Excellent meals further complement your visit, accompanied by friendly staff with a can-do attitude. This is a true South African gem which never disappoints.

Short stay but very pleasant.
Staff super friendly and accommodating. Only negative was the drive from CPT - after the stormy winter - roads not that great and a few Stop/Go's along the way mean one has to add on extra travel time.
How they initially allocated the room is a debatable point. Possibly better to communicate directly with the hotel in the future. On your App I chose a room according to the photos and expected to get it. When we arrived, we first had to explain, because we had been allocated a different room. This was rectified and we were able to enjoy the room of our choice. Toilet in the room leaked, hotel provided a towel as immediate correction of the problem could not be addressed without upsetting us. The breakfast was a huge plus and truly luxurious.

Had a wonderful stay, the room was beautiful and clean. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately the food was not good. I had the soup of the day. It was terribly bitter. The sushi was lukewarm. The prawn and chicken curry's rice was rock hard and the prawns were mealy. The portions of food are very small for the price you pay.

Was a lovely stay except for two things: 1. One of the rooms smelled so strongly of woodsmoke that we had to swap with one of our party who is a smoker and did not mind the smell. 2. I did not realise you cannot take a bath - probably a leftover from the days of the drought but it would have been nice. Great things to commend: 1. The lovely port in the rooms. 2. The lovely room temperature in the evenings taking the chill off. 3. Cleanliness. 4. Stunning views.
Pleasant stay - especially in the suite section!
Bad weather in area so had to stay in room most of the time. Play area more suitable for older children (we have a 21 month old). 11/10 for restaurant food. Basically room service was highlight as we could not enjoy anything else due to bad weather.

My husband and I visited the hotel for our wedding anniversary to just relax and wow, wasn't it a great relaxing weekend. The room was perfect. The bedding is spotless, the living room with the sea view was breathtaking with the cherry on the table was so special, the restaurant's food was out of the books and even the breakfast was absolutely great. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The evening visit from the staff just with a sweet dreams chocolate was so precious. You have outdone yourself. Will definitely be back again.

The hotel was everything we hoped for and more. Extra treats like chocolates on our pillows, dressing gowns in the bathroom and sherry before bed were all icing on the cake. We will definitely visit there again!

Our time there was wonderful. The road to Arniston can be flooded, so a bit of a problem during rainy times. The hotel called us in advance and informed us about it.

I couldn't believe that there was no hot water. When I reported it, it was expected that I should not bathe. I am very disappointed. I paid so much and had to walk far with my towel and clothes to take a bath in someone else's room. No sorry or anything. Really expected more from such expensive accommodation.

We had a lovey stay in a sea-facing room: it was dreamy. The beaches and walks are beautiful, and the water is warm! Everything is walking distance. It really is a good place to completely switch off. It was exceptionally clean and room-keeping did a great job every day. The amenities supplied are luxurious. We found the customer service to either be brilliant or awful, some of the staff are pretty unfriendly/rude. The breakfast is divine! The restaurants aren't cheap so be prepared to spend quite a bit more there. It is worth it though.

Comfortable room with balcony overlooking the sea. Rooms are just not soundproof with the doors connecting the rooms. It was unpleasant to hear the guests next door talking loudly on the phone until midnight. Also hear the room next door's TV so it's disturbing if you're trying to sleep.
Room walls were very dirty. Building needs renovation. Sherry was very bad. One night's food in outdoor restaurant was a disappointment (t-bone was sinewy).

Unfortunately, keeping quiet doesn't really benefit anyone, so I have to share this. We really didn't eat well on Monday night. My clams, and I never leave them, were raw and tasteless. Our appetizers looked like they just fell on the plate! Without further ado, that's how I can sum up the meal. I feel that a place like Arniston could really pay more attention to detail. It was our first bad experience there, but we feel we have to mention it. Breakfast was fantastic as always!

The years before when I first came here, I decided to come back one day and go to the Arniston Spa Hotel. It didn't really disappoint. The perfect place to just rest and forget about the outside world. The reception was very helpful and friendly. The staff in general's kindness really comes out of their hearts. It's palpable. Attention to detail border on five star.

I would like to bring one thing to your attention. We ordered the Springbok burger on Friday night. The patty was not tasty at all. I know venison and we both love it. The meat tasted like meat that had been contaminated with manure. It usually gives a bitter taste to meat, as well as its smell is very sharp. Having been hunting for years myself, I know this all too well. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who served us, who in turn mentioned it to the chef. Her feedback from the chef was, it's game, it should taste like that. I paid very heavily for the meal. Please see this as a positive comment. Let them contact the supplier of the Springbok burgers or take them off the menu, they will get many more complaints about this. Alternatively, feel free to eat yourself and taste.
Every year we make sure to spend at least one night in Arniston Spa Hotel. The tranquility of the bay enchants people. Everyone around you, staff, tourists etc. is calm and friendly. Beautiful view. Delicious food. Staff who go the extra mile to make you feel at home.

We usually live in self catering and this experience was too great. We were pampered from hand to foot (my wife's feet at the Spa). So much so, that we are now making plans to go back again, possibly in December.

We left the place with a heavy heart, we will definitetly be back.

Great holiday starts at Arniston Hotel. Only stayed one night because we prefer cheaper self-catering holidays. Waenhuiskrans is a very special place for us.
We had very poor service at the Bistro side of the restaurant on Saturday night, and our pizzas' dough was also raw. I can't imagine that a hotel room for which you pay R1680 per night does not have an aircon in it. The breakfasts are very nice, but the scones were old and rock hard both mornings. My bill was R252 too much, but luckily it was sorted out quickly.

Room was clean and comfortable. Delicious food and good waiter service. Reception staff are friendly. All problem I have is to watch out for the lower level in bedroom number 1 by the sitting area. There is a staircase but if you wake up at night confused and don't know the surroundings, you can miss the staircase, fall and get hurt because the wall is quite high to the sleeping area. Even if there are functions, there is no lounge where you can sit and the room is limited. There are sofas and chairs if the dining hall is not used for functions. But this was an exception because the wind was blowing so much that we couldn't make use of the outside grips. Otherwise a nice 2 day stay and would recommend the hotel.
The date was wrong and was moved up to 26, 27 and 28 July.
