Clean fresh drinking water is available and we have no water restrictions.

We had a lovely stay at Avondsrus with a stunning view of the stars at night. Beautiful location, close to the penguin colony and the main beach in Betty's Bay.
Owners are friendly and we were warmly received. Nice place for a quick over night stay.

Host was not friendly; no wifi; loadshedding was a problem as only one small lamp was provided; other guests arrived at 1:30 am and shone headlight on my window and made lots of noise. No sign of host the next morning so I just left. It was also impossible to find any food in town that night, but no advice was offered on where to eat. It was not disanstrous but I would not recommend.
Beautiful area, will definitely visit again.
We had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend the place. Rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. Bed was comfortable and it's very nice to hear the sea in the evening and wake up in the morning with the chirping of the birds.
The penguins are close by and Betties Bay has a vast, white swimming beach with the mountains in the background.
Cosy place for overnight accommodation, ample tea/coffee, and even cereal and milk; very impressive. Easy location. Was a bit uneasy with the door that leads to the main house, of which we do not have control (i.e. no key or latch).

Avondrus' 2 en suite rooms were perfect for our need to be able to spend the night. Everything was clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms and the coffee, tea and breakfast cereal were special. Friendly owners. Thank you very much!
Avondsrus offers value for money and has an old-worldly charm. You can relax nicely here, because there's a sort of calmness and peacefulness that come with the house.
Will definitely go for another weekend.
The hosts are friendly and helpful and the ground floor's spacious room with a full bath en suite is comfortable. There is an inter leading door to the hosts' lounge which could be better sound proofed and I would have liked crisp linen on the bed.

Die place is a nice little place to stay. Everything you need and close to everything in Betty's Bay and surrounding areas. The place is clean and has all of the facilities you need for a holiday.
