I would not stay there for more than 1 night. There is no water if there is no power.
Thandi received us very kindly. The Cottage is very spacious and is well equipped. Everything was neat and clean. However, the duvet on the bunk bed was very small and I struggled to keep myself covered during the night as it was quite cool. The towels are also very small for an adult to use. The streets of Ladybrand are in a state and it is a challenge to get the place. You have to coddle between the potholes and as there is no sign on the pavement, it is easy to miss the Cottage.
My stay was good. The house was spacious and sufficient for our needs. The host is very concerned about the electricity bill, so you can't use the aircon as much, only at night. The WiFi is not very stable at night and is turned off every night. Other than that, the host is friendly and very helpful. Artist's Cottage is an awesome place to stay at.
Was a lovely stay.
Quiet, close to town, comfortable, great WiFi connection, good cooking facilities.
The place is nicely laid out. You felt right at home!
