Knysna's history is in the wood industry, and we share our yard with an emporium of second-hand and restored furniture; it's a treasure trove on our doorstep. This also adds an activity to the weekdays when the store is open. We are within walking distance of a cool little bar called the Bloo Bistro and a few restaurants.

We were travelling through and just needed a quick stop. The location at At The Loerie was very convenient.
Accommodation is very central and located in a quiet area. Provision is also made for load shedding. You don't sit in the dark all the time and the WiFi is always available.
We spent one night at At The Lourie and we wished we could stay longer. The host is warm and inviting and the suites are well appointed. The lounge area was an added bonus to make late night work a bit more exciting. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be back.

Very nice stay, the place has potential to be a B&B rather than self-catering. Very neat and clean.
We were warmly welcomed and there was someone permanently on site if we needed anything. The host was very friendly and made sure we were looked after. This is a lovely guest house with enough rooms to accommodate our large group. We felt safe and would recommend this guesthouse.
Although we had a great time, safety is a concern for me. The front boasts electric fencing, electric gate, security door and good lighting in the parking area. The kitchen side is on a side street with some unsavory characters walking by, there is an electric fence but no security door. The outside door was not locked one night and there is not even a light on. Anyone who gets over the fence has access to the entire guest house.
We only stayed one evening but was super relaxing and a comfy bed and clean and neat and quiet ! Will definitely be back.
The location couldn't be better - absolutely centrally located near dining and entertainment venues. The lounge with shared facilities is excellent - even gingerbread cookies!

Jen was friendly and helpful. She has a beautiful guest house. We felt so welcome and could see all the beautiful things in the house. We were walking distance from the waterfront and felt very safe. Should we visit Knysna again, I will definitely book with Jen again.
Although they advertise as a guest house there was no preparation for breakfast. No cleaners and an incomplete, small self-help kitchen that is not suitable for a guest house. I am too disappointed to write another review.
