Yes, slept well.
The stone rondavel was very comfortable with everything we needed for a self-catering stay. Full DStv was included. We enjoyed walking and running on the farm as well as a walk along the Orange River. The mineral pool is well maintained. Well worth a visit.
Better suited for a longer stay than an overnight stop, but we slept well (with a warm blanket for a freezing winter evening) and the hostess was very friendly and helpful.
Outside area not maintained, lights still out of order since previous comment. Really a place with a lot of potential, and easy to enlarge and improve, but needs someone with passion to put the sparkle back again.
Lovely spot an easy distance from Aliwal North. Very well equipped rondavel on a working farm. We enjoyed the hot pool.
Excellent, considerate hosts. We could not wish for better. Relaxed, enjoyed the tranquillity of the farm. Enjoyed the concealed hot spring pool. Unusual, but we were also fortunate to watch world champions shear sheep. It would definitely be worth another visit.
We were only here for one afternoon and one evening, but we and the children really enjoyed it. The house was neat, clean and situated in a lovely garden. We went for a walk to the impressive Orange River which flows about 300 m from the house and was in flood during our visit. The hot swimming hole, where water bubbles out of the stone, was a particular highlight. We had the hot spring pool to ourselves for the afternoon and we probably floated in the lukewarm water for an hour. I will definitely visit this guest farm again!

Really enjoyed the tranquility. Everything was perfect except for chairs outside which were broken.
I felt that it was a long trip to a spring that wasn’t very warm. We were lucky to be the only guests at the time as the pool is quite small. Was breakfast included in the rate?
The location of the rondavel with lapa and hot springs makes it an unique and scarce place where you can find yourself again. The untouched nature and sheep walking around our rondavel and the idyllic sunset and the silence is unique and our stay was too short to experience it to the max. We will definitely go back for a longer time. The neatness and clean kept rondavel is very good!
