The Lighthouse is a lovely private room with its own entrance. The room has an en-suite bathroom, full DStv, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a kitchenette.
Kula room has a double bed. The room has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a bathroom. The room shares the same kitchen as the Cabins.
A daily cleaning service is provided as well as secure covered parking for all guests. Breakfast and dinner are optional extra and can be ordered at arrival at the guesthouse.

The place was unfortunately not what we were expecting. We were asked to hurry woth our braai on new years eve so the owner could braai, the rooms from previous tenants were left open and a major mess, linen strewn, in sight of the braai area. We recieved a sermon from rhe religious owner, who we eventually told to rather share the braai as we couldn't just hurry it up :S their dogs ate our braai meat off the table! The cottage smelled of mould and the shower felt unclean, even home to a slug. The kitchen was ok but cutlery scarce. The photos in the ad were taken from nice angles, and very decieving. That said, i will admit the owners were very polite, but intrusive. We had traveled 8 hours and did not expect to finally reach our accommodation on new years eve and be so uncomfortable. The beds were very comfortable, which was a relief after a long day. We left before 5 the next morning.

The place is neat and tidy but if you're sensitive to damp then you may have a problem, especially after all the recent rains. Otherwise, you're getting what you pay for.
The room was neat. There is an asbestos heater on the wall, but it was a bit cold. The service was great and the accommodation is value for money. I will definitely stay there again.

Due to no fault of the residence, the city is very dirty, black bags not collected, broken bags all over, huge potholes. The Uber I used was great, punctual, recommended by the owner. I would use them again.
Room had a damp smell. Coffee in the coffee pot was hard. Bedding had a weird smell, as if it did not dry properly. They moved us to a different room upon arrival. Dirty walls. Not what we expected.
Good value for money. There was no municipal water, but that was completely out of their control. Malvae and William were very hospitable and helpful. Thank you guys.

Perfect customer service.
Hostess contacted me before I had to check in just to make sure I was still okay and on my way. Very friendly welcome and even invited for a braai later that evening. Host and hostess were very helpful with any shortcomings. Always pleasant to visit there.

Stay at many guest houses but that one is unique but in a good way with value for money for the price you pay and I will go back there again.

We were received very kindly and taken to our rooms. My companion had a hot shower that night, unfortunately there was no hot water with my shower the next morning. Furthermore, the beds were very comfortable and we slept well.

From the start of my trip, the hosts William and Valmae were wonderful. Both are really friendly and welcome you into their space with open hearts. Their guest house is different to a lot of the other guest houses in the area, it has a lovely communal hub and an upstairs balcony that are available for guests to use. Cars are parked behind a secure gate and there are cameras on the lot. The owners have put time into creating a "home away from home". The plants, decor, and overall atmosphere give guests a much needed break when traveling. William and Valmae really went over and above what one would expect from guest house owners. If you need anything, they are available on their phones 24/7. They are both lovely people who have figured out the right recipe for customer service. If you want a cosy and personal experience while staying somewhere, this is the place for you. I got value for money and was upgraded rooms without asking for it. I would definitely recommend this guest house for anyone traveling to Bloem. Whether you're a family, a single traveler or a group of backpackers, there are options available here. The cottage has basic cooking facilities and the other two rooms that are joined have a shared kitchen with a stove plate, fridge, etc. I didn't make use of the meal option, but the owners are happy to provide a breakfast/ dinner at an additional charge. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I travel a lot and this guesthouse is a home away from home. The owners made me feel part of their "family" . I had to fly to Cape Town for business purposes and they offered to call on my mother who was in hospital at that stage. Who does that still in this day and age without even knowing me on a personal level? I have never come across such a guesthouse where the owner and his wife will go out of their way to accommodate and actually care about a persons well being . They are honest ,caring ,loving, goodhearted persons who treat people with respect and dignity. The guesthouse is a calm environment where one can actually feel at peace, and rest after a long day. As motorhome holidaymakers, we are not used to overnight accommodation. So this was strange and arranged at the last minute after 40 days of touring. Because we were returning by car, we had to look for affordable accommodation at short notice. At.68 met all our needs. Due to our ignorance, we booked without paying attention to the amenities and the hostess herself offered to upgrade us at no extra cost. We appreciated it immensely. Accommodation was neat, comfortable and more than we needed for an overnight stay. It was dead quiet and we could sleep undisturbed. Thank you very much for the personal attention.

I made the reservation for my husband. He was looking forward to a relaxing stay after a long day on the road. I specifically chose accommodation where there is air conditioning, but upon his arrival he was informed that the air-con in his room was not working. That night when he was already in bed, he had to get up and move his car to make room for someone else. There was no milk in the room for coffee in the morning. I will not use this establishment again.
The location of the place is good. For the facility I would never recommend it to anyone. It is indeed a shared bathroom as advertised, but the bathroom looks like a patchwork blanket. The bedroom is ok. You can't even make a cup of tea in your room, the kitchen doesn't even have its own tap and you don't know how safe the water you have to use from a container is. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
I am a student who booked with a budget. When I checked in, I was upgraded to another room. The room was very neat with aircon and a TV with all the DStv channels. The garden is nice and peaceful and I felt safe! I will definitely stay there again!

Home away from home, pleasant stay.
I had to be in Bloem for my graduation ceremony last week and needed accommodation for my mom, dad, eldest sister, and we also booked for my Gran and Grand dad who couldn't make is. We arrived after 18:00 and were treated to a warm welcome, we were also able to take pictures in the beautiful garden and on the deck, such a nice accommodation, and fair tariff as wel! As a family we had a great time and slept snuggly! Definitely good value for money and very neat and beautiful! Will definitely recommend to other people! Thanks so much!
From the outside it didn't look like much and we felt a bit uncomfortable. But as soon as you enter friendliness envelopes you from all sides. Wonderfully quiet and even for a getaway weekend I will be back.

At.68 is a small but beautiful and peaceful place. It is away from all the noise of many cars. It is neat and people are very friendly and helpful.
I can't recommend At.68 with a clear conscience, even thought the hosts were very friendly and the the accommodation reasonable. Not hot water in communal bathroom, and also no shower. If the host lady didn't provide hot-water bottles it would have been a freezing night. Very easy to find the guesthouse from the N1 and arrangements beforehand was spot on.

I had a good reception with coffee and rusks. Room and bathroom was basic but for the price it was sufficient. It was safe, clean and neat. If you just want to stop and go and don't expect 5 star facilities at 1 star prices, this is just for you.
Kindly welcomed. Rooms form part of their private dwelling and not a separate guest house as advertised. The bathroom in rooms 1 and 2 is not only shared by the 2 rooms, but also by the people living in the house, the staff and the room at the front of the house. There are too many people for 1 bathroom. Lighting in the bathroom is bad at night, especially because there is a slight step. Bathroom needs attention, the toilet brush without a handle next to the toilet is made to stand up in sand and it's dirty. Also looks so dirty, I wonder if it was ever used for the express purpose for which it was made. Outside kitchen well equipped. The rooms in the house must make use of a private kitchen. Rooms were neat, but the "chip board" walls between rooms 1, 2 and kitchen offer no privacy. Hang block out curtains or even lined curtains in the rooms, because one can get dressed in there without someone seeing. I noticed that there was access to my room without me knowing and that, to me, is a big no no.
Owners very great and helpful. Always open to please if possible. I wish them greatest in future.
