accessible from the master bedroom. Place could do with some renovation. We have e.g. found a much better place on Dwarskersbos for R200 less per night on the same weekend.
Enough mirrors but no power plug for hairdryer. Kitchen sink with long crack but apparently glued. Sliding door at entrance needs maintenance (difficult to slide). Braaier's bottom is rusted with holes. Largest hole stopped with stone. Otherwise it is a pleasant and spacious place to stay.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. However, what a disappointment the Goue Arend unit was. No milk or water in the fridge, old, cheap coffee granules in a tin. There was nothing in this unit that made us feel welcome. Old, dark, creepy and primitive with dusty carpets and furniture that has seen better days. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with only the bare necessities. The plugs looked dangerous, and not all of them worked. The main bedroom has no window and everyone must walk through it to go to the bathroom. Four steep steps lead to the main bedroom, which are definitely not for the elderly or small children. We struggled to find the light switches which are so old, you have to pull a string to switch on the lights. The garden is a disgrace, and very neglected. If I could, I would have given this place a zero.
Bathroom not practically located especially if there are 4 people staying.
After we had arranged with the hostess that we would not spend the night on specific dates and that we would inform her when we would spend the night on arrival at the guest house, we had to learn that we had lost our deposit and then had to pay the full amount again.
It as very nice, pleasant place.
As mentioned, a mop, as well as a toaster, just something quick to eat, before you hit the long road again. The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Arendsnest anytime.
Very nice. People are friendly. Most beautiful dogs!!! Even though it was only 1 night, our visit was very nice
Very friendly and helpful owners.
See stars.
The area is very safe and quiet and gives a good view. It is also nice and private with good service from owners.
Excellent service. Friendly staff. Room is neat. Would definitely come again.
Very friendly owners. The lady who received us immediately made us feel at home. Place very neat, clean and spacious for movement. Owners went to extra lengths to get us an extra fan and baby bath.
Owner very friendly and place was nice and clean.
I would stay there again anytime.
Nice stay, clean, spacious and peaceful. Would stay there again.
It was bitterly cold in Springbok and although there was an electric blanket and duvet Andrinette made an effort with extra blankets which really helped a lot. What would be nice is another bedside table/table next to the bed to put down glasses, phone and water glass. I had to put it on the floor.
It's really a place where you can relax and kick off your shoes. Feeling like coming home to family. Thank you very much for all the effort, conversations and kindness. And of course the dogs were also a highlight, too dear. Like owners. Will be able to recommend for sure
Lots of stairs in the unit. Only bathroom is in the master bedroom, which makes it difficult for the guests of the second room to use it during the night.
We could go for a walk in the hill and explore Springbok. Slept well.
The place and people are very hospitable. It was just that we booked a room with 2 single beds because it was 2 men. They then gave a room with a double bed and the one man had to sleep on a couch.
Stairs to the bathroom and stairs to the sleeping area with a sliding door ridge are dangerous for older people. The security door at the front entrance is just a frame that can be pulled open by a child, Shower's bottom is soapy. Don't want to continue because there are still many irritations.
The accommodation was poor and there were a few things that were not in place. I would not advise any person to drive that far and get such a poor place.
Incredibly hospitable! Precious people and a precious pooch who climbed the koppie behind the house with us! From this height Springbok is a beautiful place with lovely people!
Second time we spend the night here. It's neat, clean, with no frills, and like typical African people we stood on the pavement and visited before we finally drove off.
Very pleasant owners. Nice visit for 1 evening. Clean and tidy, would definitely recommend.
Our overnight stay at Arendsnest was greeted by Annie and Michael, owners, who go out of their way to make their guests feel as comfortable and convenient as possible. Thank you, we will definitely book with you again.
Friendliest people, lovely place, spacious and well equipped! Will definitely stay there again.
The accommodation was very comfortable and a pleasure to use. We would definitely choose this place again. For a self catering unit it went beyond our expectations.
Arendsnest is the perfect place to sleep after a long day on the road. We were welcomed with open arms and enjoyed the beautiful view as we threw some meat on the coals. Mike and Andrinette made sure we had everything we needed, and provided lots of great information to further facilitate our trip. We would recommend Arendsnest for sure!
It was a peaceful stay. The owners were friendly and more than helpful. My expectations were met. I advise anyone to go there. Wonderful!
We had a very nice stay and rest at Arendsnest.
Friendly welcome. Animal friendly.
Received friendly and very helpful service from the owners. We wanted to see the surroundings and they were willing to share information about this with us and give their opinion. It helped a lot in making the best decisions to make the most of our time on the West Coast/Richtersveld. No knowledge is as valuable as that of the people who live in the area. The unit is well furnished, the space is very well used. Will stay here again when we are in the Springbok area.
Very nice stay. Secure parking. Clean place. Just right if you want to stay overnight.
We had a great overnight stay. It's very basic for self-catering if you want to stay longer, but for one night it's perfect. The owners is very hospitable and Bella beautiful. Would definitely recommend it.
Very friendly owner, good quality furniture. An air-conditioner would have helped, but there is a fan. The room had afternoon sun and was thus very hot in the early evening. Furthermore - an excellent room.
Clean, tidy and well located.
Friendly service, accommodating. It is well recommended.
Adrendsnest is a good place to stay. The hostess, Andrinette, and lovely Bella always make you feel at home. The dinner and breakfast (that you have to order) were tasty.
We had a lovely stay. Just wasn't prepared for the uneven kitchen floor. It feels like you're constantly being pushed back to the sink, otherwise no complaints. The hostess is an excellent hostess and baker. Mosbolletjie bread is fantastic. With Bella sleeping in front of our place, we felt extra safe. Wish I could have paid more attention to her too, she is very sweet, loving and just always wants to play.
My wife and I stayed at Arendsnest. We received a warm welcome and everything was in place. Very good destination for any person going through Springbok.
I enjoyed my stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend.
We had a great time staying here. The owners made us feel very much at home and did not hesitate to help us with what we needed. The place is ideal for an overnight stay, very clean and well maintained.
Neat and clean. The most friendly host and hostess. They feel like old friends. After our interest in their plants, we were provided with cuttings to take home. Nice stay.
The unit where we stayed was very neat, clean and had everything at our disposal. I was only disappointed because the unit was next to the owner's house and you didn't have total privacy and we were afraid we would disturb the owners. We were quite disappointed because the advertisement on the internet (photos) does not match the unit we stayed in. The units advertised are separate on the other side of the house. Nevertheless, we remained calm.
Nice, clean, friendly an accommodating.
Arendsnest is easily accessible in Springbok, actually on the main route at the beginning of town. Arendsnest has new owners who will continue to improve and upgrade the accommodation. Our room lay directly in the afternoon sun and was bloody hot with no air conditioning. There was a ceiling fan which made it bearable at night. The hot water faucet did not give any hot water, it was a little warmer than the cold water. The room had 2 single beds which is reasonable for the price we paid. We paid less than half in Springbok what we would have paid in Garies. That's why I think Arendsnest is definitely worth the effort and value for money.
Very neat. Easy to reach. Friendly environment. Fully equipped. Safe area.
We enjoyed Arendsnest very much. Will go again.
Had a great stay in Springbok.
Pleasant surroundings and central for flower viewing.
Neat and clean, kitchen very small, uncomfortable for self catering unit. No security available if vehicle is loaded.
The stay here was not what I expected. We were in the section under the house. The photos create a different expectation. The place needs a lot of attention.
The entrance to the accommodation was not clean. Owners' stuff lying around. Fridge does not close properly - has to use hands and feet to close. Everyone has to pass through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom.
Large pool that has caved in that is not secured.
I see they are building other new rooms, but I definitely stayed in a very old room that needs a lot of attention.
The lady had advised that we had not gotten back to her to confirm if out guys will be staying there as we had requested for extension to make the payment for our guys to stay here. The lady then quick had to make provision for my guys to stay there and had to share a room as they were not accounted for to be at the B+B. I am disgusted about the level of service even thou they had been given a room to stay.
Was kindly received by Michael and Andrinette. The place was so cute and had a great barbecue. We enjoyed it very much. Will stay there again.
Everything was neat and clean and we didn't need anything more for our overnight stay. Great experience, we would be happy to recommend it.
Michael and Andrienet are great!! Very friendly and helpful. Andrienet served us the most delicious dinner and breakfast. Thank you very much Michael for your help with our luggage. We will definitely visit Arendsnest again.
We had a great stay. The people were super friendly. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed.
We found the place clean and neat and the owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Very warm welcome and the place is neat and clean. Would definitely recommend. Asked if we are comfortable and told if we lack anything. Very safe to live there and Wagter looked after us. Not feeling unsafe at all.
Arendsnest was such a cosy place to stay. I loved the friendliness of Andrinette and her angel, Bella, that always welcomed me when she saw me.
Unfortunately stayed there for one day but we were very impressed with the beautiful and well-equipped accommodation. The owners are very pleasant and helpful people. It is a safe place that is easily accessible and is definitely on our list again.
My accommodation in Springbok was very pleasant and the hospitality I received from Helen was wonderful. Will definitely recommend it.
All the basic amenities for a pleasant stay. The hostess really made us feel at home. If I can make a recommendation: try to clean up the immediate area by removing unnecessary items (eg the used wooden pallets near the front door).
We toured the Northern Cape with 3 dogs without any fixed plans and then had to quickly try to find accommodation in Springbok. They were able to help us at short notice and also had no problem with 3 dogs. Very nice clean and perfect for a night's sleepover.
The accommodation met all our needs, we enjoyed it very much. It was cost effective and value for money. We will recommend Arendsnest to friends and family.
Bitterly quiet and peaceful environment, friendliest host and hostess. Nicely rested and visited. Would definitely recommend Arendsnest.
I will definitely stay there again on my next work trip!
Very nice people, cute dog helping you to climb the mountain. Very beautiful place, very creative. Will go back.
Safe place to sleep over. Will definitely return. Friendly staff.
Beautiful home with lovely people. Town very nice and enough shops. Mountain ranges just as beautiful. Thank you.
We spent the night at Springbok as a just-past half-way point on our way back to the Cape. All the things that are important to your wife are covered: the bed linen is clean and smells good, the bathroom is clean, and there is a kettle and microwave oven and so on. A loving dog entertains the children, and dinner and breakfast are served on request. We opted to take the kids to Spur (it's fairly new) that night instead, but we ordered breakfast and it was delicious.
Very comfortable and neat accommodation. My husband and I and our four grandchildren (between 14 and 17) was on our way to the Kgalagadi to go camping and needed economic, but neat, comfortable and warm accommodation. We couldn't have made a better choice. Friendly people and nice accommodation.
We didn't arrive until after dark and were received by Andrinette and her lovely dog. We booked the smaller room, but because we were the only guests she gave us the bigger room which we really appreciated. We slept comfortably and warm (even though it was very cold outside) and were always treated kindly.
Eagle's Nest was perfect. The reception was so warm and friendly we immediately felt at home. The units were clean and tidy. The pool was out of order, but we hope it will be OK next time. Only thing that would be welcome would be an iron. Bella the dog is the cutest!
The flat has antique furniture. It's beautiful. Flat is on the outskirts and it's very quiet. We were a bit worried about the safety, because there isn't any burglar bars and our car was basically parked on the street. Andrinette ensured us that is was safe, and it was. Probably just our city paranoia.
Reception and service was great and really appreciated. Would definitely consider staying there again should I visit Springbok again.
We were warmly welcomed by the owners. There was even a surprise slice of tart in the fridge! They provided us with great information about the route. We stayed in a quiet area.
Owners are amazing - we were early and they went out of their way to finish as soon as possible. Was very neat. We slept very well - thank you!
Great reception and costless upgrade to a bigger room, thank you.
See rating.
We were received kindly and the room is tidy. However, it is not suitable for a couple. It's small with 2 cots standing head to toe with only a walking space in between. Keep the room for a single person, then there is nothing wrong with that. So I would recommend Arendsnest but not for a couple. The electric blankets were lovely.
From the outside, the accommodation doesn't look great, but the main bedroom where my wife and I slept was very neat and well-equipped. The other room is uncomfortable because there is no bathroom/toilet door. The one bed looks directly onto the toilet which is bad for two grown people. However, it remains good value for a night's sleep. Andrinette is very warm and treated us very kindly. In addition, her husband followed us the following morning with something we forgot there.
Very nice place for a stopover, affordable. Had all the facilities. Hostess very pleasant and hospitable, just as I know the people of Namaqualand to be.
Very clean and tidy, quiet and peaceful environment, friendly and helpful.
The first impression isn't great because of what it looks like outside. But the units are clean and neat, affordable and pleasant to overnight in. Good quality amenities, linen, etc. Pleasant, friendly and sincere owners. Will stay there again.
I would prefer at least a TV to be available. The kitchenette does not have facilities for hanging drying cloths and dishcloths. I would also prefer the shower to have a shelf where soap and shampoo can be kept at hand. The place was very neat and the hostess was very friendly and helpful, even called me when I forgot my pack of clothes there.
Sien sterre.
Friendly reception and clean room, but uncomfortable and cold. It is still new so there is room for improvement.
The first one we booked was very small, but luckily the bigger one was available and we moved there for a few rand extra. The basic amenities were there.
Neat, clean, friendly.
Arendsnest was ongelooflik. One het ons baie geniet om daar te bly tydens ons vakansie en sal Arendsnest aan almal voorstel as eerste en beste keuse.
Our host and hostess were warm friendly genuine people. It felt more like visiting with good friends than strangers. We have nothing to complain about, we wouldn't have it any other way.
I definitely recommend it.
The charming host and hostess received us very warmly and made us feel at home. We had a great time hanging out and chatting and hanging out again. They also went out of their way to be helpful with information about an extensive travel program. For the exploratory traveler, Arendsnest offers much more than just cozy and friendly accommodation. We would love to visit there again.
Was warmly welcomed by Andrinette and she immediately made us feel at home. The place was fully furnished and the braai area was a winner. Would recommend the place to any person who wants to explore the Springbok area.
Great, great, great, you will definitely see me there again when we travel through Springbok. Thank you very much, we slept well and had a good time.
Although we arrived late in the evening, as well as one day early, we were warmly welcomed with great understanding. However, we only stayed overnight for a few hours and left early the next morning. Although I did not have the opportunity to judge Arendsnest's services, I would like to take the liberty to recommend this guest house based on my observation. Although we felt safe, our vehicle could not be parked inside a fenced area, which meant we had to unload our valuable luggage like cameras and computers. However, sincere appreciation to the owner that she has accommodated us so kindly, despite our booking being for a day later!
Nice, comfortable accommodation!
Springbok pleasantly surprised me. I would recommend Arendsnest anytime. Thank you, Andrinette!
The place is nicely appointed and quiet.
Friendly and helpful reception from owner. Neatly appointed.
Andrinette and Michael are incredibly welcoming, making Arendsnest a lovely, restful and convenient little spot to stay over at! The room was neat and complete with all the comforts necessary. Thank you for having us!
Even though we didn't see any flowers the delicious home-made chicken pie and pumpkin fritters were delish. Dinner at Arendsnes is highly recommended after a long day on the road.
Arendsnest is a comfortable unit and the owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice braai room where we had a great time. Can recommend.
Very nice to be able to stay there at an affordable price.
Nobody was able to help us find the place. Nowhere in Jurie Kotze Street was any indication of a guesthouse, only in a side street. Also no answer to the contact number. I am very disappointed.
