Scenery, lots to do, people friendly.
Stunning town and would definitely recommend the accommodation.
It was just what I needed. The peace and quiet.
Big issue is the load shedding - the power option must be considered to ensure that those staying at least have minimum power, not required for a full house but at least for lighting/Wi-Fi/TV. Lastly, the bed mattress in the main bedroom was terrible, the mattress must be replaced.

We loved our stay. The house was just what we needed and we loved having our own kitchen and lounge as well as balcony area. The sea view was a major bonus too.
Sadly on the night of checking in, I became sick, so spent Friday night, Saturday whole day and Sunday morning in bed. The first time I left the house was to check out. I had developed a lung infection and was going through fever and cold chills all night. Lost my appetite and these sadly made me miss out on exploring the house and the beautiful surroundings. The house had all that a person needed but other than the first two hours after checking in, I couldn't do much. It was nothing to do with the place, could have just been the cold.
From the beginning everything was handled well. If you stay at A'star you are equipped with everything you need. You are close to your good restaurants. You must visit Cathy's Kitchen.
Double bed, mattress needs replacing as springs are gone on right side of bed. Mould on the walls in the en-suite bathroom, an air vent needs to be installed. Walls in first bedroom need cleaning as do back of the bathroom doors.
The following needs attention: the braai area's floor needs cleaning. The toaster grill was dirty. The wall by the braai needs repainting, it looks sloppy. The showers were not clean. There are marks on the walls and doors, it needs a wash. The banks' art learning tracking down. The rest was everything else excellent, and had a great time staying and visiting.
Good view, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants.
We stayed there nicely, but the location is a bit noisy for our liking. We were also disappointed that there was not WiFi as advertised, also the DStv works but it keeps asking to format the hard drive as it is corrupt.
The place looked not well taken care of, the walls had dirty marks, the bedroom ceiling had spider webs, we had problems with the taps, it took forever for the water to come out ─ especially hot water. The couch is old and uncomfortable. They said the place had a dishwater, but when we got there the dishwasher was out of order and they gave us dish soap in a school bottle. No hand wash soap in the bathrooms.
House was clean. Well equipped. DStv, DVD everything needed. Lovely fireplace and barbecue area.
This is a nice unit with a homey atmosphere. The hawkers are troublesome during the day and some of them appear aggressive, as security is only available from 18:00 to 06:00. The fireplace in the unit is an asset in the winter.
This was one of the best holiday places. Excellent service. Accommodation at A'star is safe and neat. Definitely one of the best places for a getaway.

No noise or parties are allowed. The owners reserve the right in advance to cancel any booking without refund, if the rules are broken.The balance is payable 7 days prior to arrival.
No check-ins or check-outs are offered on Good Friday, Christmas Day or New Year's Day
Key- and breakage deposit:
Key- and breakage deposit is payable with the deposit for the booking and refundable by bank transfer within 5 - 7 working days after departure, once the house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please note that the key deposit will be retained and additional charges imposed if more guests than booked are found to be utilising the premises. Please furnish us with your banking details on arrival. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless the key and breakage deposit has been received.
Minimum stay required:
2 nights in low and mid-season
3 nights over long weekends
4 nights over Easter weekend
7 nights in high season
Guests must first visit our offices to check in and get their keys.
When entering Paternoster, turn left at the four-way stop. The 'Stay in Paternoster' office is situated about 75m further, on the right-hand side of the road, at 87 St. Augustine Road.

Check-out time: Strictly at 10h00 on the last day of your stay. Any unit that is not vacated by 10h00 will be subject to a surcharge of R 200 per hour or part thereof, for each hour exceeding the check-out time.
