This is a great place to stay in Estcourt. The host was easy going even though we kept changing our schedule and very accommodating. Due to the size of our group, we got a free upgrade to a family room, which was appreciated. The rooms are nice, the beds comfortable, and breakfast great. The premises are a bit older, and if you want the latest polish, then this may not be the place for you. But if you want to feel at home and really enjoy your time, come here.
Our stay at Ashtonville Terraces was fine, but we were sadly left with a bad taste in our mouths. After checking out a day early due to our work trip being cut short, we phoned to notify them of this and request credit as we often do work in the area. The lady was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. She had no desire to accommodate or help us and very rudely hung up in the middle of the call. We will not be coming back here again.
After confirmation that it would be suitable for me to stop with my caravan, the manager never informed me that I had to use a different entrance. I then burnt my clutch and scraped my caravan. This could have been avoided. The manager tried to act as if I did not inform her that I had a caravan, but she knew I had to plug in the fridge overnight. Strange.
Old house which reminded me of my childhood years, will stay over anytime I pass by there again.
The most humble owner, with a humble abode. My family and I will definitely become regulars.
We stayed in the family room with our two teenage daughters. Was nice, a nice and spacious room, with a small kitchen with tea making facilities. Als was clean and tidy.
The beds were clean and we slept well. It was peaceful and quiet.
I would recommend Ashtonville Terraces for small reunions of friends and family. The staff and owners were helpful and we were able to complete everything we needed to come for.
Everything was nice and fine, the food was ok and treatment from workers was exceptional well. I promise myself that come December, I will be there again.
Excellent service. Rooms very neat and felt safe in the area.
See the stars.
The smell of smoke in the kitchen and other areas is disturbing.
Although this property is supposedly in a quiet residential area, the street is not quiet at all. It seems to be the preferred thoroughfare for taxis, trucks, etc. When we arrived in town we called for directions and the host could only provide directions from the local supermarket. So we got assistance from a petrol station attendant. Upon arrival at the B&B there was nobody in the reception area despite the fact that we had just called to have the gate opened so we could drive into the property. At the time of booking the room, we had selected a room with a shower instead of a bath tub, yet when we arrived we were again asked to choose between tub and shower. The room we ended up in was spacious, but there were ants and other creepy crawlies and the bathroom ceiling was covered with mold - a health hazard to all but especially to those with allergies. Attic panels blew in the wind depositing debris and additional insect life on one of two beds in the room. This was perhaps the worst B&B I have stayed in the South Africa and I have stayed in at least 20.
When we arrived we were met by Vaughn and his partner who were ever so pleasant. they were prepared to go the extra mile to make us comfortable. we were happy to note that the place was really neat cos my kids are really fussy about the places they stay at. we enjoyed the breakfast on sunday would highly recommend Ashtonville Terraces.
Ashtonville Terraces was the ideal stopover for the trip to the south coast. Quiet, cosy and homely. A good night rest was enjoyed with a hearty breakfast in the morning. Thank you to the hosts. Regards Vaughan & Alta
It was easy to find through the GPS, a good value for the money. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great.n
