The best place ever, quiet, clean and friendly service.
All round a lovely place to book either a one-night stay or longer. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our little Yorkies were happy, and there was an enclosed back area for them. We would stay there again.
Our host deserves to be mentioned. Very helpful and very friendly! Nothing was trouble. He and his team of players definitely made our stay enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay, couldn't braai coz the weather wasn't nice, the wifi wasn't working, but all in all, it was nice and cosy.

Short new mattresses. Traffic disturbing the rear of units.
The electric blanket was an absolute bonus, because it gets bitterly cold in that room. Luckily there were extra blankets too. The WiFi didn't pick up so well, but I had my own. The TV and lights worked during load shedding which was also a big plus. The shower could do with a decent shower head. Me and the floor were soaked when I just opened it because there was no head, with a big hole, where the shower water comes out. Other than that it was a lovely peaceful evening.
Outdoor facilities were bigger than expected. Kitchen and bathroom quite small. Very pleasant atmosphere.
We had a good visit and would like to return during the summer when the weather is better. Enjoyed the fact that the doggies had an enclosed yard to run in and did not have to be on the leash at all times. Would just like to see a little maintenance done on the unit (Sunbird) we stayed in. The backdoor's deadbolt was broken, there are very limited bowls etc. for a self-catering unit ie. there was no grater, the only glass bowls to be used in the microwave had no lid, the dessert bowls were only 4. If these little things can be sorted this would be a great stay for self-catering with your doggies. Especially as it is near to a very enjoyable walk in the Steenbok Nature Reserve.

The location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Maybe leave a loadshedding schedule for guests out of town. The fridge is a bit small. We had a cottage with a back area but the table and chairs were not clean.
Backs onto the main road. Hot water was a problem but help was given and told solar had just been installed.

I travelled the Knysna area and booked an overnight stay at the establishment. The room booked was spacious, clean and well located around the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The room was also close to the parking area which was a bonus. The open plan room had all the necessities, including a bathroom, kitchen/lounge with television. The owner is friendly and ensures you feel right at home. In today's world, Wi-Fi is as important as the room itself - the venue has Wi-Fi available, which conveniently enabled me to complete a few after-hour tasks. The establishment is located close to a busy road and rooms are rather close to one another, which might be an inconvenience to sensitive travelers. The swimming pool has a lovely water function which creates a tranquil feel and assisted in blocking out most of the traffic noise. I would highly recommend this establishment to solo/business travelers, couples, young professionals and small families.
Despite arriving late, Appel was very welcoming and friendly. We rented the 2 bedroom unit which was comfortable and clean. The beds were made, dishes were done, vacuumed throughout and fresh towels every day. When asked to help with the TV, Appel was there in a flash and sorted it out for us. We couldn't have asked for more. We would definitely recommend B My Guest to all our friends and family. Thank you for your great hospitality.
We booked for 4 big people and got 2 units although there are 2 rooms in each unit, it's great service, our 2 Staffies were kindly received, the cozy pool is a big plus and the owners are very friendly, thank you very much, we will see you again soon.
We were a little disappointed when we saw that the trash can in the bathroom was not cleaned. The hot blanket's switch had a hard time turning on and I couldn't turn it off. Had to pull it out from the wall. The wires were also bare and that can only be an electrical hazard. Lampshade by the bed closest to the bathroom was in battered condition. Maybe they can also look at the freezer compartment in the fridge. If the ice starts like that, you won't get much in the box.

When I arrived and greeted the Lady. She didn't greet me, but was very quick to tell me no visitors. She didn't expect a us. Poor receptionist.
The swimming pool and braai facilities make the stay worth it. The room is neat and clean and comfortably accommodates a family of 2 to 4 people. It is more than affordable as a self-catering place. As a traveler or vacationer/tourist, you don't need more than that. Many thanks also for the friendly service.

Easy to find with ample off the street parking with shady net. The back of the property is against the main road into town, so morning traffic and trucks are a challenge. The driveway is steep and you can’t see another vehicle approaching. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Strangely our room had a queen size bed and a bunk bed but the table was a tiny two seater. Overall, it’s a great place to explore Knysna.
Should please pay attention to bathroom. Shower has a curtain. Towels were laundered, gray and full of holes. Bed linen has stains on it, but was clean. Carpets full of dust. For the money, it was probably acceptable if towels were just new and whole.
The white bedding had old stains on. The table was dirty. The kettle was flaking. Old plug looks as if it has surged previously. Then the pool was clear but full of floating pollen and leaves - next morning looked better but didn't swim previous day as I wanted due to that.

A lovely destination, with safe parking, and clean rooms. Being self-catering, there was everything one needed. It had easy access from the freeway, and is very close to the town of Knysna.
Very friendly reception, the host immediately made us feel welcome. Room is nice and tidy, the host showed us how to use the fireplace and the room is cleaned every day.
All that is needed for an overnight stay and everything clean and tidy. Can only recommend a fan.

Nice place with good management who got there quickly when other guests had a problem. Place is small but very comfortable. However, its location was not the best for me as it is right next to the main road near the entrance of the town. I was quite worried about my car in the parking area.

The private garden needs attention, the moles are busy plowing the place. Would advise that the place be provided with mesh in front of the windows to keep insects out. The management is very helpful and friendly. Discount coupons we received were quite useful.
When we arrived the receptionist was very unfriendly and the cottage was cold without a heater. The place is nicely serviced and clean towels etc. was regularly provided.

Found the lodge easily and it is located nice and close to the necessary shops and restaurants. The facilities in the lodge are of good quality and we encountered no problems. Will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

It was neat and service was good. Room was very comfortable.
The people are incredibly friendly and it was very convenient that I could take my little dog with me. It's neat and we had our own garden and braai and just a "treadmill" too. Garden and the pool area are very clean. It's also nice and close to the restaurant and shops.
The service was great, and I liked the fact that the rooms were seperate. Comfortable beds. The rooms needed a little make over. Our shower was not great and the carpet was a bit dirty, but the outside area was also awesome.
Great place to be, will go again sometime and tell all my friends/family. Comfortable and wonderful experience!
The only problem was that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived. Upon inquiry at the reception, it was quickly rectified. The rest of our stay was faultless. Everything was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very good value for money, I will definitely use B My Gaste again.
