Units are not serviced on Sundays, but she put in so much effort and still had the unit serviced on her own even though we said it wasn't necessary. We are already recommending the accommodation to friends and family and will definitely stay there again.

I had a great time during the Amohela mountain bike races. Alea is very friendly and received me very well, explained everything to me. I will stay here again when I'm in Clarens. The location is perfect and you can just walk to the center of Clarens where all the restaurants and shops are.

Was calm and relaxed. Well located for the couple who don't want to be disturbed and just want to switch off. Have a good read and relax.
Very basic accommodation. We stayed in the den, which is the only pet-friendly unit. It's very small and outdated. The TV is an old box-type one, and the remotes don't work. The bath is badly scratched, and the shower is tiny. On the good side, it's well located.
The walls between the rooms were such that you could hear your neighbours talking in the adjacent room. There was a load-shedding test in the vicinity of Clarens which caused us to have limited power the whole of the day of arrival and the night.
Everything was fine with the stay.

Received absolutely no service, the price went up by a ridiculous amount and there was not even breakfast served which was the case on previous occasions. Can't sleep because the rats are howling around all night. Absolutely unacceptable.

Rooms run from the house, but have sliding doors to the outside. The view is beautiful over the mountain. A stone's throw from the square with all the shops and restaurants.

Would recommend the guest house, it has everything you need for a nice break. The guest house is within walking distance of Clarens' eateries and shops.
Very comfortable room. Although advertised as self-catering, insufficient crockery, cutlery or utensils for this purpose. We carry our own, but overseas visitors might find this an issue. Manager took good care of us, including parking his own bakkie behind our "takeaway" Fortuner at night as a security measure. Much appreciated! Bathroom downlighters not working - should be checklist item before guest arrival.

This is the third time I have stayed at Aspen. Each time has been special and I will stay there again when I go back to Clarens.
We were at Aspen for two nights. The guest house is close to the main street and also located exactly right so that it is nice and quiet. Wonderful beautiful view! Hostess was fantastic. Thank you very much!
Self-catering unit is very nice.
The room we booked was spacious, with all the equipment you would expect from a self-catering unit and more. The reception was very good, the two bedrooms, living room/kitchen and bathroom were clean and tidy, functional and generally very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again at the foot of the mountain.
