Google Maps did not find the guest house. Took us to Azalea Road but wrong house.
Azalea was probably very nice at one time, but now falls into a new SA. Sheets on my bed had not been changed - obviously slept in the night before: supervisor said "she will speak to staff". She immediately tried to help. Dirty marks on walls, light switch in bathroom smashed/damaged; etc. Location and safety were good.
Very unfortunately spent the whole hour and a half struggling to open the gate. The owner / manager does not answer the phone and I also had to shower with cold water.
There was a used toothbrush in the bathroom. The mirror was broken and the access panel into the ceiling was missing, so dust and cold air got into the room. Coffee and sugar were provided but no kettle to boil water. The bed was not the cleanest I've had and seemed like someone was eating biltong in the bed. An old mattress was standing in the hallway and the place smelt like smoke. Not worth the R750.
Rooms are neat but hot water is a big problem.
Bathing with cold to lukewarm water at night and in the morning. Please improve your water heating and shower heads (use low water finer spray shower heads to reduce water use). Otherwise left well since it was an overnight sleep.
Would recommend staying here anytime!

We booked literally an hour before arrival as our trip took longer than anticipated. This service was impressive. The accommodation was not great, a bit run down and the double bed seemed to have single bed sheets on which made it an uncomfortable night. All in all I think it was not good value for money. With some attention to detail this could be sorted out and a very nice stay over.

I would not suggest Kuruman as an overnight stop at all. It was Saturday when we arrived in town. The traffic was bad and the main street (N14) was littered with cars playing loud music and people standing on the side of the road drinking beer. I had the directions from the guest house which said we should turn onto the N10. After struggling up and down 3 times we still couldn't see a sign for the N10 and didn't want to stop to ask for directions. We then decided to drive on and ended up driving through to Johannesburg. I can therefore not comment on the guest house at all. I would not book Kuruman as an overnight stop for sure.
We had a lovely stay. They accommodated our late arrival and early check-out.
Very neat units. Parking right outside your door. Friendly and helpful owners.
