The units are beautifully equipped. Although we only spent one night, I think you would be able to stay here for much longer. The pool and air conditioner provided relief in the summer heat. The accommodation is also conveniently located near the Augrabies Valle.
We were able to book one night at short notice. What was absolutely wonderful is that the gate is controlled with a code and you don't have to wake anyone up to drive the next morning. Just leave the key in the door. The room was very luxurious and tasteful, quiet, peaceful with the most beautiful moonrise. We were also 4.5 km from the off.

The facilities are good, unfortunately the showers didn't work — there was no hot water most of the time. Maybe provide alternative ways to get hot water like a donkey when load shedding strikes. The geyser was hot, but the water did not reach the shower.

Loadshedding was bad, then there is no pressure in the water and no gas stove. They might think a little about investing in solar panels or generator, as well as JoJo tanks with a pump.

We are a tour group that does the Namaqualand flower tour every year and only book at Augrabiese Valle Guesthouse. Service is great and accommodation is the best. Would recommend everyone to stay there.
Marguerite is a friendly hostess and offered us free fire wood. The ablutions were clean and looked good. The only problem we had was that the water in the ablutions did not work the whole time and we had no hot water to shower with. It may well have been caused by a pump problem with the load-shedding.
We slept wonderfully warm, despite the cold front that was shaking the country. Storefronts were clean and tidy.

Best decision I have made was to book at this guesthouse. It is very close to the falls, less than 2 mins drive. The rooms are spotless and very modern with everything you need. The garden is beautiful and atmosphere very welcoming. The staff are super helpful and kind. Communication is great. I will definitely return and recommend this guesthouse to anyone. We camped with a tent at Augrabies Valle Guesthouse for 8 days and visited the Augrabies National Park every day for 6 days. The guest house is only 1.4 km from the entrance gate to the National Park. We could leave our tent and everything as it was, because there were no baboons or monkeys who could possibly be out on raids. We had power, a braai area, a washing area and delicious ablution facilities. During the time we were there, there were also overnight visitors who mainly used the guest house itself, but for campers like us, the campsite we had was completely comfortable and can be recommended to other people who may be outside want to spend the night in the National Park, but still want to be very close.

We were hospitably received and treated to a delicious barbecue package, salad, barbecue buns and wood, for an extremely reasonable fee. The rooms are so nice, neat and clean and the sky rail makes coming back from an exciting trip to Augrabiesvalle, which is a stone's throw from the guest house, just that much better. It is insanely hot in that side of the world so the aircon was great, and so was the pool.

We enjoyed a braai - we could sit outside, the accommodation was very well equipped. Sad that some kitchen items were missing. I'm sure these items had been there, but somehow not there any more (a wine opener/ corkscrew and two small sharp knife from the knife set). We could not get the Wi-Fi to connect despite the codes that were given.

Friendly welcome, very close to the Augrabian Falls - 4km. The guesthouse, no. 6, was very spacious and everything was as you would expect from any guest house. The swimming pool lets you cool off after a hot day on the road.
A very spacious room with fully equipped kitchen, a wonderful shower room and view out onto the pool area. A real oasis of green lawn and blue sparkling pool, most welcome in the heat. The aircon was quiet and efficient, which is not always the case in other cottages. Wifi worked well once I got it working. The hostess had many suggestions for activities in the area - Die Pienk Padstal and Khamkirri for its deck and birdlife. Ask for them to collect you by ferry - I took the long way round on the gravel and very bumpy road. The guesthouse is one of the closest to the Augrabies Falls Park entrance, a few hundred metres so a really convenient location. Remember to bring your own drinks and food as there is no shop close by!
Mercia went to great lengths to receive us later than their normal hours. Some of the best accommodation we have stayed in compared to places that are significantly more expensive.

This was by far the best place we stayed at on our tour. The accommodation was palatial, huge rooms and bathrooms and a patio. The garden was neat, the pool was clean, the rooms were spotless. The fittings were superb and the crockery and cutlery of really good quality. There was every possible thing one could think of, grater, electric frying pan, all the comforts of home. The bed was great, both in size and in comfort with plenty of pillows. The TV worked well. The bathroom was great, the shower super. No corners were cut in supplying everything a weary traveller could want.
We were received friendly and was very impressed with the spacious room, the unit is nice private and we were barely aware of the other guests. We would definitely recommend it, also because it is so close to the Augrabies Falls.
We were pleasantly surprised with this guest house! It is beautiful inside. The two-bedroom house was bigger than your own house. So much space. Each room has its own bathroom, large living room, dining room and a large kitchen, with 2 fridges in it! We had a great time. The single room was just as big - it had a sitting area in it, plus a kitchen. We will definitely go again.

The guesthouse is literally on the doorstep of the Augrabies Park. Extremely convenient. It is on a lovely plot also, with a well appointed pool. The flat section we had was extremely large with a full bathroom. A neat and convenient kitchen was on hand for almost all types of basic food prep. Only points of concern: the pool was extremely acidic when we arrived (just some balance and TLC needed). To their credit the owners/operators started to rectify it immediately. The knobs on the 2-plate stove unit were broken, which made operation tricky, even though it was fully functional.
We slept well and felt safe. I highly recommend it.
Short drive from the falls.
Although this establishment is close to the falls and a lovely restaurant, we found the lack of lighting outside by the car park surprising. When we arrived at the gate we had to phone the receptionist who gave us the code to enter the electric gate. She said she would be down shortly to meet us. There was no host to meet us and we waited a while before the receptionist arrived which after a long, hot day we found inconvenient. The room was lovely and the linen of good quality. The shower floor is really dangerously slippery and the lack of mirror above the basin made it difficult for my husband to shave. I suggest the owner of the establishment stay there so they can experience these inconveniences themselves. We noticed that in February this year a guest also mentioned the lack of a mirror above the basin and yet nothing has been done about it yet.
Very peaceful atmosphere.
We used Augrabies Valle for an overnight stop and slept in our own tents. We had to sweep because there were a lot of thorns in the camping area, but staff soon provided a broom. Ablution facilities very good. Pool small but at least could cool down which was very important.

We had a great time staying here and the unit we had was very spacious; especially the bathroom was great. Two easy chairs in the bedroom would have made our stay even better. Unfortunately we had a power outage during the evening and there were no candles or lamps we could use. We also got no response when we called the reception number. We then just went to sleep. The next night we couldn't get any WiFi and TV reception either.

Our group was very professionally and kindly received and the rooms are neat, large and spacious and equipped with everything needed. However, what spoiled a very pleasant experience was that when we left early the next morning there was no water and we had to make do with the little bottled water we had.

The guesthouse was well located for the Augrabies Falls. The place is neat, clean and has all you need. Suggestion: a security gate as there are burglars bars in front of the windows and it's such a farm feel. Problem: We booked unit 1 a week in advance. The day before, after our enquiry, we learned that unit 3 was allocated to us. Unit 1 was given to other guests who booked after us. Unit 3 is smaller than unit 1. No lounge with TV, only small TV's in bedrooms. No dining area with chairs. 1 less bathroom with a toilet. Small kitchenette with bar fridge for the same price without prior notice. The problem was rectified after we insisted, but caused unnecessarily stress and unhappiness. Those units each have 4 single beds, but are not comparable at all.

The unit is fully self-catering with an outside braai at the sparkling clean swimming pool. The room with its fully equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom is modern and comfortably furnished with everything needed. The air-conditioner was a bonus! Marguerite made me feel so welcome. Even on the last day they shared of the sweet grapes grown on their farm. I would strongly recommend Augrabies Valle Guesthouse and would love to return there!
We plan on going there again, but definitely staying a day or two longer. One night was just too little. It is beautiful there. It is neat, clean and so peaceful. Our family fell in love with the place!
I would not recommend the meat packs. Make the extra effort and go shopping in town. Or I would suggest that they find out what type of chop and steak the guests prefer.

We were very happy with the spacious rooms, but a bar fridge for a self-catering unit is woefully inadequate, so we had no place to store our frozen food. When travelling for 3 weeks, and expecting to self cater, we obviously take along a lot of frozen prepared meals, as after a day sightseeing we want to relax in the evenings and with my asthma, we never braai.
We had a very nice stay here. We arrived here at 17h40 in the hot summer heat of 40°C, after driving 1045 km. The office was locked, but there was a phone number available that we could contact, and the staff were soon there to show us our room. The air conditioning was very effective, and the pool provided welcome relief. The kittens on the premises are beautiful. We will definitely visit again. However, the advertised breakfast packs were not available to us.

Very warm welcome, inquiries about our progress on the road while on the way there. Everything was neatly and modernly redone, extremely tasteful. Also provision of braai suits, if we wanted to braai. Was really a pleasant experience to be able to stay there.

Very nice farm accommodation. Spacious rooms with basic facilities. Didn't really interact with owners, no meals such as breakfast available. Had to go to a different place for that. Will definitely recommend this place it is perfect if you want to visit the falls. Just be prepared to cook your own breakfast or drive to a different place.

The campsites are basic, but the ablution facilities have hot water and are clean. Access is easy and the setting was quiet and central (right in front of the entrance to the park and a stone's throw from the hotel that serves great meals).

Lovely quiet location in a beautiful wine environment. Park Augrabies falls apart, except for the waterfall.
The rooms are very spacy, comfortable and clean. The guesthouse is just 2 kilometres from the Augrabies Falls National Park. This park is really a treasure. The house has a beautiful stoep and good braai facilities. The only thing we missed was a pool to cool down in this hottest part of SA. Other thing was that the owners were difficult to reach when we needed them for some things. Supermarket and restaurants are just around the corner. So, when we decide to go back to this part of the country, we will probably stay in this guesthouse again.
Please place a trash can by the braai and provide a grill to braai on. An outdoor light by the braai would also be good.
A bit far from everything, apart from a visit to the falls there is not much more to do.

Stunning place! Very clean, nice kitchen and bathroom with everything you need supplied. Nice and close to the Augrabies National Park. Staff were wonderful and they were willing to help after we realised we were going to arrive quite late.

Reception friendly, open and warm, very good idea with braai suits for sale for delicious braai as well as homemade braai sandwiches from the books. Quiet and peaceful and plenty of space for people with children who want to let off some energy on a large yard. Would stay there again anytime!

Very pleasant stay in a peaceful environment with many birds visiting the garden. The unit has all the necessary equipment in good working order and the linen was clean and fresh. There are also several places to eat close to the resort and is the closest accommodation to the Augrabie Waterfall.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings. The service is very good and the rooms clean and well furnished. (We only wish there were more towels than the single towel in the bathroom. We really appreciated the personal visit from the owner and the information about the grape industry was very interesting and informative, we will definitely return with more appreciation in the future look at a table grape!If the opportunity presents itself we will be happy to visit again.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely, well equipped self catering facility in close proximity to the famous Augrabies falls. We enjoyed a safe and pleasant overnight stay.
Fantastic place! Short little interview. Frying pan is necessary in the kitchen, as are salad bowls.
A farm atmosphere! A wonderful experience with grapes on the veranda, surrounded by pomegranate orchards, nice relaxed atmosphere and very intimate. Really DELICIOUS!
