The hosts were attentive and fantastic, early check-in no problem. The place was very clean. I have stayed at many B&B's in SA and found the place a bit dated. Linen and towels could use an upgrade, and there was maintenance with drilling right outside your bedroom window when you are trying to relax after a long drive. I understand maintenance is necessary but please tell guests beforehand to expect it. No water in the room - just a small bottle would have been appreciated. A little real milk would have been great. Overall, wouldn't recommend it for a long stay and not sure I will go back. Breakfast was great but only at 8, an early breakfast for people wanting to get onto the road early, would have been appreciated. In terms of value for money, it was disappointing.

Beautiful place with very neat surroundings. The owners think of every little detail and delicious breakfast. Best of all, each room has a small private outside seating area that I couldn't see on the site. It was a very pleasant surprise!

Amazing friendly welcome from Meike and Martin! Very helpful in all respects, especially little things like a "Helpful Hints" folder in the room, and recommended restaurants. All round exceptionally clean, neat and well appointed - well done! Excellent breakfast whether full or continental. Looking for an excuse to get back to Mossel Bay and a stay at Avenues.

We stayed for 3 nights, using Mossel Bay as a base to see some of the surrounding area. The accommodation is very good with nice rooms, and good amenities (pool, lounge, etc.) for use, as well as secure parking. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The property is located in a quiet residential area, which is just a few minutes drive from the centre.

The owners are lovely people. There were no complaints there, but unfortunately we have complaints about the fact that there are no braai facilities for residents, the braai there is for private use only and this put us off a lot. Next there is no fridge or microwave. We had to buy ice every day to keep our soft drinks cool. Lucky for us, we took our coolerbox with us. There is also no microwave, so we couldn't have the previous night's food etc. do not heat. Pleasant place but these are essential facilities and unfortunately I will not go again if they are not worked on.
My teenage daughter and I stayed at Avenues Guest House for 4 nights and were impressed with the cleanliness of the unit, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast. Secure parking behind a security gate at night was a great peace of mind. Guest house centrally located for daily trips. The swimming pool available to the guests was also a lovely bonus during the summer.

We stayed for only one night, but we wished it was longer. Wonderful charming and helpful hosts made our stay a most rememberable one. The place is very well kept and perfectly clean. Once in Mossel Bay again we sure will return to the Avenues Guest House.
Secure off street parking and very clean and comfortable accommodation . Swimming pool and relaxing garden for guests use. The host is very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again and recommend it to all types of travelers. WiFi was free and reasonably speedy.
We were greeted by our hosts as we arrived. A quick tour of the amenities followed. Advice given on restaurants in the area (these are also covered in the brochure in the bedrooms). Clean, neat rooms. Safe parking behind security gates. Great breakfast in the morning before departing. Great value for money. What more could you want!
Definitely more suitable for adults. Not suitable for fussy toddlers. Could see the owners are not used to the hustle and bustle of little ones. No television. We travel a lot locally as well as overseas. This is the first time we have been asked for a "tip" for the cleaners. If we find a cleaner to be particularly helpful we give a tip, but there wasn't even a cleaner in sight. It is expected on large international passenger ships to give a tip where a person is responsible for cleaning your cabin for the duration of the trip.
All we really missed in the room is a bar fridge. It was very hot and we couldn't keep any drinks cold.
The accommodation was okay, but there are no chairs to sit on in the room and you can only sit on your bed. TV reception not good at all. The owners are in the wrong industry. No hospitality. Will never book with them again.
