It was truly a joy to be able to spend the night there. The neighborhood is quiet and the unit was neat and well maintained. The porch on the balcony with a view of Table Mountain was an (added extra) to the room for us country people.

Disappointed. Arrived and want to make a cup of coffee and find an empty bottle without sugar in the cupboard. Sunday morning rushed by the cleaner from 09:00 and we had room until 10:00.
Our room was very spacious but did not have good natural ventilation, so relied on an air-conditioned to keep it cool, which did not work during loadshedding. The plumbing relied on pumps, which also did not work during load shedding. Would have been comfortable were it not for the Eskom debacle.
I loved the fact that it was quiet and private. The room we stayed in was really fantastic. Excellent value for money. We ended up flying at the last minute instead of driving and it is well situated even though we didn't have our own transport. Thank you Alicia and team.

A well needed break away, and the stay at Awali Lodge was just what was needed. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was big and comfortable, and the bed gave the sleep needed. Overall, a great stay in a quiet area. The mall is walking distance which is also great.
Felt unsure about dos and don'ts.
Room stank of mold. Sheets were dirty and wrinkled. The toilet was dirty and could do with a new seat. In summary: the room was poor, dirty and not worth the money we paid. Should have a "no parking" area in front of the room. Will never stay here again. Give them 1 star out of 5.
The place is walking distance from Bayside Mall and very central to explore the rest of Cape Town.

We slept there for 5 nights. The staff is very friendly and the place is very tidy and is cleaned daily. Is close to the shopping centers as well as the sea. Vehicle was safe at all times.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed. There was immediately help with the carrying of the suitcases. The room and bathroom were very clean, tidy and something special on the coffee table. Slept and showered comfortably. Will definitely stay there again.

Clean, spacious and safe close to shops, but a bit far from sea front. No staff on site, but the systems in place work well. Just had incident that initially gate wouldn't open with pre sent code. There was no answer at any of the helpline numbers. Fortunately, after repeated attempts, the gate did open.

This accommodation offers everything one needs to rest while exploring the Cape and I would definitely recommend it. The accommodation is very centrally located - walking distance from a shopping center and very close to drive to the beach. There is ample secure parking which can only be accessed with a remote control gate. There is also a small play area with a climbing and climbing for children under a nice big tree. Unfortunately you can sometimes hear and see when any of the other guests drive in or out and we kept our curtains and door closed. The living unit is comfortable, neat and sufficiently equipped. There is a TV with a limited DStv package which was sufficient for us. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and the room has an air conditioner which was very convenient. There are a few of the items that need some work (the frame of the portrait above the bed looked like it burned a long time ago and started to melt) but it doesn't take away from the comfort of the stay. It had everything we needed and is definitely value for money. Very good and friendly customer service, without being pushy.

We could only stay for one night, because we had to fly back to Pretoria the next day. But the rooms are very neat, clean and luxurious! I was very impressed! The only thing that I see at most guest houses are that no provision is made for women in front of a mirror near a plug. There are mirrors in the bathroom, but the plugs are in the bedroom, so I had to blow my hair without being able to see what I'm doing. Only a small mirror table will suffice in guest houses or just a mirror near a plug.
We only really used the accommodation to sleep - toured a lot and we weren't there during the day.
We did more touring and driving around and just slept at Awali Lodge, the place was good value for money for us.

Our overall experience was very good. The unit was neat, tidy and clean. We really appreciated the Weber braai on our balcony. Jacqui was an excellent host and we will definitely make use of Awali Lodge again in future.

Except for a few little qualms at the beginning, the accommodation was okay overall. The self-catering and DStv are fairly limited. Personal and vehicle safety very good. It was nicely cleaned for us each morning. Conveniently close to the shopping centre for quick shopping. If you're staying on the lower level, there is no view.
We did a few things in Cape Town before checking in and I got a call from the owner wanting to know what time we would get there. I couldn't give him an answer because we were on holiday and didn't work according to the time. If the check in time is indicated on the website I feel that the owner or receptionist should be at the lodge or guesthouse at that time so that it is convenient for guests. We weren't welcomed, they told us we were expected later.
We stayed at Awali Lodge for one night, the room was dirty, bed lamps full of dust and the bathroom full of ant nests and daddy long leg spiders in the shower. I mean, it's not cheap to sleep there and then you get it. The photos do not reflect reality.

I made this reservation for my kids for such a getaway. They say everything was just right. A very neat place, safe parking off the street and the hostess just very very friendly. Can definitely recommend it. It really is value for money.

I had to leave a note for the cleaning lady to say make please. the bathroom clean, it's very half done and the garbage bin is not emptied either. It was very bad for me and a first at a 4 star. There are no plates to use, and have to use microwave/oven which also doesn't work well all the time. If I had seen it on the ad, I would have made an alternative choice.

With the heat wave we are currently experiencing, the rooms were hot without an air conditioner. In the room there is no mirror so it is difficult to blow dry your hair. The bus service is conveniently close to the guest house. Delicious seafood restaurant in Bloubergstrand.
Awali Lodge was the highlight of our 5 day stay in the Cape. We stayed here on our last night and for the first time during our holiday it felt like we were on holiday. The reception was very warm and cordial and an effort was made to show us everything in the room. What a pleasure to be able to relax under air conditioning while watching rugby. Everything was very clean and tidy and of very good quality. Awali is securely fenced and you just feel safe. The site itself is also very neatly maintained and clean. There are even climbing frames for people staying with children. There is a large shopping center within walking distance, just down the street. The beaches are not far from Awali and there is certainly more than enough to do. I will stay here again for sure.

Accommodation comprises luxurious and fully self-catering suites, not suited for cooking but perfect for heat and go meals. Three one-bedroom suites and 2 bachelor suites, provide the perfect base to explore the Cape Peninsula and Boland or have a home-away-from-home on the next business trip. Each unit is individually decorated and provides the very best in comfort, style and privacy. Wireless broadband internet access is available in all the rooms.
If guests prefer more than the privacy of the suites, an communal undercover braai area and roof terrace provides opportunities to meet with others.
The lodge has a small conference area that can host a maximum of 25 delegates. This air-conditioned facility is equipped with a video- and data projector, 32-inch LCD TV and monitor as well as a sound system.
