This unit features a separate bedroom that is furnished with a queen-size bed, a bathroom that is fitted with a shower only, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-plate stove, bar fridge, toaster, and kettle. The living area features a TV with the full DStv bouquet. There is also a wall-mounted panel heater for colder days.
Outside, guests have access to off-street parking and outdoor braai facilities. Regrettably, pets and children are not allowed. Wi-Fi Internet access is available on the premises. Please note that there is another unit above Astrandt 3. The stairs of the upper unit are next to the braai area of this unit.
The quaint fisherman's village of Paternoster on the West Coast is a mere 90 minutes from Cape Town. Generally, there isn't much to do around the village, but to relax and find yourself again. Entertainment is offered by the waves, the gulls and, sometimes, the foghorn.

47 guests' feedbackLoved every minute of it. Close to the beach, lovely facilities, perfect for a getaway.
Very nice stay, everything we would need was there.
Cosy, fantastic, fabulous location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our alone time at Astrandt 3, which was beautifully placed in close proximity to the long beach and the recreation facilities. Loved the area.
I would definitely recommend Astrandt.
Awesome, quaint stay. Great value for money.
Very nice stay. It was very peaceful there. Will go again.
Very nice stay. Thank you.
Small place with everything you need. Would recommend for short-term stays.
Very close to the beach and very, very quiet. Peaceful people around the place.
Very convenient location, close to the beach. Comfortable and cute! Great value for money. I would recommend it to others.
The unit is sufficient for two persons. Although one cannot see the beach, you are there in a minute. Leedo restaurant is also just around the corner. The stoepie is a bit cramped for a braai, but it's doable. The set dining table upon our arrival is a very welcoming gesture.
The people are friendly everywhere. Remember to try to visit all the places. All the gift shops.
We attended a show at Die Koelkamer and were looking for accommodation for two nights. Astrandt 3 was the ideal place for the two of us and the price is very reasonable, we will certainly use it again and also recommend it to friends. Stay in Paternoster (the rental agency) just explained the way badly the first time.
Had a great time, neat little place.
Nice, already planning next visit.
The fact that I would get my breakage fee on departure was a lie.
In the morning when you go out, you are greeted by the sea air and the sound of the waves.
We don't really mind if there are guests staying above our roof. It's always a disturbance and a nuisance. I can't remember if the ad clearly backs this up. Otherwise, it's the West Coast and it largely makes up for it.
The electricity tripped and we sat without electricity for the Saturday and Sunday morning before check-out so we weren't able to have coffee or charge our devices. Also, the taps in the places are difficult to open which over time can cause blisters on one's hands. The upside is the back gate which takes you directly down to the beach, with a beautiful walk through the beach houses and flowers. Also the "braai place" is an old portable - unlike the built-in braai place shown in Astrandt 2.
Was not very neat and clean and the apartment has a damp smell.
Well located, can walk to the beach, safe with alarm. Will go again for sure.
Perhaps a suggestion for a full length mirror in the unit.
It is very close to the sea and in a peaceful environment.
This place has all the basic facilities for accommodation and is so close to the sea that you hear the sea all the time. However, the blanket was dusty, closets had cobwebs in them and cooking facilities were not very clean.
Cute little place. Just right for 2.
Comfortable accommodation by the sea.
Fridge a little small for a 10 day visit and chairs very uncomfortable.
Shortcomings no dustbin lid and no access to WiFi (Astrandt Guest). Recommendation, the lounge chairs should be provided with thicker cushions.
Very clean and tidy. Everything we needed and more. Good service. Beautiful location. A minute to a beautiful beach. We will visit again.
The cozy place is well furnished, the bed very comfortable and DStv is a wonderful treat. The alarm system makes one feel very safe. The beach is clean and easily accessible. We had a wonderful rest and would recommend Astrand for a relaxing holiday.
Very nice and tidy with very cute decor. Everything people need, except a barbecue area which would be nice.
We were away for two years. Our experience has made us want to visit once a month. It was lovely and comfortable. Very neat and everything we need.
The accommodation was very neat and close to the beach. Very safe and beautiful.
We had an incident. We lost our car keys at the fish market on Thursday 17 December 2020. We were completely lost. Did not know what to do and who to contact. We spoke to the people in Astrandt 3, but they were of no help. We ended up calling our daughter in CT to bring our spare key and arranged with them to park our car in Vredenburg with family and bring it back the next morning for safety. However God was good. Someone found the key and kept it till we came to look for it.
Thanks! Our place was clean, neat and in a very nice area.
Very neat and close enough to the sea. Right for two people who want to get away from the city.
Very cozy, decoration cute. Recommend decent braai facilities, as well as parking. Place stinks of mold, pours black mold. Dirt, old dust and cobwebs everywhere, I had to wash the kettle, inside and out. Outside table was sticky (old barbecue grease). Can improve!
Nice place, neat, would just suggest that extra toilet paper and soap may be available for future guests. Also comfortable, neat, can be recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is small and intimate for 2 people. It's beautiful, neat and clean. We would definitely stay there again!
Very cute place, no complaints, had a very nice stay.
Thanks again!
Astrandt 3 is a fantastic getaway spot for a well-deserved break. It's private and a stone's throw from the stand. The decor is tasteful and creative and offers inspiration for your own home. Looking forward to staying here again soon.
Very inconvenient in many ways. There is one extremely small table that is fully packed, because there is no other place to pack. The old wooden buffet is also packed full of tins and all kinds of trinkets which are completely unnecessary, but which certainly contribute to the "old" feeling. The bar fridge is so small that not even a bottle of soft drink can stand upright. No freezer, just a tiny icebox. The drawers and cupboards are creepy. There is absolutely no hanging closet where your clothes can be hung or unpacked. The only hanging cupboard in the room is an old cupboard with room to hang one item and one drawer. The musty smell is overwhelming, especially in the room.
Great stay; the weather was amazing; beautiful village; incredibly "stunning".
Literally a stone's throw from the sea. Very neat and affordable.
The TV is a bit high, but otherwise everything is nice!
