We had a nice stay, the air conditioner kept the room nice and warm through the cold night. Everything smells clean and is neatly in its place. Vehicle behind security gate which is a big plus.
The stay was amazing. The room was clean and neat. Love the set up and hosts were amazing. Although it was cold, the extra blanket requested was an amazing help. I really look forward to my next stay at Azalea and am keen to recommend it to my friends. 10 out of 10 and absolutely great value for money.
Undisturbed and safe.
We were very warmly welcomed by the host and her husband and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The host was always available if we wanted to know anything and the staff was very friendly.
Comfortable place with safe parking. Clean, tidy and everything you need is included.
The unit was chosen for its low price. It was cramped, but everything you could need was there. All that bothered me was the traffic noise - it's next to a busy road with lots of trucks, also right through the night.
The stay was proper, I really liked the vibe of the town.

Room is clean and tidy but there are still a few things that should get attention. The latch of the toilet door is defective and cannot close. There is a towel rail that is across in front of the mirror by the sink. For shorter people than myself, the rail is exactly eye level which makes using the mirror difficult. A rubber mat in the shower can help prevent one from slipping on the slippery floor due to not soap. The zippers of two pillows (blue in color) were both broken, which detracts from the cleanliness of the room. Vehicle parking is secure which is more of a requirement than a convenience these days. The remote control of the vehicle gate's battery is draining as one has to stand at the gate to open or close the gate. The above is not a negative, just a few things to pay attention to that will take the stay to a higher level of satisfaction. Thank you very much for the hospitality.
Seriously disappointing and way too many inconveniences. DStv remote not working, replacement remote also not working. Didn't bother to assist in resolving this. Cockroaches and crickets in the room. Broken gate remote and taps in the bathroom. No cutlery in room. Air con on a timer and switches off automatically after a few minutes. Geyser not working, have to manually switch on outside. No wifi connection, it was advertised that there would be WiFi but nothing. Unprofessional Service. Never again.

Disappointed. Chairs were so stiff they were unusable. Place was dirty. Biscuit crumbs were still lying on chairs. Strange bugs in the room. Guests knocked us up 3 times around midnight to beg for wine. I realize it's not Azalea's fault. What a less than pleasant experience.
Not a nice place to arrive at after a long journey. Room itself is reasonable. Path to room extremely sloppy. Walk past dirty drain and stub bin. Stored rubbish next to room. Exterior light not working. Air conditioner noise. No tea, teaspoon, milk, fridge. Ice tray empty. No outdoor seating. Parking area dirty. I asked for another room. Als was full according to owner's daughter, but there was no one in another better unit.
The guest house is on the main road, so it's easy to find and the perfect rest stop for a long journey.

It was a pleasant surprise to be so kindly received by Ansie. Ansie went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. Azalea is neat and clean. Enough sugar, coffee, tea and milk with a kettle full of water just ready to turn on, after our 9 hour trip to Upington. We were able to start the air conditioning immediately and just relax in the heat. All amenities are neat and in good condition. I will definitely stay there again if I travel there again.
Perfect for one or two nights.
We had a nice stay, but there was a misunderstanding with the beds I asked for. They tried to fix it. Would prefer that the TV should be in lounge area for a family, a little uncomfortable in the room.
Very little movement space, cupboards without handles and locked. Curtain hangers broken and toilet against sink. Was glad only slept there one night.
The stay was pleasant, although there were certain items that would need attention, the toilet seat in one room was not fixed, some of the doorknobs of the cupboards were loose, and then lastly the fridge in the large bedroom made a lot of noise, may need to be replaced.
The rooms need attention. The braai at the bins isn't up to standard. Prefer top sheets and we had to wait for rooms to be made ready.

It was close to everything and I felt good about the safe parking.
The unit was clean and neat, but we had to ask for another glass because there was only one in the unit. There was only one bedside lamp that didn't work because there wasn't a two point plug for the lamp. There was a TV but no remote.

The guesthouse is situated in a very peaceful suburb but close enough to town for all your needs. The place was clean and the check in was smooth without any fuss as payment was correct as per TravelGround quotation.
After a long drive from Cape Town, our reception at Azalea Guesthouse was very good. Place was neat and clean, and very importantly the aircon was excellent. Will recommend it anytime and if I'm in Upington again I will definitely stay there again.

Hospitable and friendly. Room tidy; car safe. Just a pity for the trucks that disturb through the night.
Good location, tidy. The radiator was leaking water, and so was waking up in the middle of the night with water dripping around my head as a result. The water had already filled the floor. The safety gates did not work so could not be closed. Too little parking for the entire guest house. Double roofing for many units is definitely not enough. Basic needs were met.
I asked beforehand for crockery - there was none, and when I asked the lady brought us scrap knives and forks and plates.
