Very neat unit. Very spacious and safe in the heart of Stellenbosch. Walking distance to the University and all restaurants.
If you want to explore Stellenbosch then this is the place. It is very close to restaurants, bars and shops. Your stay is guaranteed to be homely and comfortable.
The unit is well equipped and has a very central location, within walking distance of many attractions and the university.

Customer service needs to be stepped up. According to the web page we have been sent documentation to complete the Covid form. We already left very early on Thursday morning, I didn't take my computer with me, so I couldn't receive any documentation, nor complete any form. It was just indicated to us that these are their rules and that's it. We were also told that if we felt that way, we should just go to another place. I have to be honest, if it wasn't for Elana who assisted us very nicely afterwards, sent us the codes for the key and road map to parking, we wouldn't have stayed the night at Jan Cats.

Just exactly what we were looking for. An apartment that sleeps 6, in the center of town, walking distance to everything and safe - you couldn't ask for more! Everything was super neat and comfortable and the agent was always available for questions. Just lovely!
By car, the stay was a bit difficult to find. the car was in the parking garage, but the lift to the apartment could not be used so it was very difficult to drag the suitcases. The power went out (the landlord can't do anything about it) but apparently that happens quite often. Then it would have been nice to have one candle so you could still see something.
Overall a very nice stay and will book with Jan Cats again. Missed soap, shampoo and shower head in the bathrooms.

We had quick and friendly service during our stay, and the location was perfect, in short, the place was first class. The only thing that I would have liked to see was some tea and coffee for quick use -as in a extra on the counter, and perhaps some cold water in the fridge.
The location is so perfect, you don't even need a car there. The layout of the apartment is spacious and six people can stay there with ease without being in each other's space. It is right in the middle of all the businesses, restaurants and shops. It was just perfect!
